Gosh Wreck, 4 is very young to ride a bike. They don't usually have the balance for it. Of course it's all down to you.
NSD, been to meeting now going to continue cleaning up after the builders. They think they have cleaned and cleared. But they are so wrong.

SnugglySnerd · 13/03/2017 16:19

It's a beautiful day here too and all the spring flowers have bloomed. We've been for a little walk with the babies although the didn't get very far. I enjoyed the fresh air for 10 mins though.
Really annoyed we got the washing on early then forgot about it, bet it would have dried on the line.

WreckTangled · 13/03/2017 16:19

Trying he had a balance bike that he whizzed around on until recently. He still needs to learn to go uphill Grin

Beautiful day here as well, managed to get my sheets out on the line and dried, looks like it might rain now Hmm

Well done Wrecks ds, my 7yo nephew still can't ride a bike!

I'm hungry anyone fancy popping over to cook our tea? Wink

Fluffycloudland77 · 13/03/2017 16:32

£130 spray tan extractor fan, free ltr of LA Tan & two further free samples.

Saved £110 on what another company wanted.

I hope I get a business out of all this because it is costing a fortune. At least I'm not buying grey market equipment.

PolkadotPony · 13/03/2017 16:41

We are having quorn fillets and korma sauce, and rice for dinner.

Ipsomatic · 13/03/2017 16:58

I got a little something published today. I was chuffed.

Fluffycloudland77 · 13/03/2017 17:09

Congratulations Ipsos. Well done.

Ipsomatic · 13/03/2017 17:49

Thanks Fluffy. Smile My newspaper didn't come today, and they didn't have one in the corner shop, but I asked their twitter person and they're going to post me one. Yay!

MeadowHay · 13/03/2017 17:53

Ipsos I will try your sunshine trick. I find it really hard to get out of the house before about 12pm normally though, I always feel worst in the mornings, I don't know why but apparently it's common with people who have depression to feel worst in the morning and then pick up as the day goes on.

Mentoring session with my PG mentor was really useful, we spoke a lot about coping with anxiety for my upcoming exams and revision plans and that. She has also said she will come to my presentation as a support worker if my study adviser says it's ok (assuming so she can get paid too lol) as DH usually comes but he's at work the two days that the presentations are scheduled for.

Dentist seemed really nice, I was in and out of his chair in two seconds. My teeth were all fine, but have the very earliest stage of gum disease around my bottom middle teeth (which is why I booked dentist appt as keeps bleeding when I'm brushing) and slightly worse but still early stage gum disease in top right hand side and I hadn't even noticed that was bleeding Shock. He said I just need a good deep clean from the hygienist, and someone hadn't turned up so I went straight to her who gave me a scale and polish and showed me how to brush the gums better. And I need a check-up in 6 months time. I still don't get how all my teeth can be fine but my gums not though, I asked the hygienist but still confused Confused. Anyway luckily all free as have a HC2 certificate due to low income.

Then got bus to town for volunteer meeting to organise a structure for the kids activities' on Saturdays where I volunteer with the refugees. And then bus back home and here I am.

Spends today:
Just £1.10 on a bottle of fizzy water from Library Café on campus as DH had fastened the top of the water bottle too tight so I couldn't take it off to refill and take it with me -.-

MeadowHay · 13/03/2017 17:54

Oh and congrats Ipso on publishing Shock and well done to Wreck's DS on riding a bike. I'm sure he's better than me already hehe.

Ipsomatic · 13/03/2017 18:08

Thanks Meadow. Smile That's brilliant that you managed the dentist and that they were so helpful. Having your support worker along to your talk sounds great too. Fantastic!

Did the dentist recommend an electric toothbrush? Mine did a few years ago and my teeth and gums have been much better since then.

It's interesting listening to you talk in so much detail about anxiety. I have trouble with it too, and actually at the moment I feel distinctly steamed up in the head at the thought of more referendum stuff. I need to get considerably more Zen if I'm going to manage all the political fun in the next two years.

Technically I'm a SAHM, but I'm fascinated by politics and I manage to get a political commentary article published about every other month in the national press. I get ever so steamed up about it though, which does not do me any good at all.

Hey ho.

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/03/2017 18:10

£6 in sainsbury on forgotten bits.
£20.80 on posting parcels as woefully under priced postage on something. Still £9 profit until free come off. #notworthit

IdStillRatherBeKnitting · 13/03/2017 18:56

Went to Travis Perkins with a brick. The guy at the counter was Confused. But I matched it almost exactly (last of the 8yr old pack), and have 406 new bricks coming, and 2 bags of mastercrete £224, which is about a hundred quid less than I was expecting. Back from the school run I spent 2 hours in the garden digging out the last bit of the patio on the left. Need to lay the block pavers there and start on the steps next.

So I have spent more money today than I have since Christmas shopping, but I had this bit stashed for this purpose, so not dipped into housekeeping money at all.

Stunning day here for once, so warm, I even took my concrety fleece off for a bit. Wish it was still light so I could carry on with the garden. Slow cooked pulled pork was so amazing (sweet/sour type sauce) with baked spuds, went down v well.

SnugglySnerd · 13/03/2017 18:57

Well done, Ipso and Wreck's DS!

IdStillRatherBeKnitting · 13/03/2017 18:58

ipso fab news getting published. Am being very Doris Day about brexit, what will be will be...

wreck fab for your ds! Mine is 4.5 and point blank refuses so sit on his bike. He senses his dads desperation I think! Considering we own a bike shop, have a team and club, it's letting the side down a bit!!

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/03/2017 19:36

Well done wreck DC and ipsos.

Was lovely here today but the wind was a bit cold. First load of washing dried out side

Ipsomatic · 13/03/2017 19:40

Knitting that's fantastic that you own a bike shop and that your ds won't ride a bike. I like a boy who knows his own mind. That will carry him well through life I'm quite sure.

My brain hurts from thinking about politics. I kind of hope that Theresa May just throws in the towel and calls a general election. It's all getting too silly.

Tryingtosaveup · 13/03/2017 20:12

Ipso, that's great getting a political commentary article published. You must be really knowledgeable and a good writer.
Meadow, glad it went well at the dentist. Hope it has given you the confidence to do other stuff by yourself.
Knitting I would love to have seen the blokes face when you went in with the brick. I find these places are dismissive of women generally. I bet they were surprised.
Wreck, those balance bikes are good aren't they. I bought one for my DGS last year but he won't go on it. Prefers a "proper" bike with stabilisers.

Beeneatingburnttoast · 13/03/2017 20:31

Feeling pretty rubbish. Didn't get an interview for the job I applied for Sad Fourth job I've applied for in the last 5 months and no interview. The three hour commute to work will continue for the foreseeable future. So feeling really down

£2.80 subway and £5 in Poundland on chocolate and sweets and moisturiser.

Well done ipso and meadow on the dentist. And knitting with the matching brick!

Am currently sat munching through the sweets

Beeneatingburnttoast · 13/03/2017 20:33

*commute to and from

3 hours each way would be ridiculous!

Wildernesstips · 13/03/2017 20:50

£23 in Waitrose on top up food.

Well done Ipsos on being published

Must try Webuybooks.

CremeEggThief · 13/03/2017 20:52

Spends: £9.70 travel; £ 8.something Costa; £22.45 Wilkos.

I'll read through tomorrow.

ememem84 · 13/03/2017 20:54

Congrats ipsos

Well done meadow

knitting good work re bricks!

I've had a quiet afternoon. Had a nap and then a bowl of pasta pesto for dinner.

I've definetly managed to drink all my water today.

Early night and big sleep I think tonight.

Fluffycloudland77 · 13/03/2017 21:03
