No worries User, it does the basics, good for surfing etc. Value for what it is but I've never tried to stream anything etc so couldn't comment there, or even download!

Are you feeling okay today Fluffy?

northender · 07/05/2017 08:08

Thanks fluffy for the new thread. Hope you're feeling better.
wreck poor ds, hope he gets better quickly.
creme I usually go for cheese and coleslaw with a jacket spud, but might have to try cheese and pesto, sounds good.
Group training session yesterday was tough but good. (Pre paid)
My afternoon of peace and gardening didn't materialise as I got a text from ds at the cricket feeling a bit sorry for himself (he's had his first real lean spell of form & finding it tough). I went out to the game and ended up staying a while just for some moral support for him. Then I left and he did the best spell of bowling he's ever done so I feel like it was worth it. Hopefully he's turned a corner now. Dd earned her money scoring for the first team as usual.
Frugal wins by sending two parcels of books to Ziffit and Webuybookks. Also sent a returns parcel to H&M.
Today dd is going to a recent sports club at a local college with some friends. Ds is having a lazy day, hopefully including some revision. They have both had tough weeks in different ways but have also made us really proud so we are taking them out for tea & they've picked where they want to go (a local pizzeria). That should be our only spending today.

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/05/2017 08:16

Better actually, thank you. Ooh did you get the big 12" ones? Id love to buy Dh one of them one day. Just avoid compaq. Ours is shit.

Liquourice flavour medicine? It's like being back in the 1920's. I heard vet medicines aniseed flavour, most animals like aniseed. Do they actually want kids to refuse meds now?. We had strawberry or banana. The banana was bad enough, I had it 11 years ago & it was still gopping.

Wreck I think you should go for the Kuga, it's a nice car & will start every morning plus it's easy to get your kids booster seats in. My little Ka had a heated windscreen, so handy. £100 a month plus roughly £50 back for petrol is cheap.

Mammy Kittehs! Mum can be spayed when she's weaned them, she'll nurse them for about 6-7 weeks. We rehome from 8 weeks over here now, by 16 weeks they get told quite sharply to bugger off by mum.

Dh has emerged from bed. The hangover is hilarious. plus he stinks of beer

He's thrown up a few times apparently and got himself trapped in the bathroom at stupid o clock this morning (he called me for a rescue #nothappy). I'm tempted to make him go somewhere noisy. But he's in no state to drive and I can't be arsed to get out of my lovely bed.

I've pointed out that he was a right arsetwat last night and I hope he suffers today. When I get up I'm going to do loud things. Washing machine on full spin. Radio on full. Maybe make some sort of smashed chocolate biscuit (which involves smashing chocolate with a rolling pin on the wooden worktop...) might violin practice (haven't picked it up for about a year so am likely to be a bit screechy....) any other ideas??

lifelongfrugaleer · 07/05/2017 09:18

Ah kittens, cute.

Need, Grin maybe let dpony leg heal a bit before we feed him gin.

Hi user. Why the guilt? Because you don't have the money or because you are spending on yourself? That's not meant to be goady but to help understand and therefore help. Good luck with the business. What field is it? Don't answer of you don't want to.

Soft play today X2 for birthday party. £10 of my sainsbury budget was the present. Sainsbury are giving away collectors cards with every £10 spent. DS loves them

WreckTangled · 07/05/2017 09:18

Em your hair could do with a blow dry...

lifelongfrugaleer · 07/05/2017 09:19

Em, I'm sure you need to vaccum today.

ememem84 · 07/05/2017 09:34

wreck life both excellent points.

He has just come into spare room with this. Looking very sheepish.

Fluffys frugaleer thread. All welcome.
ememem84 · 07/05/2017 09:36

Damm posted too soon. The sandwich does not totally make up for his arsetwattery but it's a start.

I do actually have to wash my hair today. I'm reaching day six nonwashing and it feels all ick. So blow dry will be necessary. And hoovering needs to be done as haven't done it since last weekend (gross).

Must also remember to change bedding on our bed. Dh will have to get up.

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/05/2017 11:07

£4 on sachets of dermalogica multivitamin recovery mask. I asked Dh if I looked better today. Apparently still look like shit Grin. The mirror has confirmed this.

What a gorgeous day! It's been sunny all week but there's been a very cold breeze. Today the breeze is gone and it's really hot. DD has been making loud noises about a trip to the lake with her friends so I guess that's where we're heading. Spends will probably include an ice cream.

mammymammyIRL · 07/05/2017 14:07

Another kitty didn't make it despite our best efforts, apparently it's common with first litter.
Dd very upset & helped dh bury both kittens, other two are very strong.

6 bin bags decluttered - taking afternoon off may go to the woods, think we've got dgs too, they've accepted to pay rent too & are planning to pay it by lump sum twice a year.

Laska5772 · 07/05/2017 14:14

allthebest Adult scooters are great ! I asked for and got one for Christmas. use it for when DGS is here so I can go out with him, but also for popping down to shop and the beach and for scooting into work somedays .. (as they close the town centre car parks on tuesdays for the market)..

I dont care if i get laughed at , (and its usually only teenagers that give me the cats bum face) usually people tell me how cool it is.. Its also great fun and great for the legs and bum!
This is mine Purple scooter Grin ..

Cagliostro · 07/05/2017 15:30

Ugh, am full of sneeze, headachy and coughing up crap. Of course, because I'm going away with the Caglets tomorrow! Hmm

WreckTangled · 07/05/2017 15:52

Oh no Cag hope you feel better

Have had a busy day. The whole house is hoovered as is the car. Have done some ironing and am making a roast. Got Brussels sprouts for the dc yuck. Dh has mowed the lawn and has taken dd to practice riding her bike.

needastrongone · 07/05/2017 16:42

Oh Cag, I hope that you feel better soon.

I can imagine you on a scooter Laska. I'm really glad you are back btw, lovely to have your cheerful, positve posts. Smile

Oh, that's a shame Mammy, re the kittens.

Managed a NSD.

I've done a very ridiculously hilly trail race this morning that involved crossing a river using a rope at the end for good measure. My poor running buddy was having a shocker of a race but we had agreed to run together so I stayed with him and wittered on for the whole race to distract him. I've never done such a slow time, but that's fine, my turn for an awful race will happen at some point, it always does.

I'll post the elevation for Lonely.

Gammon, sweet potato wedges and veggies for tea, with a fried egg on top.

allthebestplease · 07/05/2017 16:47

laska that scooter is super cool I so want one, I will look on eBay for them as brand new they are expensive.

Only bought salt, sweets and cereal.

Laska5772 · 07/05/2017 16:49

Ah.... caught up with YNAB.. all paid up on my personal account, inc credit card for the dresses and the knock-on expenses from helping DS move.

savings transferred over , but It looks like ill have to have a pretty frugal month on personal spends from now on .. though i have saved enough in my personal spends account for a haircut, dentist and a meal out for a friends birthday

But i did get a letter yesterday from Nationwide with a £30 amazon voucher (for buying my house insurance from them) , and Im due another £25 amazon voucher recommending Ovo gas and elec to my DS .. so these should pay for my holiday books ..

I also due £130 election pay at the end of the month and we still havent taken the £2 pig money out (even though I have already spent my share and paid it off my card.) .

Our joint Househould account is looking ok, bills either paid for budgetted for - we'll eat!!

needastrongone · 07/05/2017 16:49

Ah Fluffy, have another steady day then. No, I went for the 9.6 option. The lads at work have the bigger version to take out to clients and show them manuals and videos etc. I'm more office based, so only need access to stock levels etc.

CremeEggThief · 07/05/2017 17:24

Good going, Need, Wreck and Laska. I love the purple scooter too, Laska. Hope your DS is settling well into his new place?

NSD.

LonelyOversharer · 07/05/2017 17:31

need thats crackers hilly! Well done for going slow to keep your pal going, that was really nice of you.

We have started laying the concrete plinth for the shed at the top of the garden. Its about half done but dp and I are burst! Lunch was a slow cooked shepherds pie, that I then boiled up with pearl barley and chopped potatoes. It was really tasty, saved me making mash, and was all eaten.

Might be a nsd, but I'm going to order some patchwork fabric to make a keepsake quilt as a gift for the christening. Can't think of a better idea, and can't compete with the £££ gifts from the very rich guests going we are very much the poor relations, literally

SnugglySnerd · 07/05/2017 18:11

It's been a beautiful day here. We haven't done a great deal but we did go out for a walk in the sun and got ice creams.

lifelongfrugaleer · 07/05/2017 18:47

A handmade quilt sounds lovely. I'd prefer that to all the silver and China stuff.

Well done on the run need.

Gws cag.

We drove 35 mins to one of the top 200 chip shops for tea £22 but it was lovely. Home made pie and proper beef dripping chips. Le yum. Then had a play in the play park. Perfect heelie path apparently.
