Finally got 5 mins to check in. Thank you all for your supportive and more importantly non-judgemental comments. I don't like to complain as I am lucky to have 3 beautiful children but it's hard work sometimes! Have actually had a really positive day, DD1 has been on good form. The nice weather helps, we've been in the garden lots.

Copper that made me laugh! You are quite right, school at this time of year is manic with GCSEs coming up!

Flowers for Need. Thinking of you and Dpony.

SunnyLikeThursday · 02/05/2017 17:09

We just went and walked a neighbour's dog. That's a new free hobby that we've never tried before. Ds is not at all sure about it all, but is up for trying it again.

CremeEggThief · 02/05/2017 17:35

£8.70 postage.

Sounds horrendous, Meadow. Definitely try to see the gp tomorrow.

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/05/2017 17:58

£1 hand gel
50p lettuce
25p peanuts

Homebargains are doing really cheap veg, 39p for iceberg lettuce!. Also smoked salmon for £1.99.

Stuffed up my coral betting account, went through topcashback so no free bets. So now I have to close the account & start over.

northender · 02/05/2017 18:07

Meadow I would say the same as creme, definitely get a GP appointment, that is extreme reflux Shock, poor you.
Glad you're having a better day snuggly
Feeling under the weather here today with a sore throat & a bit of a cold. Have been busy, mainly indoors, despite the lovely weather. Ordered a present for fil (£28) and got cards sorted. It's all going to be a day late but better late than never!
£10 on a treat of some lovely fresh fish for tea.
Packaged up books for Ziffit and Webuybooks, should get £15 (put all into both sites to get the best price for everything)
Took 3 bags of stuff to a charity shop.
Listed one thing so far on ebay (to end a week on Sunday)

Have also been sorting out bank accounts. We have a current account with Norwich & Peterborough BS which is ceasing trading in current accounts in August so we need to find a new bank (this is why we are also remortgaging). N&P weren't in the easy switch scheme so the usual switching offers aren't valid. However M&S have agreed to give their current switching offer to N&P customers Smile. We didn't have any direct debits coming out of this account so I have changed 2 dds today & so by the end of the month they will be active, I'll switch and we'll get £180 altogether: frugal win.

Now need to make tea, cod fillets with pesto breadcrumb topping, HM oven chips & peas.

Taytocrisps · 02/05/2017 18:12

Another lovely day here. Having turkey burgers, new potatoes and sweetcorn for dinner.

No scouts tonight so I've saved €3 Smile.

That sounds very nasty Meadow. Just to echo what everyone else said and try to get to a doctor a.s.a.p. I hope you're not in one of those places where you have to wait three weeks to see a doctor.

Wreck you will be wrecked by the time you get home!

Good luck with DPony need

ememem84 · 02/05/2017 18:19

Long day here too. Debated not going in. Have felt progressively worse throughout he day. Feel like my heads full of cold.

Have also had a bit of dizziness and lightheadedness today which dr google says is perfectly normal for this stage of pregnancy. WIll mention to midwife when I see her next week.

Hate feeling like this. Exhausted and bleurgh. And don't want to eat dinner. But know I have to eat. 😭😩

Gnocchi for dinner. Then an early bed with some Netflix.

Dh is working late. Have to pick him up later. He's also had this cold thing but can't quite grasp that all I can take is paracetamol. Keeps telling me to take nurofen or a decongestant. This sucks.

On the bright side. Nsd.

ememem84 · 02/05/2017 18:19

Self indulgent whinge over.

WreckTangled · 02/05/2017 18:33

Ah em moan away. Have a nice hot drink and some comfort food. There's not point going to work if you're not 100% you need time to recover and you can't do that without rest.

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/05/2017 18:36

Gws frugaleers

Loveabaconsandwich · 02/05/2017 18:45

Try hot Ribena and some paracetamol em. Almost like a black currant lemsip. Actually tastes nicer!

ememem84 · 02/05/2017 19:11

Oooh hot Ribena. On it.

Have just picked dh up and am curled up on the couch.

WreckTangled · 02/05/2017 19:45

I'm home! Just cooking Dh some dinner as he hasn't eaten because he was helping dd with her homework etc. Spent a fair bit today..

£17 train
£10 taxi
£2.20 bus

Will get all that back

£6 something on a shit lunch
£6 something on an OK noodle salad from m&s and a water

WreckTangled · 02/05/2017 19:45

Oh and £2 on a coffee oh and another 50p on a coffee Blush

mammymammyIRL · 02/05/2017 19:51

Em I second bacons suggestion of hot ribena or even simple lemon & honey as a hot drink helps too. Sinus rinse if you can bear it too. Hope your dh isn't out too late Brew

We had a day out at an open farm yesterday €30 entry €10 on giftshop & €32.10 on dinner & dessert for the four of us. Great day out was had by all.
€129.11 in Aldi on way home.
Cleaned fridge & oven yesterday, fridge was almost empty so it was really easy, expected shopping to be more because of this Hmm
I'm out now for an appointment- instead of getting something to eat I went for a run instead, got a personal best Smile

Sunny that's a great way of getting benefit of a dog without the commitment of one.

Snuggly glad To hear today went better for you & the little ones . Could you save for a group night away? Children under 12 normally free, makes it more affordable & sometimes they include dinner from a set menu. Change of scenery & no jobs except feeding, changing & sleeping. I found a couple of these great when expecting ds & dd was young.
Meadow you poor thing, could it be stress related because of exams?

Seacow I hope your return to work went ok, usually people are on the wind down at 32 weeks not getting started but it will be so worth it to have the maternity benefit

Need thinking of you all Flowers
North thanks for your best wishes with training I achieved a personal best this evening Grin

ememem84 · 02/05/2017 20:08

Hot Ribena is a gogo.

Dh also added lemon brown sugar and some ginger. All that's missing is a splash of whiskey.

Strangely hot Ribena makes me feel shivery. Always has.

Am curled up on the couch with catface and am watching "casting jonbenet" on Netflix. Interesting watch.

ememem84 · 02/05/2017 20:10

meadow i hope you're ok. Hot water bottle for you.

mammy I have a sinus rinse thing. May give it a whirl a snort/squish/squeeze later.

Coppersulphate · 02/05/2017 21:13

Just finished most of the marking. Curled up on sofa with hot ginger tea. And this thread. Going over to the extreme cheapskate one now. It's amazing.
Sunny, my friend takes dogs for walks. She volunteers at the local rescue centre and the really appreciate it.

Mummysh0rtlegs · 02/05/2017 21:45

Been away for the weekend with family, managed not to spend too much but did buy KFC for dinner tonight and order costumes for the kids to wear at the weekend to two birthday parties. I could just send them in normal clothes, but dressing up is their favourite thing and the costumes will get worn a lot.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 02/05/2017 22:21

Em being pregnant can do funny things to your blood pressure, I managed to keel over at a patients house when preggers Blush my BP had dropped a bit too low apparently!

Hope you are o.kay Need Flowers

Snuggly are there any twin or multiple birth groups around where you live? Might be nice to find some other parents finding their way with two babies.

Had a busy day at work, collected the money I spent on the leaving gift which is good and am hoping will do as cash for a while. Did a Lidls shop when dd was at football, spent £47 but got tons for that so feel like i did quite well.

Rang payroll as realised that i hadn't been paid my millage and it turns out one of the managers hadn't authorised it Angry so annoying, will get it next month but means this month will be really tight.

MeadowHay · 02/05/2017 23:13

mammy could be stress related if it's just an aggravation of my reflux. My dad reckons it might be a bacterial infection which I would need antibiotics for so has advised me to see GP tomorrow.

At my GP surgery they save 50% of appointments for same-day booking so need DH to call up when it opens at 8.30am to book me an appointment for tomorrow. It's a decent enough system given the pressures they are all under. It can be hard to get through at first etc but have never been unable to get an appointment on the day if I really needed one as long as contacted them in the morning.

My stomach was a lot better again this evening and then suddenly got worse again about half an hour ago so back to laying down Confused. It's really weird and annoying. I'm hoping it will be a lot better tomorrow as due to have a revision session with my mentor tomorrow and I really need to get on preparing my presentation for next week. It's the worst timing arghhh. Trying to stay calm and focus on each hour as it comes and being kind to myself though...

Em Hope you feel better soon, it must be so grim not being able to take the kinds of medications you would normally take with a bad cold.

North Hope you feel better soon too. A few of us have been under the weather today it seems!

WreckTangled · 03/05/2017 07:05

Morning!

Meadow hope the GP can help.

I'm overdrawn but can't get to the bank to pay in money that I have. So annoying. Will need to pay parking today.

ememem84 · 03/05/2017 07:30

Being sensible today and am staying in bed. I was going to try and go in but dh heard me blowing my nose and almost coughing myself inside out. And sent me back to bed.

Nurse Catface is "helping" by pouncing my feet under the duvet and purring.

SunnyLikeThursday · 03/05/2017 09:19

We're still bashing away at health things here, and it's going well. The frugaleering has helped so much by getting me to redirect money from pointlessly frittering retail therapy into spending money on actual health care.

Today is a rare quiet day, so I'm going to put my feet up before it all starts again with Beavers tonight. Zzzzz

Cagliostro · 03/05/2017 10:41

Just had my 12 week scan. They've moved my due date forward by a week (early November now). All good. Wriggly baby!
