How close are you to having baby seacow? Here we're not allowed have nail polish for birth, it's so they can monitor your blood pressure or something like that, can't remember the details!

Worthing, wreck :) popped into the museum too and tried out the swimming pool (splash point) - Caglets must have gone down the flume fifty times between them :o

Cagliostro · 26/05/2017 09:05

Hope you feel better soon BTW UTIs are completely shit x

ChristmasSeacow · 26/05/2017 10:07

I am almost 36 weeks Mammy but not sure I'll get to the due date! I don't think there are rules about it here but if so DH can take it off... he's just not reliable at any kind of colouring in Grin

Cag that looks glorious. DS would love a trip to the beach but I just can't face the thought of being in direct sunlight. Soooo hot!

mammymammyIRL · 26/05/2017 10:29

My cashback from my runners came through €21.38 put straight against cc!

I currently have a turquise green colour on my toes. I don't tend to do my finger nails so much but tend to go light pink if I do. I'm rubbish at keeping my polish looking good.

DP was meant to be only popping into work for an hour. He's still not back he was never going to be just an hour . We're mean to be putting our new BBQ together before heading out to sports day. Doubt that will happen.

£52 in sainsburys . That shop is a menace! Included PJs and school dresses for DD

I've promised DD that we will do our Lego cards on Wednesday when DD2 is at nursery. DD2 keeps getting hold of them and scrunching them up. Will then see what is left and send to life and anyone else who wants them. DM says she has a huge pile to give me later (we have loads already)

Hope exam went ok meadow. You are free!!!!!!! Star

Loveabaconsandwich · 26/05/2017 10:36

For cashback app people, Shopmium put a free magnum offer in my account as a welcome back offer. Might be worth having a look.

SnugglySnerd · 26/05/2017 11:17

Oh Seacow you must be baking in this warm weather at 36 weeks. Take it easy.

Hope the last exam goes/went well, Meadow. Enjoy your weekend with no revision.

£2.99 in the charity shop. I knew I'd come back with something. Have found a frugal advantage of the double buggy us that it doesn't fit round many shops so I don't browse and end up buying stuff!

Cagliostro · 26/05/2017 13:08

Wow not long to go then! Although I know it feels it especially in this weather (DS was end of August).

Yay for last exam meadow!

ememem84 · 26/05/2017 13:38

meadow last exam!! Yay!!!! 😀💐💐 If I recall correctly you have guinnea piggies?? Baby boy is apparently the same size as a guinnea piggie!! (Hope he's not as furry...!) blue and silver nails sound awesome by the way. Mine are french polished except for ring fingers which are teal green sparkly.

Spends £8.50 on white roses for the house
£1.49 non alcoholic g&t for the fridge at work - were stopping for drinks at 4 today and I didn't want to miss out. Our fridge is full of prosecco and wine and beers. I know I can have 1 glass but I also know some people will judge. So no alcohol it is.

£7.50 on sandwiches for dh and me. Yay! Spicy chicken salad for me, falafel wrap for him. Mmmm.

Laska5772 · 26/05/2017 13:52

Up early and decided to swap my winter and summer clothes around so had bedroom explosion at 6am this morning! All sorted before i left for work and nice to have some 'new' things to wear! Not so good to realise some dont fitSad. And only 4 weeks to hol.. so have missed lunch today.
All is Ready for inlaws onslaught later.
However my own parents are having a 'domestic' mum is now threatening to move in with me!!ConfusedShock.. several phone calls already today .. Hmm. The trouble is that my parents are as bad as each other.. and have been married far too long mum 91 dad 89 .ill have to go over although i told them monday and i aint bringing either of them back with me!!

Laska5772 · 26/05/2017 13:53

Sigh.....

Laska5772 · 26/05/2017 13:56

My brother still lives with them.. ive had him on the phone also.. i really dont know what they think i can do.
Both in reasonable health. No dementia issues.. both utterly refuse to get counselling help.. double sigh....

Laska5772 · 26/05/2017 13:56

I need a drink....WineGin

Cagliostro · 26/05/2017 14:14

Oh gosh laska! Is this likely to be a storm in a teacup or does she really mean it?!

SunnyLikeThursday · 26/05/2017 14:28

Cag I might keep the details to myself a bit, but I was just pushing hard to get people to actually listen. I think they maybe got the message a bit.

Laska That's kind of amazing that your parents can have a bust up like that at that age. They must be very sprightly. I hope they manage to settled their differences.

Dh is going to look at a car tomorrow. If it is nice then I will definitely not be breaking even on this month's budget.

SnugglySnerd · 26/05/2017 15:11

This heat has made the babies very sleepy today so we're not going to get any sleep tonight are we?! On the plus side I have got a lot of tidying and laundry done.
My winter boots have been put away for the summer so it'll probably go back to being cold and wet next week.

MeadowHay · 26/05/2017 15:14

Wreck UTIs are horrid, I hope you feel better soon. Sad

Cag I'd love be on the beach!!

Laska That sounds awful, I hope you're ok and your parents & brother too. Brew

Thanks for the well wishes. My exam was ok - I got a happy shock because I had a huge French dictionary waiting there for me and I didn't know I got to use a dictionary of any sort. Then I got a bad shock because the case was a lot different from the ones we've translated in class and my mock Confused but luckily the dictionary helped me through it. Then I was happy and splurged £1.50 on cake from the library café to celebrate end of exams. Then my dad contacted me and said he was coming down (he works in a city nearby) which I thought I couldn't really be bothered but it's sweet. Tidied up flat thinking we were going to go out for lunch but turned out he is fasting...and he had just come really to tell me that (one of) my grandad died earlier this week after being ill for about a fortnight but nobody told me cos of my exams. He had been severely disabled for as long as I can remember, which included having limited ability to communicate, and lived in a different city, so obviously we weren't close and it's not really a shock as such. But idk still feels weird and I don't think I've processed it properly. And I was so looking forward to celebrating the end of my exams but now I feel like I can't because my grandad's just died. Plus I am going to have to make the long scary 3 change train journey to their city on my own because DH is at work and I will have to go the day before and things so I doubt he could get 2 days off work next week just because his wife's grandad has died. Grim.

Sorry for the rant. Sad

needastrongone · 26/05/2017 15:26

Oh, I am sorry about your grandad Meadow. Your allowed to have mixed emotions I think, especially since you were not close. Well done of getting through the exam, I'm looking forward to a weeks break, having BOTH DC going through them this time is interesting!

Laska I know you are having to get into the midst of it all, but it's brought a smile to my face that your parents care enough to have a domestic Grin

You never know Snuggly, babies don't follow any pattern that I know of!

Seacow I feel for you in the heat, DS was a September baby, going through July and August was tough and he was my first, so no toddler or older child to consider.

So, as I mention exams here. Both DC have now had good and bad ones. The both cope okay with exam stress, with the caveat of a wobble from DS last week, helped by a good exam or 2 this week. I can't imagine what it's like for those not coping so well or who find them very stressful.

The GCSE maths paper was ridiculously tough with the new syllabus, god I feel for them.

Spends-
£15 PT session.
£30 nails and brows (tint and shape).

Made brownies from a Mary Berry recipe that is incredibly delicious but evil, I've made them 3 times this week and they've all been eat, I am going to roll round my runs.

Dogs finding this weather tough.

I did a track session at 1pm yesterday afternoon and was nearly sick afterwards, heaving like a proper good 'un. Grin

needastrongone · 26/05/2017 15:28

Sorry for typos.

Rounders sounds fun Girlie and you sound like you are having a super time Cag (you could hardly have picked nicer weather eh?!

Laska5772 · 26/05/2017 15:42

The trouble is that Dad tried to over protect Mum and really over the years she has let him get away with it far to often . Hes killing her with kndness and now she is a bit frail she gets cross because she cant do so much. He tries to do everything and that makes her feel worse and then it all kicks off. He gets over anxious when she stands up to him.. then they start shouting and sulking and it can go on for days.. my brother doesnt really help as he sides with Dad and doesnt always see that mum needs space to do stuff and sometimes fail herself.. . Like i say they are all as bad as each other.
Anyway no one is moving in with me!!! They would hate it anyway... and id have to take up smoking or something !!
MEADOW great you finished exam.. so sorry that you feel you cant celebrate it because you deserve to. Sad about your grandad..

Cagliostro · 26/05/2017 16:50

We were very lucky with the weather need :) just as hot here today!

Meadow so sorry about your grandad :( Thanks

Found a potential new gym class for DD to switch to, trying next week. Could be better in many ways.

CremeEggThief · 26/05/2017 17:03

Sorry for your loss, Meadow. Take care.Flowers

Need, that's not good news about the tough GCSE Maths...
