My tomato plants are in flower copper, and I'm going to have a bumper crop of strawberries by the looks of it this year too.

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/05/2017 07:28

Maybe next time copper. Yes pm your address. I'm going to the post office tomorrow to send some others off so can add your to them. No postage money required from you.

Raining here. Going to Richmond castle more fool us. Better take the water proof.

WreckTangled · 29/05/2017 07:34

Oh copper thanks! I don't have a greenhouse. I bought some grow bags but I have too many plants for them by miles Blush not sure what to do with the extras

DH is working today. I'm going with my dc to my aunts for lunch. My wonderful nan and grandad will be there too.

ememem84 · 29/05/2017 08:29

Morning all. Happy bank holiday!

Plans for today were beach...but it's grey and rainy. 😩

We've got a viewing on our place at lunchtime so will see how that goes.

Dh is also planning on hitting the coop. Fun times!

mammymammyIRL · 29/05/2017 08:37

Free malteasers on clicksnap, today only.

Coppersulphate · 29/05/2017 09:32

Thanks Life, I will PM you.
I passed the turn off to Richmond castle on my way home yesterday and wanted to go. I love castles. Enjoy.
Wreck, I am the same with too many plants. But I can't just throw them away. Big (well, ok, little) problem.
Enjoy bank holiday

Taytocrisps · 29/05/2017 09:37

Oh Creme your poor foot! Sounds very painful.

We went to a family table quiz yesterday which cost €20 for a table and I also spent €5 on raffle tickets. It was a bit of fun and they had a good mix of questions for adults and kids.

I've a Tesco delivery arriving shortly. It cost €118.21 but that includes 3 bottles of wine (we've visitors next weekend) and also baking ingredients because DD's class are holding a cake sale for charity and she wants to make some gingerbread men.

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/05/2017 10:05

With the excess plants could you sell them outside your house with an honesty box?

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/05/2017 10:08

My house looks like an explosion in a flour mill. 2x home made play dough, chocolate buns and cheese scones baked

WreckTangled · 29/05/2017 10:10

No one comes past my house apart from my neighbours.

Ds' bike has a puncture and the breaks aren't working 🙄

Loveabaconsandwich · 29/05/2017 10:36

Hoping for a LSD. Walked to the shop and got bread, maltesers (thanks fluffy ) and I let the kids pick a small pack of sweets each and a kit Kat for DP.

Amazon have lost my subscribe and save nappy order for the second time in a few months. Now they don't have any in stock to send a replacement. So I need to work out where has the best offer on those nappies.

Will be a quiet day here. DP has gone back to bed as he looked after DD2 in the night. I may have a nap later too.

Loveabaconsandwich · 29/05/2017 10:37

Hope meadow is ok?

ememem84 · 29/05/2017 10:46

Tomorrow is likely to be a spendy one.

I need to do a shop in boots. Am running low on shampoo, shower gel and deodourant. Sigh. Have made a list though. As much as the beauty box would be nice I'm going for own brand stuff so will have to buy an absolute ton to get up to £50. Unless I fall into the ysl counter or clarins or smashbox must not do that

Also I think it's time for a bra fitting. Sigh. I'm limiting myself to two of the same brand I usually get (same style same everything just buy in different colours) but may also have a nosey in George or Ann summers (as Ann summers has a sale (colleague got £40 of bras the other day and they were between £3-4 each. And George's are meant to be good).

Am wearing maternity vest too today. Can't quite bring myself to wear the jeans though. Maybe next weekend....

WreckTangled · 29/05/2017 11:04

Just broke a dinner plate. So £19 wilko on some new ones. I wanted new ones anyway Grin

Panache do the best nursing bras FYI em if you decide to bf.

ememem84 · 29/05/2017 11:31

Ooh banks for the tip wreck

We're undecided on breastfeeding at present. On the one hand it's cheaper. On the other it'll all be done to me. And I'm aware that it may not be possible.

I've been reading about it and apparently it can take up to 6 weeks for your boobs to stop um...leaking once you stop. At the very earliest I'll be back at work within 4.5 months so maybe breastfeeding will be short term anyway. Do not want to be leakin everywhere while at work.

Just discovered catface has peed on a couch cushion a throw cushion so not too much of a hassle to clean. No idea how long it's been there though. It's dry but stained. So for the viewing we have today I've just turned it around. I imagine she's been a bit stressed with the viewings etc. And maybe her peeing is a sign of that. Also maybe her hiding under the bed is a sign of shame. I've told her it's ok. It can be cleaned. And she purred and meowed from under the bed.

That would explain why she's beeen a bit funny about sitting on dh's side of the couch...

We're out of washing power too. Sigh.

northender · 29/05/2017 11:34

creme that sounds horrible and painful, hope the poultice works.
girlie have a great week away, hope you get good weather.

The weather is good old bank holiday rain here. Went for a run in it this morning which felt good.
Dd has a friend staying & then she's going to my mum's for 2 nights while I'm at work.
Our main spends over the weekend have been on drinks out (not thinking about how much!) it's been worth it though, we've had a good time.
My weight has gone down only another kilo (3kg over the 9 weeks) but in the same 9weeks my body fat percentage has gone from 46% to 41 which I'm really happy with. Having to stop focussing so much on weight loss as I'm obviously building muscle mass. Quite hard to get my head around but the inch loss is clear to see.

Loveabaconsandwich · 29/05/2017 13:01

What scales/measurement are you using north ? Sounds like you are doing well!

Coppersulphate · 29/05/2017 14:13

Well done North. 3kg in 9 weeks is lots.
Creme, how's the foot today?

SnugglySnerd · 29/05/2017 14:39

Em once you wear maternity jeans you never want to take them off, they are so comfy! I'm still leaking a bit after 12 weeks of not breastfeeding.

Have had an action-packed bank holiday and not very spendy. Just a couple of coffees and a bag of chips.

I'm a bit envious of all the storms some of you have had. We have the rain today but no thunder & lightning.

Cagliostro · 29/05/2017 15:31

Am biased Em but breastfeeding is awesome. It can be tricky to get established at the start but once you've got it it's so much easier than bottles I found. No reason you can't do both either, you could introduce bottles after a while. DD was mix fed until 8 months. If you cut down gradually then leakage is unlikely to be an issue :) would recommend washable breastpads if you do decide to - much more comfy than disposables

£102 in Asda today although £20 was a new frying pan and £46 was clothes. Turns out they don't do maternity clothes in store anymore Hmm but I got leggings/loose comfy stuff in a couple of sizes up which should do for a while.

Cagliostro · 29/05/2017 15:34

D'oh I missed your post snuggly Blush 12 weeks still leaking wow! Hope that's not too annoying. Perhaps I was less leaky than average!

WreckTangled · 29/05/2017 15:48

I loved breastfeeding too. My advice would be to at least give it a try because it's easier to introduce a bottle after a week of bf than to try and establish bf after a week of bottle feeding.

Had a nice lunch at my aunts. My nan joined in bowling on the X box Grin

Mummysh0rtlegs · 29/05/2017 16:02

Breastfeeding is hard work, I didn't produce enough milk and both my babies got readmitted so we mix fed. I wouldn't make any decision until baby is here. I exclusively fed for a week each baby and then mix fed until intolerances were identified and it was easier to stop. Leaking occurred but I just used breast pads or shields. We had it that baby would stay downstairs with DH until midnight unless a feed was required, whereby baby would be brought to me, I'd feed and then they'd go downstairs for top ups and winding. I'd go to bed at 8 or 9pm so I'd get some sleep.

Just do what feels right when baby comes, it is so much easier to wing it all :)

Spends today £8 on nappies and 90p on milk.

AuditAngel · 29/05/2017 16:10

So DD1 went to her Godmother's after lunch yesterday for a 2 night sleepover. Normally both girls go, but the Godmother currently has both her adult sons at home, so only room for one.

As a result I promised DD2 a trip to the indoor soft play. £12.05 (it is staggeringly expensive I think £2.95 for an adult is shocking) £4 for a coffe and an apple juice. £1 for a bag of crisps and £1.85 for a slushy.

Returned 3 pairs of shorts that didn't fit DS, unfortunately it was more than 28 days so I wasn't supposed to get a refund, do the assistant did it as a return without a receipt onto a giftcard, then spent £12 of that on a pair of vests for DS and 2 pairs of shorts for DD1.

£60 on sandals and party shoes (these were in the sale and are 1/2 size too big for now) for DD2. Should just have bought the doodles sandals been done with it, but they look so hideous.

£1 parking.
