But I want to know now! Cag Grin

NSD.

Coppersulphate · 10/04/2017 18:39

So, Seacow due end of June, Em due end of September, Cag. to be confirmed.
Wow, 3 new little frugaleers, YAY
Very, very spendy day today. So much so that I have had to sit down with feet up
Food shopping at £73.09... But bits for garden and got to feed hungry DGD all week.
£33 train ticket and parking ....to go and pick her up
£26 Tesco on little toys for Easter egg hunt. I get little tiny eggs and little toys. They are into trolls at the moment and troll stuff is a big ripoff.
But it's only now and then.
Hope dentist goes well Sunny. It will be well worth it to get it sorted.

ememem84 · 10/04/2017 18:43

Lemon pasta was le yum. Not as good a second I remember it (last time I ate it I was in sorrento in the sun with a glass of prosecco) but quick tasty and le yum. Rocket an dtomato salad to accompany. And enough left over for lunch boxes.

£18 getting my eyebrows threaded. oUCH!!! But they look better than they ever ha d done after waxing. So maybe I'll go back!

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/04/2017 18:48

Dh wouldn't know what to do if I served lemon pasta. It's very traditional here.

Loveabaconsandwich · 10/04/2017 18:53

NSD yesterday

Today £65ish in Tesco. We got sucked in by the 3 for 2 toys. Older DD paid for about 2/3s of her toy from her money box and spent all morning hugging the box of Lego until she could build it when little DD took a nap. Little DD is still hugging her talking Skye toy so we have happy children

Complained to Amazon about my broken chopping board which I bought in January. So they are sending me a new one. Mastering the art of complaining is a good skill Grin . I never used to but now I just think why not, you have nothing to lose

Emptied our room for decorating. The dyson was absolutely full of dust after moving the furniture Blush . I am now more determined than ever to declutter! The dust was grim

mammymammyIRL · 10/04/2017 19:53

Fluffy dh is the same but he's on nights & I'm no carbing for dinner so I tried lemon chicken with lots of garlic but gas ran out while I was cooking it & I'd to leave to go to village for gas. €29.50 came back & tried to finish it off but steam had condensed & made the oil all watery Sad got a present of shortbread so no carb gone out the window. I'm starving past few days Grin

Well done on complaining bacon

ememem84 · 10/04/2017 20:08

Our flat is on the market. Eeeeep

LonelyOversharer · 10/04/2017 20:31

cag holy cow! Were you overdue with ds? The largest I managed was 8lb 1oz, 12 days od. Smallest 6lb 5oz.

em how quick do you think it will sell? Quite exciting though.

Spendy as we went to costco after the dentist (me and dd1 need a filling Sad), About £60 house stuff, a year of toothpaste and razor blades, etc; and tea there. Just £21 for 6 of us, pizza, drink and 4 huge icecreams. Super value. Got some stuff for dp's shop workshop as it is a huge mess think the messiest garage x 6000 but I will have to sort it, as he was childishly resistant.

Spent the day hiding in the greenhouse potting on cucumbers and peppers. The homebase one does look v healthy. I have ordered a similar one from suttons for £1 more, so will keep a tally on how they do sad

lifelongfrugaleer · 10/04/2017 20:37

Eek and i though 9lb9 was big enough. Ouch.
Good luck selling em

Spendy day at wildlife park and booths for tea. £60 ish.

ememem84 · 10/04/2017 20:39

lonely agent says a couple of weeks until we get a sale.

Cagliostro · 10/04/2017 20:41

Exciting times Em!

Lonely yep he was 11 days late. He measured big at the first scan but was never thought of as an issue. Doctor reckons I may have developed gestational diabetes late on (I had the test at the usual time but was clear) - he had really low blood sugar for his first few days too. So given all that they'll keep an extra eye on me this time! You'd never know he was such a porker though, he's spot on average weight now and slightly taller.

Fluffy I promise you'll know as soon as I do :o the next 5 days better go quickly

northender · 10/04/2017 20:53

Haha fluffy my Dh would be the same if offered lemon pasta for tea, I think it sounds good. He wouldn't have liked the vegetarian cafe that dd & I had lunch in today either! It was £20 so not frugal but we both enjoyed what we had.
Hardest PT session yet this morning, my thighs will be burning tomorrow. It felt good though.
Good luck selling the apartment Em, I'm going through all our house documents at the moment as we need some of them for the remortgage. Hoping to have most things signed and sent of before we go away for the weekend on Thursday.

SunnyLikeThursday · 10/04/2017 21:18

Well done for complaining bacon.

I've been thinking about it recently and I think that the rise of the consumer society and our new willingness to complain may be partly behind all the referendum stuff that is going on. I reckon that the Scottish referendum and the EU referendum may just be a massive consumer complaint against inept government. Will we get our money back though, that's the question.

I had a useful chat with the GP today and am doing a lot of headscratching here.

needastrongone · 10/04/2017 21:48

I would like the vegetarian cafe though North for sure.

Thanks Em, for the recipe, it sounds lovely and I'm glad you enjoyed, it was always going to be difficult replicating a glass of chilled wine and a view of Sorrento Grin Exciting times re the flat.

If it helps Cag, DS was a sizable baby and they monitored me when I had DD, saying she was going to be bigger. She was 7lb 3oz.........They also said she would be a really speedy birth as DS had only been 7 hours as my first. She took 25 hours to emerge. Grin

Yes Creme, the competition was great and the pony was brilliant. Sadly he's been kicked in the field today and pretty badly injured. The vet bill after this will be interesting, although we are insured. I am worried to fuck about him actually, he can't even weight bare at the minute. Today hasn't been a great day. Trying to hold onto the fact he's his usual greedy, mardy self and still head butted me 4 times tonight, bit me and wiped his face all over my coat (these are his daily routine behaviours, I usually tell him to give up and call him a prick, another daily routine).

Ho hum, lets see what tomorrow brings.

needastrongone · 10/04/2017 21:50

Mammy I eat clean but i couldn't no carb, I seriously couldn't. Fair play to you.

NSD btw, ignoring ££££ for the vet at some point.

CremeEggThief · 10/04/2017 21:51

Oh Need, really sorry to hear that about Naughty Dear Pony. I hope the vet can help him tomorrow. Take care tonight.Brew

LonelyOversharer · 10/04/2017 21:55

need fingers crossed for dpony. Kicked by another horse? Hope everything turns out ok. No point telling you not to worry x

MeadowHay · 10/04/2017 21:55

Sunny I agree with you about the referendums.

Cag The idea of pushing out 8lbs of something out of myself makes me shudder Shock. But I'm sure he was worth it all!!

Em Good luck with the flat selling.

DH and I got offered a fridge-freezer from one of his relatives but we can't take it as they are in a different city and we don't have storage for it (our current one belongs to the LL). So frugal loss there.

Vet bill only came to £36 to lance DGuineagPig1's lump Shock. Apparently it took 7 mins then they watched him eat for 10 minutes to make sure he was ok. Apparently sometimes guinea pigs don't eat properly if they've got a shock etc and then they lose body heat quickly and deteriorate quickly. They didn't have to sedate him and then they offered him some bell pepper straight after the procedure and he scoffed it all down and has been his usual bolshy self despite having a little hole in his side where the lump was, bless him. My brave little boy! And also there was £18 of taxi fares for the journeys to/from vets. But DH paid for it all.

Sainsbury's shopping has just arrived but I paid for that a few days ago.

Have my telephone appointment with the welfare rights organisation tomorrow who are helping me with my PIP mandatory reconsideration but DH has gone and lost my copy of my initial claim form so that's made me even more anxious about it. Luckily they have one so it seems like instead of photocopying it and sending them a photocopy as I asked, he just sent off my copy Hmm. Blergh anxious times.

Lemon pasta sounds lovely.

Em whereabouts do you live again? I can't imagine spending £18 on eyebrow threading, I get my whole face done including eyebrows for £15 Shock (hairy middle-eastern genes Grin)!! Here and also in the city where I'm from you can get your eyebrows done from about £2.50 in the cheaper salons.

needastrongone · 10/04/2017 22:03

Thanks. Yeah, kicked by another pony, definitely by the wound. Its been stitched and looks muscular but he won't bare weight and ponies can't really move on 3 legs. We've been down 5 times today and 3 sets of my lovely horsey friends have gone down and fed him apples and given him cuddles, he's head butted them all Grin.

Getting him out of the field was interesting when it happened. Tons of sedation and even then he wouldn't walk, it took 4 of us to kind of shuffle him to his stable.

needastrongone · 10/04/2017 22:04

Good news about the GP Meadow, such a relief. Smile

MeadowHay · 10/04/2017 22:06

Need I cross-posted with yours before, poor pony!! I hope he's feeling better soon but it's comforting that his behaviour and eating habits are the same so he can't be in extreme pain or anything you would imagine. Poor little one.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 10/04/2017 22:23

Hi all, quick late catch.

Oh Need that doesn't sound good, poor pony and poor you. Hope the vet can help Flowers

Flipping heck Cag did you give birth naturally??! Dd was a teeny 6lb 4oz but she was 3 weeks early.

Glad your piggy is o.kay Meadow

I have felt tired and a bit weary today, coming down from a busy time at work I think. Have caught up with housework and had a friend come over this afternoon which was nice.

Neighbour knocked on my door this morning to tell me I had a completely flat tyre - ugh!! So have been trying to sort that out, not helped by the fact that the spare was also flat Hmm bit of a nightmare but hopefully should be able to get it sorted tomos.

Paid £50 towards dds school trip today.

mammymammyIRL · 10/04/2017 22:29

Need I'm only no carbing at dinner time Smile
Your relationship with your pony sounds a lot like mine with ds, he punched me, growled at me, told me he didn't like me, that he hated the paint in the sitting room, liked how it was before, cried over vests not having sleeves, shorts not having full legs(his nearly do cos his legs are so short Grin) growled some more said he hated his bed was going to wait up for daddy to come home (he's on nights) followed by I'm sorry Mammy I'm sorry I was bad & I was angry I just don't know why I do that, can I kiss your cheek/nose/eyes/head and neck, I love you mammy you can go now AngrySadHmm

North Epsom salts or bread soda bath all the way! I'm currently languishing in mine. I think I need to replace my runners, not frugal but a pair of runners is only one physio session so I think it's a worthwhile investment

Em good luck with apartment sale
Dss put in an offer today on a house, hope they get it, their own house will sell quickly it's in a city with a housing shortage in a good area

ChristmasSeacow · 10/04/2017 23:22

Sorry about DPony Need Sad. Also sorry to hear about your labours - my first was 6 hours so I was not thrilled to read your second was 3x as long as your first!

Lonely I can't believe how productive you are! Has this garden landscaping and planting been going on for a few years or have you just decided to blitz it this year? I am amazed how much you get done. I am lucky just to keep my hanging basket alive at the mo.

Not been out today but £70 on private SLT and a bit online - replacement cushion straps for baby's car seat and a wooden engine for DS's Thomas collection. They are ridiculously expensive but go with his brio track and are his favourite toy. I am buying up a few second hand on eBay (he won't notice and most are out of production anyway) and will make a package as a gift to him from baby DD when she arrives.

Have also put DS's name down for Beavers - he's too young now but I bet there is a silly waiting list - and also with a charity that offers music therapy. No idea if he would qualify but I am sure it would be brilliant for him. Fingers crossed.

SnugglySnerd · 11/04/2017 00:25

Finally caught up with the thread whilst trying to get DS to bring up some wind!
Cag your DS was as big as my twins together!
Sorry about dpony, Need, hope he recovers.
Have realised we need to buy quite a lot all of a sudden e.g. family birthday gifts. Want to check out TU 25% off. It's going to be a spendy week.
Also I have new in the pack maternity tights I was going to eBay but from reading this thread perhaps I should wear them first?? More seriously if any pregnant frugaleer wants them the pm me. They are Jojo ones, black opaque I think medium. Happy to post to one of you, they are still packaged.
