Laska I agree that is well cheeky about sponsorship. My workplace is dead good about that kind of thing, people make announcements in the office and/or send e-mails around asking but they never come person-to-person to harass you. Plus my office is made up of a mixture of FT staff and PT student-staff like me, and there is an understanding amongst the FT staff that us lot don't have any money so we are not expected to contribute to anything like leaving presents, coffee fund etc (although I sometimes do anyway as I can afford a few quid here and there). Which is thoughtful of them. It's a great place to work tbh, I will really miss it when I have to leave in 6 weeks or so.

Need I have thought about mobile hairdresser but I don't know any here. I might post in a local Facebook group and ask around. I would still need DH to be at home with me for it though because I can't open the door to strangers even Blush. But that probably would still be less stressful overall, yes. Thanks for the idea.

Is anyone watching Trust me, I'm a Vet btw? I loved yesterday's episode, it was soo good, I hope lots of people watched it and learned how to look after their fish and rabbits properly in particular. They reckon 2/3rds of the UK's pet bunnies suffer from chronic stress Sad. It breaks my heart, I've seen so many bunnies in tiny cages on their own and things in people's houses. Hopefully lots of people watched it and will change their ways.

Cag Hope you feel better soon love and enjoy the last part of your holiday!

Whoever said about buying a treat when they don't want to go to work, I'm like that with uni haha, if I feel really rough and force myself in I buy myself a piece of cake when I'm there to cheer myself up Blush.

I've posted on home decorating for ideas on planning our future kitchen, I don't know how to link, but feel free to comment 👍🏡

Meadow have you got the kind of hair that your dh could cut? Maybe that is something that could be his special skill and he could learn his way into it? You could to the MN haircut even:

I used to cut dh's hair and I do ds's now. I suppose that cutting women's hair is just that but a bit more complicated. The trick with getting it right here is owning the right kind of really sharp scissors.

I have some that look like this:

I have been test driving this electric car this morning. It was fine mostly but kind of loud. I'm not sure if it's the wheels or the engine or what. We were really hoping we could get an electric car as we're in one of the city centres where they are thinking about introducing epic charges for cars that use petrol or diesel. Much head scratching going on here.

needastrongone · 11/05/2017 15:24

God, really need the keyboard for this IPad to turn up, brill as it actually is.

Strange re the sound of the electric car being loud sunny, we had a hybrid about 7 years ago and when it was running on the electric it was eerily silent, in fact one or two folk thought I'd left the handbrake off a time or twoSmile.

Spends were at Boots using points and double boost points too, circa £50, but 3 lots hair product, many tablets, various stuff really.

Going to make a quiche now, I've never ever made one before!

SnugglySnerd · 11/05/2017 15:43

Good luck, Need. Last time I made a quiche the filling all leaked out and cooked onto the bottom of the oven! I've never done well with pastry though.

I think it's a boy, Cag.

Another vote for Sainsbury's jeans here but I never put jeans in the dryer having ruined quite an expensive pair once.

Just went in the shop to buy one thing and there were lots of things reduced. I got a punnet of raspberries, another of nectarines and 2 chocolate eclairs for 4 quid. Result!

SunnyLikeThursday · 11/05/2017 16:24

Laska your sponsorship form problem reminds me of one I did as a teenager. I was so nervous about asking friends to sponsor me, but I plucked up the courage and did it. Unfortunately one of my friends put "2p" for a laugh at the top of the form and then everyone else did the same, so I raised 14p for my chosen charity. I felt a real charlie at the time, but I suppose it was a laugh and I enjoyed the walk well enough.

Fluffycloudland77 · 11/05/2017 16:42

Ooh yes sainsburys jeans/jeggings are my find of the year. I'm saving up nectar points because the Internet reckons a 25% off event is due at the end of May.

£6 cat food.

Fantastic! I'll do that too. My M&S jeans still reach my feet this morning. Woohoo!

needastrongone · 11/05/2017 16:55

I've bottled it for another day when I have more time Snuggly, I need some of those baking beans?

Made a fun marble cake instead and will have gammon with egg tonight, I have excess eggs. My girls are in full lay. Smile

Do you go back to work in September then?

Fluffycloudland77 · 11/05/2017 16:59

Love I didn't get any surveys last night! Not missed out on much by the sound of it.

I can't believe you are a quiche virgin Need. I really want quiche now.

Just £3 for parking today.

New cleaner spent 11hours (11!) doing the deep clean yesterday (there were two of them). So that worked out very expensive for me but I can see things have been cleaned that I've never even thought to clean - she even descaled the shower head!
I must be much more slovenly than I thought (it wasn't that bad really, honest).

needastrongone · 11/05/2017 17:10

I know Seacow, I'm really not sure why I haven't ever. I will definitely make one this weekend though as all the ingredients are in.

No, I think your cleaner will just be thorough, and it's done now, fully, before the baby comes and you don't need to worry about it.

needastrongone · 11/05/2017 17:14

Behold these things of beautySmile

Fluffys frugaleer thread. All welcome.
ChristmasSeacow · 11/05/2017 17:22

Lovely sandals.

Bottom shoe (goldier colour).

Loveabaconsandwich · 11/05/2017 17:39

meadow do you finish uni this year? Or are you finishing your job due to moving house?

Have bellyache. It was probably the subway I had for lunch

Will catch up later as using mobile data atm as no free wi fi on today's train Sad

SnugglySnerd · 11/05/2017 18:23

Need you can line the pastry with greaseproof paper and use rice instead of those bean things. Another culinary disaster of mine involved dropping a whole tub of those ceramic beans. They rolled in all directions. The ones we picked up had to be washed and we kept finding more for weeks!

Laska5772 · 11/05/2017 18:26

Top ones need Love the heels also!

Well dissapointingly the Toms (both pairs) are going back! Too big!!. and ill have to pay postage on one pair as well ..GRRR.. and I tried on Toms in our local shop as well, before I ordered !..

Have been to sainsburys but cant remember what I spent! ill have a lookand post later ..
later though, have to blitz the house now and get stuff ready for DGS visit this weekend

Fluffycloudland77 · 11/05/2017 18:26

I've used rice before.

The ones on the left look better quality, I prefer the ones on the right for fashion though.

ChristmasSeacow · 11/05/2017 18:27

Dried beans / chickpeas are also good for baking blind. Not as heavy as the ceramic ones but they do a decent job and can be stored to use again.

DS didn't eat much of his lasagne so I finished it. Rude not to.

CremeEggThief · 11/05/2017 18:42

Spends: £2.18.

LonelyOversharer · 11/05/2017 18:53

We love the expression "rude not to" seacow we use it all the time at the moment.

I use revolting brown lentils need for baking beans. I had them once and deemed them inedible, so use them for tasty food instead (probably didn't cook them right). A really good pastry with no holes or cracks is the key - I make mine in the food processor cheat We also have a lot of quiche, similar egg dilema. It does a good tea, them a slice for lunch for days.

Fell into hobbycraft tonight (ok, I had to drive 11 miles to it), for a zip and interfacing for my dress (all cut out), only bought a rotary cutter and blades extra Blush £17, then £20 in asda, the kids picked pizza and cheesecake for tea what meal plan

Told dd1 that she's having a bra fitting on saturday. She nearly had a stampy tantrum in asda...so thats going to be fun. I fear bribes will be involved.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 11/05/2017 19:00

Yy to Sainsburys jeggings, I have two pairs of them that I wear all of the time! I like their jumpers as well, I need to get some more t.shirts now summer is turning up all of the ones from last year look really worn.

Spends today £3.20 on some anti histamines for dd, she has been complaining of itchy eyes and I suspect hay fever.

Loveabaconsandwich · 11/05/2017 19:12

I like the silver on the right shoes. But they do look chunkier so it kind of depends on your style/look though

SunnyLikeThursday · 11/05/2017 19:12

I definitely need to start clothes shopping in Sainsbury's. I'm glad I asked! Smile

We have the most preposterous electric car parked outside our house. I wish you could see it.
