Evening.

Oh Copper, your DD and you must be so worried. Here's me stressing about a bloody pony and your poor DGS is going through all this. It's fab that you are supporting, but take care of yourself too. Flowers

Smile @ Fluffy.

You are such a softie with that kitty Em. The scan is next week right?

Holly Hey, we all have shite races. Then wonder and ponder what it actually was, training, fuelling, nutrition, illness etc. We never really know. I feel for you. I agree, the spirit in the running community is amazing and inspiring. There's a place for everyone, fast or slow, tiny or large.

Laska AngrySmile I've bloody ordered some Superga trainers after that bloody thread!!! I do actually need something like this but you are a bugger!!!!! Grin

In my experience high schools take no notice of SAT's results and test them anyway in the first term, taking targets from there. Try not to worry SAT folk, they're a pile of shite but high schools generally know this I find.

Meadow Hoping you feel a little less anxious soon. It's not a good feeling. Take what you need to feel better. x

That's lovely Cag re the book, and I hope you are feeling okay.

Really kind of your sister to help out Seacow. Hoping you have coped with another busy day.

Hoping I haven't missed anyone.

Spends.
£20 feed shop as I was passing and it's a distance away but V cheap.
££££ on trainers/shoes but won't count until I decide to keep them.

Water bill has gone up significantly so teenagers have been bollocked for having 800 showers a day and staying in there 20 minutes a time at least.

needastrongone · 08/05/2017 19:10

You okay Love? Sounds like a right old day that you have had.

CremeEggThief · 08/05/2017 19:16

Spends: £2 Greggs- latte and doughnut and £3.59 Co-op- bread, salad and chocolate.

WreckTangled · 08/05/2017 19:21

need I have silver supergra's. I love them. I could easily have hundreds of trainers if I could afford it! As it is I only have about seven pairs Grin

MeadowHay · 08/05/2017 19:23

Hope you're ok Bacon.

Cag Hope you feel better soon you poor thing. That's lovely about the book thing.

Spends despite being at home all day (eeeep internet shopping...):
£19 on two cardigans, sports leggings, and P&P from everything5pounds.com. I did need a cardie and sport leggings but I couldn't decide between two cardies and given they were both a fiver I just decided to get both Blush.

Feeling a little better now. Still anxious but at least managed to do some things. Second laundry load is on now and I did a bit of revision etc. have to really take the day as every 30 minutes at a time when I'm so on edge like this. DH will be home from work in about an hour though which will cheer me up.

ememem84 · 08/05/2017 19:25

need yep I am. But surprisingly so is dh. He refered to her as his schmoo yesterday.

Scan is Monday. Eeee!!! im excited!

It's amazing how she keeps on surprising us. I had to shove her off my lap earlier as the spaghetti was done. So needed to drain it. That's the second time she's been up for snuggles today.

Also spent £140 on three pairs of wedges. Two of which will go back. one pair will deff go back a tan pair, a taupe pair and a grey pair.

Need to smarten up my work wardrobe I've been wearing scuffed old tan knee high boots and ballet pumps for too long. Nothing wrong with either of these but need to summer smart up.

needastrongone · 08/05/2017 19:34

Oh wrecked, you are not helping the cause re 'just trying' the Superga's!! I've also ordered some metallic Converse in the Office sale for £40 one of which will definitely go back, but I'm liking em's honesty about exactly how many pairs will be kept or returned. Grin

Exciting times re the scan, any more movements? Do you still want to know if you are having a boy or girl?

Good news Meadow too that you feel a little better.

Hope the day has been okay Creme.

Loveabaconsandwich · 08/05/2017 19:35

I've come home and had a good rant to DP about my 'issue' today and glad to get it off my chest! I used to work with DP and I think we both miss our lunchtime/commute home to rant about crappy days Grin. DP had a rant about his day too so we're both now unburdened (I hope)

I've drunk two glasses of water and no WineHalo.

Currently sat in DD2s room trying to get her to sleep. She's in her bed and I'm on MN so hoping it works!

I may dig through the freezer for ice cream though.

I had a duck flatbread thing for lunch from Tesco. It was actually very nice. Wanted to share something positive after such s miserable post Smile

Laska5772 · 08/05/2017 20:06

Hahhahhahhahah Need dont blame me for your spending Grin !! Im not so sure about Supergas, so havent (yet) but if I was, what do we think of rose gold ones? Im a bit pale-legged (aka pale blue) for silver shoes. Or Rose gold net?
Im not saying Im going to, mind - just cos its MN trendy.. Im not like thatNeed (Laska ducks!! ). Besides , I saw these bronze sandals lunchtime and have ordered them in my size. Also theseas cheap(er) shoes for holiday (although I really wanted these Toms ones)

Laska5772 · 08/05/2017 20:09

The bronze ones look nicer IRL (more gold) btw and they are leather! Also barganious I think..

Laska5772 · 08/05/2017 20:10

Bum, the posts above should have been on S&Bthread, but then you frugallers give good advice also!!

lifelongfrugaleer · 08/05/2017 20:36

What's the difference between the two supaga one? My untrained eye can't tell. What's the craic with supaga?

I prefer the cream knitted ones but they are 4 times the price so off its just for holiday the blue ones. Keeper ones the cream.

LonelyOversharer · 08/05/2017 20:41

On the sats (dd2 enjoyed today Confused she got it done in time and checked it twice ) I thought they were for government targets/ofsted stuff. Our comp tests and streams the dc in year 7 once they've settled in, so I had no idea the sat results carried over. I am the most hands off parent known to man!! But very lucky as my dc are all bright, and just get on with school. Dd3 is another matter, as she will not, has not ever sat still, her mind runs too fast for her body and mouth most of the time - so I'm hoping the sats are gone in 2 years or I really will be stressed!

We have had an evening. Road race on sunday, so we went and checked the course. Its a long way away, and we got lost (twice) and dp and I had a stressy 'quiet' argument in the car! A burger king fixed this, but now I'm over my calories, so am off to run the dogs. Every calorie (610) of that whopper was delicious though.

lifelongfrugaleer · 08/05/2017 20:42

Oh btw you two. Do hush do discount codes. I like the green t shirt they have styled with the black rushed skirt but is it worth£27. Need/laska.

I do like the rose gold trainers btw, just couldn't see a difference

SnugglySnerd · 08/05/2017 20:43

Ooh trainers! I love trainers. Off to look at all those links now...

needastrongone · 08/05/2017 20:48

Grin @ Laska. You are right, Superga was not on my radar until today, but I WAS actually looking for smart/casual trainers for my holiday, I am such a sheep Grin

I actually think those blue pumps are a real bargain for the price, as are the bronze sandals you've ordered. Agree with Life, the cream are lovely, but not 4 times more lovely than the blue ones.

Laska5772 · 08/05/2017 20:50

One of the rose gold trainers is metallic mesh , do bare feet trainers I suppose

needastrongone · 08/05/2017 20:59

Life, they do yes. If you sign up for their email newsletter, they tend to send one out. Never much more than 10/15% sadly. Also, if I get one through I will message you with it and you use it with pleasure. I do think that the discount codes make their stuff the price it should be iyswim? Without, they are overpriced a touch.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 08/05/2017 21:39

Hi all, dd said the SATs paper today wasn't too bad she finished all the questions and it was easier than she expected. She was also pleased as the teachers were handing out jelly babies before the went in Grin It still gives me the rage that they are made to do them though.

Busy day, worked till gone 5pm, picked dd up and then had to get petrol and milk (£46) got in about 6pm, quick shower and then back out at 6.30pm as dd was having a maths session with my friends dd. Didn't get back home till 8pm and am now on the sofa not moving!!

Day off tomos thank God!

SunnyLikeThursday · 08/05/2017 21:45

That's great that the test wasn't too bad then. What a relief. That's an improvement from last year at least. Smile

ds has been telling me again today that school is too hard. I feel so fed up about it. They are pushing them too fast, so that they end up not really grasping what they are being taught. Frustratingly, there seems to be nothing we can do about it. Grrr.

Laska5772 · 08/05/2017 21:48

Life all Hush have at the moment is a free delivery code SUMMER17 .. they are not good on codes 10% is about the best there ever is.. I havent tried the green t shirt so cant advise

Ok.. so I have now definately decided agains supergas ( even though they are nice) , as I have found the Cream crochet Toms for £32.39 on ebay.. have ordered. (Hope they fit , but as its a shop I can send them back if not).

The blue are nice and cheap so if they fit will e bgood for the Greek beach hol and as I only ever take a couple of pairs of shoes will probably get so bashed they might not come back at all and I know the bronze sandals are lovely .. So even if I keep all three pairs then all its only £7.47 more than supergas (so a fairly spendy, frugal justification then Grin)

ememem84 · 08/05/2017 22:09

The blue shoes are cute and I love toms.

I'm not keen on the sandals though sorry. Not my style. Trainers however....

Just finished watching 13 reasons why on Netflix. It was good but man I hated the girl who killed herself (no spoilers it's part of the show). So Whiney.

My not spoiled cat stole dhs space on the couch earlier. He sat on the floor.

LonelyOversharer · 08/05/2017 22:10

Oh my god!! Totally not frugal, but, idly watching Mock the week, and the lady on it is wearing a broach, THAT I MADE!! They are to my own made up pattern, I hand dyed the yarn. So chuffed!

Fluffys frugaleer thread. All welcome.
