Ooh I might get some apricot jam! Always real butter!

Babies are lovely! Smile

Needastrongone · 15/10/2016 08:06

Lovely nails Em. I love the glitter one. Always go for dark colours too. The meal looks lovely too.

Just having a cuppa, then I'll take the hounds out, go for a run and clean out the lorry this afternoon. Pizza and telly with the DC tonight.
I have to pick up some sedation for the pony later at £35, but hoping that's it for spends for the day, other than the takeout, which is covered.

I am impressed with Ocado so far, but do tend to change supermarket after a while. I very much liked Morrisons for service and value too.

NeversellahouseCollie · 15/10/2016 08:16

We had croissants too as a treat for a poo week. Thoroughly enjoyed them!

We loved Ocado when we had it available. They would give me free fresh flowers, ice cream, wine and chocolate just for being a loyal customer. I was so sad when we moved to a non Ocado area. They were actually very reasonably priced! When we lived in London our Ocado driver came to us after he delivered to Number 10, Downing St. He was pretty hyper about that experience! Haha! He was so cute.

Today - we are doing nothing apart from flu vaccinations. We shall relax, cuddle, talk, laugh and relax some more. We're probably going for a few autumnal walks by the sea and in the forest. It should be a frugal day but will not begrudge any small spend.

Shesgotelectricboobs · 15/10/2016 08:21

Just woke up. Dh has the cold still so I'm in the spare room. Just gone to get a cup of tea and noticed catface has peed on the couch again. Always on the side dh sits on.

I've sprayed with the cat pee odour remover stuff. Tempted to chuck it in the wash with the detergent...

On the plus side my poor couch hasn't been this clean for ages.

Croissants??? J'adore croissants. Hot croissants with salty butter (is it la providence (its la "p" something) that do the lovely french butter in the tub?) and bon mamman apricot jam. Le yum.

ursula I say le yum outloud too! At dinner last night with my french friend she told me that they don't say yum in France. It's "miam" which phonetically sounds like a yummy noise...

£25 riding today. And may stop at pet shop and get some feliway spray for my poor couch.

mammymammyIRL · 15/10/2016 09:54

Aww thanks need will see how I get on with salon supplies.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 15/10/2016 09:58

Ursula me dd and eating croissants as well, I just remembered that I had picked some frozen all butter ones in Morrisons in the oven (they prob cost the same as the Lidls fresh ones though!) Delicious, bfing two babies gives you a free pass to eat whatever you want Grin

So off to riding in a min £15, may pop to town later and will probably have to buy chips at the carnival later!

SnugglySnerd · 15/10/2016 10:30

Mmmm croissants. Haven't had any for ages.
Also have camembert envy! Can't have it while pregnant but it just occurred to me I might be able to have it baked. Does anyone know if I can?
We're going to an autumn fayre today to support a friend's charity. I have managed to keep a £20 note untouched in my purse for nearly 4 weeks but I suspect I'll break it this afternoon! Hoping there might be some nice Xmas gifts to buy.
I've done something really organized today, put the winter duvet on the bed and took the summer one straight to the laundrette to be washed rather than getting to next summer and realising it hasn't been done which is what usually happens! Can't wait to go to bed under lovely thick snuggly duvet tonight!
I actually slept well last night for the first time in about a week, I feel so much better for it!
Have a lovely Saturday everyone!

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/10/2016 10:57

£2.34 in butchers, £60 later when I connect meat. £1.20 kids news paper, £20 vouchers for birthday,£48 sainsburys. Won 6000 nectar points though.

Aldi and Iceland after dancing.
Cba to go out tonight but sure I will be fine once I get there.

NeversellahouseCollie · 15/10/2016 11:44

6000 Nectar Points! Congrats Smile

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/10/2016 12:32

Oh well done, that's £30 isn't it? Star

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/10/2016 13:08

Certainly is fluffy

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/10/2016 13:11

The swipe and win at sainsburys with nectar is on until Sunday if you spend more than £10.

CremeEggThief · 15/10/2016 13:40

I've "won" 2000 points, but can only redeem it in store by the looks of things. Do you know if there's a minimum spend to get the points, Life? There's a small Sainsburys by the bus station in Durham I very occasionally use, but my nearest big Sainsburys is 2 buses away, and it's a fair walk from the store to the bus stop. Hence why I go for Sainsburys online.

AdoraBell · 15/10/2016 15:21

£2.20 - coffee
£5.45 - bakers
£14.80 - veg stall

Need to do a freezer inventory.

INeedSomeHelp · 15/10/2016 16:33

Feeling quite proud of myself today. I signed up for the Iceland bonus card and they sent me a voucher for £3 off a £30 shop. So I went today and got loads of main meals as well as some treats (croissants and pain au chocolate) and the bill came to £30.11! I wasn't adding it up so that really was a lucky coincidence. My freezer is full now so I'll only need some fresh stuff over the next few weeks. I've also noticed I'm throwing out a lot less now that I'm using the freezer more. I don't know why I was so snobby about Iceland before Blush.
I had also set some money aside for new cardigans for work - nothing fancy just plain navy and plain black cotton cardigans at £9.99 each from H&M. They didn't have my size in store so I went to order them online instead and they'd been reduced to £4.99. They were definitely still full price in store!

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/10/2016 16:41

Crème, I got customer services to add my points on so no you don't need to spend too add the points. I would ring customer service and explain as they can add points on, they might do it as they will be able to see your spending history.
I like Iceland i get quite a bit. I think they have upped their game recently.

SnugglySnerd · 15/10/2016 17:40

Had a lovely day today. Only spent about 8 quid at the fete on cakes, face painting and a lovely book for my dad for Xmas.
The MIL came round with one of DD's cousins and they had a lot of fun playing together.

SnugglySnerd · 15/10/2016 17:42

That should say "Then MIL", not The MIL, that sounded very rude!

WreckTangled · 15/10/2016 17:55

Hi everyone. I skim read this morning but can't reply remember now.

Collie I hope you find an even better house.

Spent lots last night but not the whole £100. No hang over as I stopped drinking early. Friend dragged me to a shitty pub (the Vestry 8 Shock) and I just wanted to go to bed! Was a good night though.

Dh has had the sick bug. I'm not going to get away with it am I? Dd had it the worst.

CremeEggThief · 15/10/2016 18:11

Thanks Life, I'll try that.Smile
Spends: £7.80 bus, £14.60 lunch for DS and I, £2.25 on a latte and £4 on a small bottle of perfume from Next. Oh and £9.98 on a purse and a key ring for my mum for her birthday. Total: £40.63. Not too bad for an afternoon at the Metrocentre!

Needastrongone · 15/10/2016 18:33

Creme, I got some body lotion from Next the other week. £5, just for every day use after showers etc. It's really lovely for the price. I love that your DS still is happy to do stuff with you.

Glad you had a good night Wrecked, touch wood no sickness for you.

Good bargain there on the cardigans INeed.

Wow at the Nectar points, brilliant stuff!

I have had a busy day. DH went off early this morning at 6am I think he was picked up. I've walked the dogs, did a 7.5 mile run and then spent 5 hours emptying out the horse box. I've transferred all the food in there into our house, so we've loads now, wiped everything out, washed all the crockery, cracking on with all the bedding and coats (on my 6th wash load).

Just sat down with a G&T and ordered pizza for tonight. Love sitting down when I've been busy and am knackered Grin

I'm up financially as there was £8 in the box and I didn't go to get the sedation. The pizza will be paid for from selling stuff on Facebook.

NeversellahouseCollie · 15/10/2016 18:43

Thanks wreck I'm sure we will :)

it was a NSD today! Second in a row.

We have been looking at houses again and have decided to go for a more modest house that will suit us. The house we wanted was quite big (but still smaller than our current house). We've now decided to compromise on space again and get our monthly outgoings down.
There's only 3 of us and we're happy in a tent. So a 2 bedroom house would be ideal! And cheaper. Grin must have a dining room or a kitchen diner though

Fingers crossed!!

CremeEggThief · 15/10/2016 18:58

Only if I'm paying, NeedGrin. I don't see much of him during the week at all, as he spends most of his time in his room when he's not at school. Now that I work one day a week, I have enough spare for us to go out and about on Saturdays, which is fab.

Sounds all lovely and cosy and hygge, Collie. I often wish I'd opted for a 2 bed with a dining room (and a courtyard instead of a garden) when I had the choice of which H.A. house I wanted. This house is too big really for just DS and I and I'll have to downsize when he goes in 5 years.

Toasterwaffle · 15/10/2016 20:35

Evening all :)

Collie I am sorry to hear about the house. We had a similar thing happen so lost a place, then this house came along and in retrospect its much better for us - gives you some space to re-evaluate before you look again

Jealous of all the nail pics. I have been a biter since I was a child and have had shorter than short nails for as long as I can remember. When I left work recently the urge to bite them (anxiety methinks!) completely vanished and they have grown out quite well! I dont think they'll ever look completely 'normal' due to how far back Ive bitten them in the past as the white starts quite far back but pleased to report I have been painting them and feeling rather proud lol

Sat all cosy in my PJs, robe and a blanket watching a movie. The kids are in bed and DH is at work. I have a very sore foot at the moment so sat with feet up on a hot water bottle that DS had in for a while but then said he was too hot - mmmm.

Very little spends this week, sticking well so far to the new budget which is fab. £1.55 today on a stamp and some sweeties for the DC.

Had a frugal win in the week as I got a text saying as my washing machine repair was taking so long they offered me a new one of my choice... chose a completely different one which retails at £190 more than the one we have! Being delivered on monday Grin

Tryingtosaveup · 16/10/2016 00:00

Blimey Toaster, that is a real frugal win with that washing machine.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend
Glad you had a good night out on hen do a Wreck. You have had some rotten luck recently with the DCs illnesses.
Went to local market today £30.24 but pleased with the stuff I bought.
Staying with friend for weekend. Stress free.
