This means I won't be able to get the merlin passes I was going to get because the money won't be payable for another four months Sad

Colliefeatures · 25/04/2016 13:08

wreck I just read on the other thread that partner promotions / days out will still continue.

The instore boost events will end after the last May boost. Apparently!

It's a tad confusing. Haven't seen anything official yet. Confused

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/04/2016 13:38

I had that letter about the boost, it's only Tesco stuff. The boost partners are still active.

WreckTangled · 25/04/2016 13:44

Ah phew! I was sad there for a minute Grin

I'm making lamb tagine for dinner for the first time. Hope it comes out ok.

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/04/2016 13:50

I was sad when a relative txt to say topcashback had closed down so NONE of us would be getting CB & it is was just her luck.

Turned out it'd logged her out. She'd extrapolated the rest herself.

For kicks and shit.

WreckTangled · 25/04/2016 13:53

Oh Confused I would have been devastated!

I'm really glad it's just the in store boost as I don't do that anyway! I prefer shopping for Christmas throughout the year so I save the tokens for restaurant vouchers etc (and now, apparently, magazine subs) :)

Think I'm going to order the printer today.

Argh mumsnet is being shit today

Ipsos · 25/04/2016 14:00

So sorry to hear about the MIL troubles Em. I don't even begin to know what to say. Well done for supporting dh.

collie - I'm really sad to hear about Tesco Boost. The reason I can manage to live semi-frugally is because I use Tesco Boost as an outlet for my repressed shopping urges. Hey ho.

ds's climbing frame arrived today so we have building fun later. I'm looking forward to that a lot. :-)

Colliefeatures · 25/04/2016 14:40

Phew! fluffy. At least you got a letter. Grin

EvaDelectorskaya · 25/04/2016 14:47

€6 on bleach and a scrubbing brush

Saturday:
€3 in bakery

Friday:
NSD

Thursday:
€47 in Aldi

Apologies for double post!

babsmam · 25/04/2016 14:53

I got a letter too. The last boost is in may (around the time of the next sainsburys 25% so best get saving). They will still do the 3x partner offers.

needastrongone · 25/04/2016 15:43

I'm am back, Hellllllooooo, did you miss me Grin

Thank you lovely frugal folk for asking after me, I have just been rather rushed off my feet with the competition season starting again, we are away most weekends and it's making me time poor. Plus the early starts, I am a walking zombie, but coping, thanks mainly to caffeine some days! And ddog1 seems to have a dicky tummy, which is lovely to come downstairs to at 5am Grin

girlie How's your daughter?

Creme How's your DS now?

Em I am rather [shocked] at your MIL, that must be pretty darn hard to deal with.

wrecked Lamb tagine is lovely.

I haven't spend much this weekend, DH spent some on things for the garden, so I need to log onto internet banking and catch up.

The pig from the farm are now sausages, so I am picking up 40 for a tenner later, which I think is a frugal win, but not for the pig obviously.

Rough menu plan is

Pasta bake with some feta mixed in, mixed veg.
SC lamb.
Sausages (obvs)
Chicken with fennel and orange.
Cheap meal, using eggs.

CremeEggThief · 25/04/2016 15:57

Yay, welcome back, NeedGrin. DS is much better thanks. We have a check-up with the dentist after school tomorrow.

WreckTangled · 25/04/2016 16:17

I missed you need! It was you who inspired me to make it Grin

Colliefeatures · 25/04/2016 16:27

I missed need too!

needastrongone · 25/04/2016 16:44
Grin

Aww shucks... I luffs you all too Smile

It's just hailed here! What the bloody hell?!!

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/04/2016 17:05

Oh you're back Need. Excellent.

NSD.

And I got a text off seven Trent saying my surface water charge for the past two years is being refunded because all the water that falls on our roof goes into a soakaway rather than the Sewars. £140 refund. We won't pay it again either so we're £60 a year better off.

I had to print out a form & state why I thought we didn't use the drains but that's all. Our house was built 2012 & I suspect the water board were told by the builders that we had a soakaway but didn't tell the billing dept so we got charged.

They haven't been out to us to check & you can't get into our back garden without us being here so I reckon they had it on record all along.

I've been reading up on this during the day & it seems to me that some areas insist on a soakaway in new builds unless the ground is unsuitable for some reason. So if your in a newish house it's definitely worth printing the form off the water company's website because if they do need to visit it's for free.

Making slow cooker red onion chutney. It's not going well. More like a vinegary soup so far.

babsmam · 25/04/2016 17:36

Hey need.

Ememem84 · 25/04/2016 17:52

Hi need!! And the rest of yous guys!!

nsd today. Yippee!!

Worked so hard -pretty sure I ploughed through about 200 emails today. Not sure how HmmConfused

I sold 3 things on eBay last night. One of which has paid. I hate this part - waiting for payment. I want to go to the post office! I'm going to need to go this week anyway to pick up my Israel money.

Spendy week ahead. Eyebrows & bikini wax, nails and pedicure for my trip (might only be business but I need to look nice!). Am trying not to but any new clothes. Have to start packing tonight. To make sure I have all outfits sorted. And then if I need anything can buy on Thursday. But i shouldn't need anything. Maybe new pants.

Have to do two fake tans this week too. One for legs and the other a full body one (may have to enlist Dh into helping me). I am so pale I'll frighten people if I go bare legged as I am. It's going to be about 32 degrees in Jerusalem. So no way am I wearing tights.

glad topcashback isn't broken! I got scared when I read that!!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 25/04/2016 18:32

Hello Need I missed you Grin dd is fine thank you all that asked, I still took her to the Drs after work as I am officially a paranoid mother now!! She was very nice and said its understandable that I will be anxious but that dd is fine, its probably the start of a cold or something. She did also say that its fine to have a low threshold for getting her seen so thats good.

Weirdly came home to find a letter from the local hospital with the date of an out patient appointment with the paediatric team, they told me when she was discharged from hospital that she wouldn't need any follow up so was surprised to get this! Its good that they are keeping an eye on her though I guess.

Have managed a NSD and we had brinner for tea Grin was yummy.

babsmam · 25/04/2016 18:46

Girlie the NHS has its critics but for the most part I have to say they are really good at seeing children and have the view they would rather see them and settle your mind
