Thanks for the welcomes 😊 so far I have had a spend free day, except just about to leave friends and realise I don't have any tea bags at home, well just one but suspect dh will have had that by the time I get home! Wondering if I can wait until tomorrow as need to get others bits then x

CremeEggThief · 21/02/2017 22:30

Yes, of course you can wait, Char. Don't break your NSD for just one item.Smile

babyinarms · 21/02/2017 23:13

Spent €11 in lid today. Have €4 to last til payday. ...Thursday. ... need to give ds €3 for school tomorrow 😕

CremeEggThief · 21/02/2017 23:19

You can do it, Baby. Relish the challenge! If desperate, "forget" to send the €3 in tomorrow and wait til payday on Thursday.

ChristmasSeacow · 21/02/2017 23:21

But tea, Creme? When you need a brew, you need a brew. (I'd get the tea!)

CremeEggThief · 21/02/2017 23:26

But you don't need tea after 9 p.m., do you? You can wait until the next morning, especially if it means an NSD. Disclaimer: may have spent too long reading the bath shit rules thread in Chat and nodding along with several of them.

ChristmasSeacow · 21/02/2017 23:51

Ooh, that sounds like my kind of thread!

It's first thing tomorrow when the new tea bags come into their own. Not quite the same if you have to put a bra on before your first brew. (Maybe that's just me?)

About £25 on a coffee then dinner in carluccios. I had carbonara, which I've never had there before, and it was nasty - all separated and greasy. Perhaps I should have complained but my round would have been mortified. Anyway, I enjoyed the chat.

ChristmasSeacow · 21/02/2017 23:52

^friend

CremeEggThief · 22/02/2017 00:11

It'll make for a good bedtime readSmile, Seacow.

Sorry your meal was crap. I know you still enjoyed catching up with your friend, but you paid for good food and you were let down.

Cagliostro · 22/02/2017 00:36

Bath shit rules thread? Do I want to know? Confused

Nutcracker tomorrow. Insanely excited! Got friends round first for tuition, then geography club, then heading to mum's. Busy day. Then another busy one on Thursday as we are meeting friends in Croydon (near my mum's so we would be going home that way anyway) to ride the trams just for the hell of it. Two awesome autistic friends of ours who love transport (and one has never been on the tram) so we're making an afternoon of it and fitting in a trip to Ikea. Yay, meatballs!

I'm a bit nervous about this, but I know a few of you have said that you'd be happy to look at my blog sometime. I wasn't going to post it here but I'm really quite pleased I managed to write about the whole stick thing (compared to my usual posts which are just 'we did x and y this week' kind of boring stuff), and you've been so wonderfully supportive of my choice. So rather than me wittering on even further about it on the thread Blush the post is here if anyone wanted a look.

:o Blush

Cagliostro · 22/02/2017 00:40

Ah! Looking at Active Convos I'm assuming that bath shit rules was in fact a typo :o

SnugglySnerd · 22/02/2017 06:23

I'm enjoying the bat shit rules too and I'm surprised how many I have!!

ememem84 · 22/02/2017 07:06

Me too!!

I mis calculated credit card repayment. Checked this morning and had a balance of £10 to be paid off. So have done that today.

Finally. Credit card debt free. I plan on limiting its use and then paying it off in full every month.

Aside from that £10 it should be nsd.

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/02/2017 07:14

I liked the batshit rules thread.

Cag that post is great. Totally get your whole thougts there. Well done for doing the first stick outing. Flowers

Nsd planned today. Off work and have a list of jobs

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/02/2017 07:15

Well done em.

Beeneatingburnttoast · 22/02/2017 07:17

cag enjoying the blog. Only read a couple of posts so far Smile

em i put all things like petrol and food shopping on the credit card as I've got a reward one. I only try to put things that I can pay off on it, rather than using it as credit as such. The rewards from the credit card I use to buy replacement small appliances when they break and birthday presents.

Already a frugal fail. Bought a pastry and a hot chocolate for the train. Longer commute today as off to London. Lunch is provided though (so better be good as I get excited by a free lunch!). Will also need to buy a bottle of water for the return journey as I'm expecting the train to be busy and hot especially as it's half term for some and a rail strike day.

Annoyingly my DP bought me a collapsible water bottle for my handbag which I have put somewhere and not tried out yet

Beeneatingburnttoast · 22/02/2017 07:18

Off to find the bat shit thread....

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/02/2017 07:37

Frugaleers i have sinned. £25 for some boots from Clark's but I have them already and have worn them to death.

SnugglySnerd · 22/02/2017 07:53

Good work, Em, it's a great feeling to have a debt paid off.

Frugal win! I found a little bag of loose change I'd forgotten about. It probably has about £5-6 in it. I'm going to put it in the car to use for parking.

ememem84 · 22/02/2017 08:15

life so they're essential boots. So it doesn't count. And £25 is good for clarks boots!

I bought a pair there last year. Was convinced until these boots that they were only for old people. So either they're super trendy or I'm old. But they are cute and comfy. And I love them.

ememem84 · 22/02/2017 08:17

Other wins for me today. Had cereal and milk for the first time in ages. So far do not want to throw it back up Grin

Made a sandwich to go with my soup for lunch.

I'm going to try and last until Friday with just the money in my purse - essentially just a bunch of change. Shouldn't need anything.

Have hidden my credit card in the back of my purse.

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/02/2017 08:20

It's ok as a treat toast, it's doing it everyday that adds up.

life We all need new clothes etc. As long as it's a good price etc.

£22 cleanser off fabled, same day delivery via Ocado & 8% cashback.

WreckTangled · 22/02/2017 08:46

I just made baked oats for breakfast. Was quite nice dd didn't like it obvs.

We're meant to go to London today but can't now as Ds has doctors later. Typically his cough is improving but since he has had it on and off for months I'm keeping the appointment. Need to go to the post office.

Cagliostro · 22/02/2017 08:59

Aw thank you toast and life :) Blush

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/02/2017 09:28

oh i love clarks for shoes. i can guarantee that a 5.5 will fit. it was from the outlet and i had a 25% off voucher. price per wear i will be in credit. i will leave them in a box until these wear out.
