I would think the out patient appointment is a good thing Girlie, it will help ease your worries. I honestly don't think you fall into the paranoid mother bracket, you seem to me to be entirely in the Sensible Mother bracket, even given recent events.

I'm not sure I know the currency in Israel Em? You sound organised and sorted. Fair play wanted to look nice, I like to spruce up for a 'holiday' too.

That's a good days work Fluffy re the refund. I am going to check now re our house, but I think we do have a soakaway.

I need to do my internet banking to see what DH has spent over the weekend, there's a bunch of flowers for me in every room I've been in so far since yesterday, which is really sweet but not needed or frugal.

EvaDelectorskaya · 25/04/2016 18:49

Cagliostro - I was reading back through the thread, I think it was you who mentioned taking amitryptaline, do you mind me asking how you find it? I've been taking it for a couple of years now for chronic migraine and it's been a miracle drug for me. The only side effect is that I can't drink alcohol with it as it gives me horrendous hangovers, which is a pain but completely worth it at the same Time. Hope you don't mind me asking.

Ememem84 · 25/04/2016 18:52

need Israeli shekel.

girlie brinner? Breakfast for dinner? Yum.

I like to get organised for trips. Dh thinks I'm crazy.

needastrongone · 25/04/2016 18:52

Waves back at Collie too!! Blows air kisses to babs. Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/04/2016 19:08

I was thinking you'd probably have one due to being rural need.

Also Girlies new house because it'll be Eco freindly & Wreck because their also rural & creme because it's a modern house, I think.

Basically lots of people should have a punt at it if it's a newer house.

Colliefeatures · 25/04/2016 19:14

Ello ello,

girlie you are definitely not a paranoid mum!! Smile glad she's OK though.

em I am terrible at fake tanning :( jealous! your week sounds crazy busy!

I received my New Look jeans today and they sent extra long ones Hmm contacted them and "regular length" is no longer available. So I popped to Tesco earlier and they had the same jeans (colour, button and material. Even checked the %'s on the label) and they were cheaper. So a frugal win.
Will return the New Look jeans to store.

I feel like I keep buying the wrong shit clothes Confused

Colliefeatures · 25/04/2016 19:18

fluffy holy crap! Thanks for the tip about the water! Shock our new build came with everything required to recycle all the rain water that fell into guttering. girlie and 8 your new houses will come with the same water butt / guttering setup too!

beesarethebest · 25/04/2016 19:18

Does this mean I should cash out my topcashback account? It keeps saying things like if I do this I get more money but I don't spend or shop at some of those places!

NSD. Went to bank to look at re mortgaging. Looks v feasible. We want to release equity to do up the garage/home office. Even just remortgaging at different bank without extending it will result in £100 savings per month and that is with a drop in term. I think we need to go for this!

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/04/2016 19:27

DONT PANIC TOPCASHBACK IS NOT CLOSING.

I never got a water butt with my house! I had to buy one.

Bees That sounds promising. Plus any overpayments will really make inroads into the capital. it was easy to do.

Ememem84 · 25/04/2016 19:33

collie I'm only just recovering from last fake tan mishap. One ankle went orange. Oops.

Dh thinks it's hilarious that he has to help. But I can't reach my whole back and can't see whether I've tanned both of my bum cheeks!!

needastrongone · 25/04/2016 19:37

Frugal tip - check your local council websites, usually recycling information, ours has linked up with a local 'green' firm to provide compost bins, water butts etc at reduced prices. Most councils have environmental targets to meet, so I suspect most will have such a scheme. We got our water butts and compost bins for much less than B&Q or similar would sell them for.

Colliefeatures · 25/04/2016 19:51

fluffy no I dont think most standard new builds come with water butts but I think most shared ownership / affordable housing (rent and buy) have them. It's definitely a "thing" down 'ere with all affordable housing schemes. Fingers crossed it's a UK wide thing for Girlie and 8 too :)

em haha! which fake tan do you use? I use Xen Tan! It's gorgeous and olivey. My latest mishap was an orange ear lobe Blush. I slapped it on in a hurry.

CremeEggThief · 25/04/2016 20:09

Smile at all the fake tan anecdotes. Apart from Dove gradual tanner, I've never used it. I even wimped out of having a spray tan when I was a bridesmaid last year!

Thanks for the info, Fluffy, but sadly, I don't qualify any more, as this house is 1930s. My previous one was 2006, so probably would have qualified.

Better to be safe than sorry, Girlie. Even when the NHS gets it wrong, as it did at first with DS last week, I still think we're lucky to have it.

Right, today's spends: £10 gas top-up; £8 electricity; £1.90 bus fare back from Pilates as it's bloody freezing out where we are; £2.89, in the Co-op (milk, yogurt tubes and a 4 pack of Cadbury Caramels). Total: £22.79.

WreckTangled · 25/04/2016 20:12

Nsd.

Ememem84 · 25/04/2016 20:26

collie ive used a soltan one recently and that ones great. The next one I've got to use is st moritz (boots one).
I've never used xentan but my beautician lady swears by it. I'm dubious though. The soltan one dries pretty much instantly.

The st moritz one apparently develops over 8 hours so I may need to wear it to bed and it might mark my bedding!! Xentan also does this apparently.

IdStillRatherBeKnitting · 25/04/2016 21:03

Got on well today, £6 in the coop on fruit in the morning, and £11 in tescos after the dentist with a little food treat for everyone to go home with. Ds was a star, and opened his mouth brilliantly for the dentist. I think he does not remember at all his hideous operation. Dp and I certainly always will. All his remaining teeth are perfect. I get judged a lot, for being the parent who's child had to have all their rotten teeth out, sometimes I explain, sometimes I ignore!

Have put the last of my seedlings into the greenhouse, but it is totally going to freeze tonight, so will have to bring them in again. The gritters have been out and everything.

Cagliostro · 25/04/2016 21:24

Not at all Eva :) I've found it pretty good. I take it as a painkiller too, mainly for fibro/CFS pain, but was initially prescribed it for headaches. It works quite well I think, helps me sleep too as I realise when I forget to take it! Blush I did try gradually coming off it last year because I wasn't sure if it was actually doing anything (I am still in pain) but it all got sooo much worse so I'm back on it now.

Rubbish day here, DD is upset as it transpires she's been ditched by a friend, not because of said friend but because of her parents who seem to think home education is some kind of contagious disease Hmm. I've achieved pretty much nothing except some poetry with DD and finishing the craft drawers, the laundry is untouched and the home ed resources are eeeeverywhere. And to top it all off the toilet is blocked. Fucksake.

Hello, I'm back, will post properly later, am catching up, but didn't want to forget this.

DS had a friend at primary school who always fought with her mum about her maths homework, so fir a term she Fahd to mine to do it.

I recently offered to help a friend of his (from a different school) and his mum said they had been struggling saying "I bet audit could do this..." I said I was happy to help. I find that easy.

SpaceKablooie · 25/04/2016 21:55

Yay, all of my eBay items sold!

Do I need to send them by signed for delivery, or do I only need proof of postage? Thanks!

Glad to see you Audit

SpaceKablooie · 25/04/2016 22:04

Thanks Fluffy.

AuditAngel · 25/04/2016 22:05

Look at Curvissa for bikinis. I'm not sure what sizes they start at (being big) but they have proper bras and you can select tops and bottoms separately. I got a good discount on my first purchase.

AuditAngel · 25/04/2016 22:14

Head and shoulders is good for stripping colour

AuditAngel · 25/04/2016 22:41

Ok, many apologies for going AWOL, mainly due to the show eating ip all my time. Spending has been ridiculous.

Today, £19 in Tesco (but on top of outrageous supermarkets spends last week), £22 on a ticket for a night out on Thursday. The cast from the kids show are performing a cabaret in London after the show, so I'm going.

Was a bit concerned about costs for the night out (at a casino). I enquired as to how the other 2 people were getting there and back, was offered a lift. I don't want O take advantage so offered to drive, but one of the friends doesn't drink, so she said she'll drive (yay).

We have been invited to a wedding in June in Spain. Bought tickets last week £338; refused to pay extra to sit with DH! Booked car park, £59, quidco didn't track so raised a claim. Today I realised I hadn't booked car park got summer holiday, £146, less £12 cash back.

£75 for last half term's dancing lessons (had already paid £50)
