Must also:

Call insurers today to cancel travel insurance, book car in for a service this week, call tax office re my tax rate. I submitted my form in January and haven't had it back.

Cagliostro · 13/03/2017 07:40

Snuggly when I had DD, my mum brought round some brie and pate as soon as I got home :o :o enjoy!

Now I want some pate.

Off to a home ed event today, getting a train to a village we've not been to, should be fun. :)

Ipsomatic · 13/03/2017 07:44

When I did the WeBuyBooks thing it was quite strange what sold.

All my really good books (the best text books and things like that) they would only give me 10p for. But really obscure books, like a tourist guide to the flora and fauna of Tenerife, they would give me £2 for and a big breastfeeding handbook from the LLL they gave me £10.50 for.

In the end I concluded that it was the unique books they were looking for, as if they are trying to put together a complete set of all books ever written. So the common books, they are not interested in, but uncommon books, even if they are utter rubbish, they will pay a lot for.

That was how it was when I tried it any way. I got £100 for two piles of books, each a little more than a foot high.

I had to give a similar number of books to charity as they didn't want those.

PolkadotPony · 13/03/2017 08:27

£5 for breakfast club at school for both girls for the whole week spent today, that will be it.

I really enjoy books. I keep my favourites and over the years my family and friends have 'borrowed' many, never to return again.

Thanks for the support 😊

PolkadotPony · 13/03/2017 08:28

Oh my gosh, I used to adore 5ive. I fancied Abs.

ChristmasSeacow · 13/03/2017 09:05

Thanks for that ipso I might try a few more unusual ones. I just think the 10p ones aren't really worth the cost of packaging if they are heavy hardbacks- will drop those to Oxfam.

5ive passed me by...! Yy to a bit on Bonnie Tyler though. Also partial to a bit of disco.

WreckTangled · 13/03/2017 10:06

Why can't people pay for their eBay stuff straight away?! I just want to get on and post it all and I want to do it all together not have to go to the post office more than once...

wreck it's frustrating isn't it.

I'm going out for a pub lunch today. Ddad just called and invited me for a walk in the sun and some sort of sandwich with chips and a pint (of blackcurrent and lemonade loads of ice). Yay.

But first must get washing and hoovering done.

One load has been done and popped on airers and another in machine. I'm whittling down my stash of jumpers now. And jeans. 21 pairs. Do I really need 21 pairs?

MeadowHay · 13/03/2017 10:32

Em I have two pairs of jeans Grin. Blue skinnies and black skinnies! And then jumpers-wise I have...1 jumper, 3 hoodies, 3 cardigans (although one is a tiny thing for posh events). Think that is it.

Was too anxious this morning to drag myself out of bed on time for my two lectures...have horrid anxiety in the pit of my tummy. I think it's because I know I'm going to the dentist later and DH is at work so I have to go alone and it's a new dentist so I don't know my dentist Confused. Sad I hope they are nice and I hope my teeth are ok Confused.

Needastrongone · 13/03/2017 10:54

Yes you need 21 pairs Em Grin

ememem84 · 13/03/2017 10:56

meadow I've ditched 7 pairs or jeans and 4 jumpers.

I will at some point need to buy maternity jeans I suppose but am buying one Blue and one black.

i hate that stomach anxiety. I used to get it loads. Mostly when I had to go somewhere on my own. Now it just appears when I have to fly. But it is horrible so I sympathise with you.

I'm sure the dentist will be ok. (Let us know what he/she looks like. Mines a hottie!! So I'm quite happy to go! Haha!)

ememem84 · 13/03/2017 10:59

need I now have 14 pairs. Two black. 4 blue. One purple. One red. One bottle green. One navy. One coral. One hot pink. One khaki. One teal.

Unnecessary probably. But wardrobe looks much neater.

I ditched a pair of cropped jeans. These were always difficult to get on. And if I'm going to be bigger in the summer I won't wear them. So they've gone.

Ipsomatic · 13/03/2017 11:03

Wreck I realised recently the a buyer had paid immediately, but ebay didn't email me. Eventually the buyer emailed me and said he'd paid, and when I checked my paypal account, it turned out he was right and it said "ready to send". Perhaps it's worth checking if that has happened. Sometimes people just don't pay though, and I also find that really annoying as I also want to get the job done.

Meadow I get that wiggly feeling in stomach too, but I find at the moment that it goes away the next day if I manage to spend a full hour in the sunshine outside between 11am and about 1pm. If I do it later or earlier the sun is not strong enough and it doesn't work. Is that something that might be worth a try for you? I know what you mean about how difficult it is to get on with things when feeling like that. I find it really disconcerting too.

Good luck with the dentist. I hope he turns out to be a fantastic one.

I had a bit of a frugal win this morning. I put my mobile phone in the washing machine by mistake, but since it's only a £9.97 Samsung handset, I just got one of my 8 spares out of a drawer and it only took 3 minutes to get it all set up. Yay!

Just been for a nice walk into town in the sunshine.

IdStillRatherBeKnitting · 13/03/2017 13:17

I have been to costco...

We went swimming yesterday, and I spent £25 in tesco on lunch/stuff for fry up tea (forgot to put the pork on, its on now for tonight). And I build my second tier wall.

£146 on the cladding for the bathroom, will post a before/after pic, bare brick walls atm.

This morning, well. I got a full excited rush going into costco (why does it smell so warehousy good in there). Have loads of bulk stuff, and stuff for our race events, but no extras. £181 (home stuff) £120 (shop stuff) though. Phew. But so good.

Have a happy day everyone Flowers

northender · 13/03/2017 13:56

Hope you're feeling better today polka. Don't under estimate how well you're doing, you've made some really big changes, it's bound to be unsettling even though they are positive changes.

Had a personal trainer session this morning which was hard going but I know will be worth it. Have done ironing and vacuuming but have still got more tidying & cleaning to do. Going swimming with dd at 4 then she has hairdressers appt at 6.30. Need to meal plan now for the rest of the week & then crack on with some batch cooking I think

WreckTangled · 13/03/2017 14:02

I could be bothered to drive all the way to lidl when tesco is only 7 miles away but it cost me £90 Angry

WreckTangled · 13/03/2017 14:40

It's really warm here I've had to take my jumper off!

ememem84 · 13/03/2017 14:41

Lunch was amaze. Steak sandwich and chippies. And blackcurrent and lemonade. Absolutely stuffed now. Luckily we went for a bit of a walk after.

Gorgeous day here. Suns out. No coats.

Been to b&q bought a plastic storage box for the catfood. In case of future spills. £5

PolkadotPony · 13/03/2017 14:44

I text him at lunch time to ask if he's received my email. He said he'd just looked and received, and will read and reply. So I can only wait for that. I'm pretty sure this must be it, which will be terrible. My tummy feels awful, I have diazepam here if I need it later.

Spent £13 on tobacco which was pre approved by Mum.

PolkadotPony · 13/03/2017 14:45

I don't know how many pairs of jeans I have... I'd hate to guess. 😑

Ipsomatic · 13/03/2017 14:48

Is anybody else totally agog at the thought a second Scottish referendum at the same time as the UK exits the EU, and a new kind of border comes between the north and the Republic of Ireland?

It's like actually planning for the whole country to have an argument all at once, and giving us two years to get ready for it.

I hear Canada is nice...

Fluffycloudland77 · 13/03/2017 15:00

Canada's amazing, one of our relatives has a second home out there. Lots of skiing & polite people.

£4.55 posting parcel, Dh will repay me though.
£3 Tesco.

I bet Jersey is lovely today Envy. I'd love to be close to the sea.

ememem84 · 13/03/2017 15:02

Yep. Its gorgeous here. 18 degrees.

ememem84 · 13/03/2017 15:04
