"others come across as less successful/ accomplished with really tricky MH problems"

Really hoping I've misread this because it's such a horrible statement. Sad

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/03/2017 19:46

I never put anything on here I don't mind everyone seeing. I am 90% sure I'm spyed on here by family anyway. 95% after alcohol.

Ordered steamer chair cushions off Amazon. Only waited 12 years to replace the ones dhs bonkers ex took.

Should get £2 cashback off Kidstart.

ememem84 · 23/03/2017 19:46

polka take care of you xx

joff hi!!! -waves- I bloody love Turkish delight. We went to turkey on hols a few years ago and bought loads to bring back home. Unfortunately some of it "went missing" on the way home I may have scoffed it

meadow such cute piggies. I was in charge last year of our works charity collection. We do a different charity every 2 months. One time we donated money to the local in Guernsey guinnea pig rescue place. We're still getting cards from the piggies. I got a calendar from them for Christmas. All posing. It's hilarious. I bloody love guinnea pigs.

snuggly I've said it before and I'll say it again. You are my hero. 😀

girlie definetly not ok. She's been told not to manhandle me (woman handle me?) again.

christmas I had a San peligrino yesterday. Thought it was lemon. Turned out to be grapefruit. Which surprised me. But was lovely. Love the orange one though. And the blood orange one. Mmmm

Because I haven't posted one for a while this is my fatty catface.

And my asos order arrived today. Maternity jeans are hilarious. But look super comfy. The skirts I ordered look so normal. Think I'll keep the jeans though. If you didn't know they were mat wear you wouldn't know. And so much choice. And so many cute things. Which has surprised me somewhat. I guess I thought I'd be relegated to frump mum clothes. Which, being shallow, would have devastated me. ShockWink

Aren't mh problems always tricky? Confused

SnugglySnerd · 23/03/2017 19:49

Thanks, Collie and Em - Catface is looking well!

PolkadotPony · 23/03/2017 19:50

Collie, sadly you haven't misread it.

I enjoy the diversity of our thread, and am only happy for others achievements, as they are of my own.

PolkadotPony · 23/03/2017 19:50

And Cornish bus fares are a bastard 😁

MeadowHay · 23/03/2017 19:51

Bernie The thing is, I think it's far more odd to lurk about reading about people's lives but not interact with them Confused. You would never do that irl whereas it's perfectly natural to chat about your life with people. And like Collie, I really hope you didn't mean what you said about having MH problems somehow making me "less accomplished" because frankly the fact that I am where I am despite my health struggles is a massive accomplishment and it's really offensive for you to suggest otherwise! And arrogant for anyone to think that they are so invincible that the same thing couldn't happen to them further down the line as literally anyone can suffer from mental health problems.

PolkadotPony · 23/03/2017 19:53

Collie was quoting a visitors post, a few posts down. She was offended by it, as am I, and you.

PolkadotPony · 23/03/2017 19:57

Oh sorry I misread ((embarrassing))

ememem84 · 23/03/2017 19:58

I'm pretty sure if you knew me in real life I could easily be outed. But I don't say anything here I wouldn't say in real life.

I like this thread. I find it useful to see things from others point of view.

It a friendly thread. Whether we'd all get on in real life though is another matter....!!

PolkadotPony · 23/03/2017 20:01

Shop well for less time!

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/03/2017 20:12

No TVs licence so I need a synopsis later please! Then I can be outraged too.

There's a customer service survey on McDonald's receipts at the top, if you fill it in (bear in mind they do free wifi) you get a Big Mac & fries for £1.99. They give you a code to write down on the receipt.

Dn & partner left one here last night so I filled it in.

CollieCaptain · 23/03/2017 20:18

Polka are you a Cornish maid like me? Yay! The buses are ridiculously expensive. But I'm trying to make a list of beaches I can get to on a bus route. Do you know of any?

Being self sufficient will make me happy. I hate feeling like a burden! Some of our buses have been replaced with new shiny ones so I want to try & use them. Grin would help of they weren't always late though!

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/03/2017 20:20

I think it's a fair point Bernie that this is a public forum and people do need to be careful not to over share even in safe spaces as people are reading. I don't agree with your view on the mh parts though.

Cateface is looking V plump there em. Much better than when you got her. I used to fucking hate bump patters.

All bus fares are crazy.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 23/03/2017 20:22

Went out to Sainsburys for dds red nose and ended up spending £10 Hmm in my defence that is pretty much my weekly shop!! Dd is at a rehearsal and in a show on Saturday so needed to get her loads of pack lunch bits.

Wish all the troll lurkers would do one Hmm weird that two of them would turn up at once....

I like this thread, it keeps me thinking about money which sadly I have to do but I also enjoy the chat, being a single parent the evenings can be quite lonely at times I reckon if I won the lottery I would still stay on this thread Grin

PolkadotPony · 23/03/2017 20:26

I am a maid 😁

CollieCaptain · 23/03/2017 20:33

Girlieeee frugaleer friend hugs Grin

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/03/2017 20:34

Fluffy, family of 5, mam gave up work for a year to look after youngest who has downs but didn't stop spending.
Min payment on multiple cards, unworn stuff, lots of brands (everything), buys toys and books allot for the dc

Joffmognum · 23/03/2017 20:35

Meadow I can understand bernie not posting - when I had my newborn and was feeling very lonely at 3am I used to read threads of other people's conversations, in the same way that single people might have the radio on for company. Pointing out that you're watching them is a bit creepy though

ememem84 · 23/03/2017 20:47

ive been thinking about something that was said about me a while back and my excessive lifestyle. Also about something fluffy possibly posted earlier about my promotion. They wouldn't have usually promoted me while pg would they?

I mentioned it to dm earlier. She said she was surprised too. Given they made the decision knowing I was pg.

Shows all my hard work paid off last year.

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/03/2017 20:51

Yep. They've obviously decided your worth it.

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/03/2017 20:52

They can't pass you over em off you are ready for promotion unless they have a dam good reason. They should not have even thought about pregnancy when making the decision as they could breach the equality act.

It's for your hard work.

ememem84 · 23/03/2017 20:55

I guess it was more I wasn't expecting it had no idea it was coming.

It came as a bit of a surprise. (But a good surprise).

WreckTangled · 23/03/2017 20:56

I think it shows how much they value you em. Plus it's brilliant to work for a company that.....argh I've tried writing this sentence three times and can't get the right words. Basically they're treating you as an equal to male colleagues and not looking at your pregnancy as a negative which I know is how it should be but often it isn't.
