NSD. Waitrose deliver to my postcode now. I think if I do a two week order I can get it close enough to Aldi using the mywaitrose card offers. Dh hasn't had an order with them so I'll hopefully pick up some new customer offers/cashback.

Plus no two hour traipse to the shops & back. Bliss.

Still buying Aldi eggs though.

It was a fantastic race, no accidents, sunny weather and photo shows all the cake thats left!

It is a lot of work, but so few clubs host races in our nw region that dp feels we should. And I get roped in, because we started the club!

Spent £9 for smoothies from macdonalds en route home as I was falling asleep

Must work tonight, but I'm sooo tired. Might watch the grand prix instead, and catch up tomorrow, hate being behind though - sometimes its hard to motivate when you do piece work at home!

Fantastic baking lonely, bloody hell you have worked hard

No clue about dance costumes but amused that Life is being stalked!

Great news about the competition Em, something to look forward to. Jumping, relaxed hands, heels down, look up at your jump, ride off the leg etc.

Exciting about the marathon Holly, good for you.

I did a half today, which was hilly and tough in the heat. Went well until mile 11, I was on for about 1.37, which I would have been chuffed with at this stage but my hamstring went ping at that stage and I hadto walk to the end, something I have never done before, finishing in 1.44. Shit happens. I'll be fine

needastrongone · 14/05/2017 17:43

You okay with DD going tomorrow Girlie?

needastrongone · 14/05/2017 17:45

Meadow, Em is master of the understatement, horses are fucking expensive and a whole shed load of trouble.Grin

Cagliostro · 14/05/2017 17:48

Oh no need shame about the injury :( Brew

needastrongone · 14/05/2017 17:56

Thanks Cag, I'll be okay, things heal. It's really sore so I'm milking it at home!!

In other news (very exciting), I kept the Superga's, but am going to return everything else, even the sandals. The Superga's were just much more comfortable. I don't need the sandals.

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/05/2017 17:56

I hope they appreciate all the hard work you two put in lonely, it's not like you've got nothing else to do is it?.

How "pingy" are we talking Need? Few days rest pingy or tendon adrift from bone pingy?.

One of my colleagues tore her Achilles' tendon walking on the flat. Makes me wince to think of it.

need meadow true. Horses are bloody pricey. But. If you just ride at a school, then you pay for the fun parts. And none of the crap (sorry need 😉)

But yes - queen of understatement here.

needastrongone · 14/05/2017 18:06

No, few days rest pinky I'm hoping. I'm walking around, it's just very very sore and I really was in agony shuffling to the finish. I have the 3 peaks on Saturday........ I won't do this unless I'm 100%, having learnt from experience. Unless I drug up, that's an option.....

CremeEggThief · 14/05/2017 18:16

See how you go, Need.

Amazing work, Lonely. Leaving the house at 6 a.m. especially on a Sunday!Star

Another NSD. Been a busy weekend at home, even though I haven't left the house. Dusted the whole house, cleaned the microwave, fridge, sink, draining board, all mirrors and screens, and the bathroom, and vacuumed downstairs, washed, dried and put away 6 loads of laundry, as well as some work for school. Just catching the last of the sun in the front garden with a cup of tea and a biscuit, before cooking dinner.

needastrongone · 14/05/2017 18:37

That is a really busy day creme, it's hard working extra hours sometimes isn't it? Full time with DC I found tough, everything is a hundred miles an hour all the time just keeping up.

SunnyLikeThursday · 14/05/2017 18:49

That's great about the Waitrose delivery Fluffy. They're great for free-from stuff.

We had a quiet day today and ds had lots of friends round and out in the garden, so that was good. Our car pondering goes on, but with no conclusion really.

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/05/2017 18:52

Rest up need.
Wow creme very busy. Rest tonight though you don't want to over do it.
Totally understand that lonely.

Think in going to make a GP appointment as don't feel so well again. NHS website say if it's not getting better in a week go to a doctor and it's a week tomorrow and I feel no better

Loveabaconsandwich · 14/05/2017 19:19

£96 on stuff in ikea
£12 on lunch in ikea

It's amazing the stuff you end up buying in there. Who knew we needed Ice lolly molds?! Got some storage stuff so got what we need. DC were well behaved most of the time.

Sounds like it has been a productive day for most frugaleers. Take it easy life and need

I may have had a little snooze while watching the Grand Prix this afternoon. But DD2 got up at 4.10am. I'm thinking there must be a noisy animal or something at that time disturbing her as that seems to be a common time. Early bedtime for me tonight.

Coppersulphate · 14/05/2017 19:29

Lonely those cakes looked great. Worth getting out on my bike for! You really do work very hard for the club. I hope all the riders appreciate all the work you put in for them.
Need, the three peaks will be hard enough without a pingy hamstring. Good luck. I'm sure you will only do it if you feel recovered though. You come across as really sensible.
Wow Holly, well done on the marathon. Is it in this country?
NSD here. Was so busy yesterday that I just stayed at home today and repotted my strawberries. I too have the plant addiction at the moment.
Meadow, your parents are so generous aren't they? I have been to Budapest and it is a beautiful capital city. I am sure you will enjoy it and it is something to look forward too after all the exam stress.

mammymammyIRL · 14/05/2017 19:33

Lifelong do look after yourself a week is a long time to be ill
Sunny car shopping is a tormenting task, great for your ds to have all those friends over
Creme you'll sleep well tonight, while the house gleams!
Need oh shucks what a nightmare especially when you've those lovely shoes to wear next weekend Wink
You were only 6 minutes slower walking Envy if I can do half in 2.30-2.45 I'll be well pleased.

Sounds like a nice day girlie not having to cook is a bonus, your place will be blooming fabulous in summer with all the plants.
Wreck that drink has put a thirst on me.
I've had a lovely weekend, started yesterday with a bit of a hangover from wine previous night. Went to a free bootcamp with au pair & dc, it was brilliant flipping tyres! Then off to town to do chores - fixed my glasses, stopped at boots for acid for verruca, penneys to change stuff for dc I bought a 7 pack of black sports socks(time saving as no need to spend time matching them) lunches at home went to a communion party & ate cake then dh took us out for chinese in new restaurant in our village.
Today ds didn't come in until 8.45 which was brilliant & we all stayed in bed until 10.15 until hunger got us up. Then we caught up on chores & headed off to buy 8 hens, home for lunch & then I went running, came home & cooked steak dinner while dh dozed on couch & now myself & ds are gone to do the shopping but he fell asleep in car on way in, I've got to wake him now Sad
Will catch up with rest of posts when I'm finished shopping

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/05/2017 19:48

Thanks, in not one for going to the doctor's at a sniffle as I believe in letting your body try and fight stuff if possible but I'm fed up now. Salt gargling is not cutting it. The roof of my mouth feels tender now too.
Anyway moan over. I will get a 5 minute appointment tomorrow and get sorted

WreckTangled · 14/05/2017 19:58

Life it definitely sounds like it's not clearing up on its own and you've tried everything you can.

You lot have all had such productive days.

I got sunburnt BlushBlush

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 14/05/2017 20:00

Thats a shame Need hope your leg is o.kay, do you know of a sports therapist/massage person that could help if not? I am feeling o.kay about dd going off tomos, we have packed her suitcase and am feeling fairly organised. Have told her to be sensible and come back to me in one piece Grin hopefully she will have a lovely time.

Have been sorting out the front garden which looks loads better now, got some nice plants out there and my hanging basket is looking good, have just thought I'm going to have to ask my neighbour to water them when we are away over half term other wise will come back to some very sad looking plants!

Cagliostro · 14/05/2017 20:02

Oooops wreck! Hope you have some aftersun!

Sorry you're still feeling crap life I always get a painful roof of mouth when I have bugs like that. Weird. Definitely time for doctors if it's not shifting on its own!

Love it is literally physically impossible to walk out of Ikea without at least one unplanned purchase. It's like the law.

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/05/2017 20:10

Oh that looks sore wreck. Drink plenty of water too

CremeEggThief · 14/05/2017 20:51

Ouch, Wreck. Aloe Vera gel is good for sunburn, if you have any in.

Sounds sensible, going to the gp tomorrow, Life. Hopefully you'll be on the mend soon.

I've been to Budapest, but it was in 2000, Meadow. I found it amazing, with all the beautiful old architecture side by side with Communit ugliness. Definitely visit a thermal pool; there are lots of them. I was shocked at how cheap it was, even compared to other Eastern European cities like Prague, but I'm sure prices have risen a lot since 2000!

Good luck to both you and your DD this week, Girlie. Is she going for a week? When DS went on his it was only 2 nights, so I wasn't too worried.

I did the housework over both days, so still trying to pace. Not sure it's "gleaming", Mammy, but it'll do! I'm on the sofa now for the night, with some pear cider. ITV is currently good on Sundays, with The Durrells and Grantchester.Smile

MeadowHay · 14/05/2017 21:34

Yes my parents are super generous. They are quite well-off like obviously they can afford it, but still very generous. My dad is a workaholic though :/

Em Need Oh I definitely wouldn't be actually buying a horse, I was thinking of just lessons at a riding school. I know horses are an epic commitment, I don't think I'm up for that (and tbh can't imagine ever being to shoulder it financially either but then I suppose it just depends what you want to spend your money on - I think I'd rather have holidays tehe).

My NSD turned into like £55 spend on groceries at Sainsbury's online which will come tomorrow night. Not too bad though.

Well done to all the runners & bakers Grin Cake

MeadowHay · 14/05/2017 21:35

Wreck If you have sudocrem, you can use that as aftersun, I find it to be great for that. It looks painful, ouch, I hope it feels better soon.

Life Yes, go and see your GP. Maybe you need antibiotics?

Sorry for double posting just I'm rubbish at remembering who said what Blush.
