That soup sounds amazing Em, I think we all need the recipe please!

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/04/2016 19:00

Bees

Did Ziffit pay the quoted prices? Or did they pay less.

Well done on selling them. I got rid of most of my DVDs, I think streaming is going to replace DVDs.

CremeEggThief · 24/04/2016 19:16

£13.29 on 3 eBay sales, so 9 out of 11 items listed sold.
Spends: £5.05 on Charlotte Crosby's Belly Blitz DVD Blush and £13.98 on 2 navy cotton waffle throws for my sofas.

Ememem84 · 24/04/2016 19:16

purple it's based from one in Pinterest. But essentially :

Carrots (I used 7 as had them to use up)
1 onion
3celery stalks
4 garlic cloves
Chilli flakes
1cup red lentils
Chicken stock and about 2 heaped teaspoons of peanut butter.

Cook. Whizz up. If we're having it at home I dry roast peanuts and throw these on top with some shredder spring onion. Yumm

WreckTangled · 24/04/2016 19:20

Purple I wrote what I bought in my previous post Grin I was impressed too!

Bees that's brilliant!

8FencingWire · 24/04/2016 19:25

Oh Em, that soup sounds really nice! Thanks for the recipe.
NSD. I worked today. All good.

beesarethebest · 24/04/2016 20:22

fluffy they basically paid everything they agreed to. There was one book they said wasn't pristine so they didn't pay for that. That's fine. Everything else was spot on and frankly if I had the patience I would have listed on eBay etc but I couldn't be bothered. I was interested in getting rid of stuff from my office.

Cagliostro · 24/04/2016 20:29

Spends:
£79.77 Tesco delivery
£12.25 nature centre entry/food etc

I had a nice quiet afternoon snuggled up with DS, we did some maths :) and I've done much more sorting of various drawers.

Proof of how being disorganised costs money because you replace stuff you can't find: I found SIX of those Scotch tape dispensers. Six! Blush :o

Any recommendations for recent DVD releases we should watch please? I get free rentals with my job, and since I'm clearly not going to be there much longer I may as well make the most of the perks while they last. Into most things between us really so open to any suggestions! :)

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/04/2016 20:50

I've finally worked through our stash of parcel tape.

Dh rejected the chicken dinner I was doing & is now cooking himself curry & stressing because it's so late Hmm

I'm leaving him to it & drinking wine before it goes flat.

Where is Need? Is she on pony duty?

babsmam · 24/04/2016 20:57

Cag, star wars? Hunger games quartet?
Wasn't need having to get up at stupid o'clock to feed the pony up a bit? Hope she's OK.
That soup sounds lovely.

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/04/2016 20:59

Yes the pony has a 5am feed now. I don't suppose they make auto feeders for ponies.

Brutal.

PurpleRibbons · 24/04/2016 21:21

Sorry wreck, I'm beyond tired this weekend and keep doing/saying stupid things!
Thanks for the recipe Em, DD loves carrot soup so I might make that for us soon.

SpaceKablooie · 24/04/2016 21:24

I keep refreshing the items I'm selling on eBay Grin. I need to relax.

northender · 24/04/2016 22:03

Em ShockShockat your mil

Cheap day at the cricket today watching ds play. Dd came too and was learning to score so she can start making some money.
Managed to put hotspot in the slow cooker before we left so it was perfect when we arrived home & enough left for tomorrow's lunches. Had spaghetti Bol last night, made enough bolognese for 2 meals & have now converted the leftover half into chilli which will be tomorrow's tea & Tuesdays lunch.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 24/04/2016 22:35

Cag have the kids seen Inside Out? Dd enjoyed that, also The Good Dinosaur (although it is a bit sad!)

Yes where is Need?

We had a lovely afternoon, dd did the high ropes which was £10 plus an ice cream £1 and a cup of tea for me £1.60.

Dd complaining of a slight sore throat tonight which has worried me, going to sneak in and check her temp in a min!!

Cagliostro · 25/04/2016 01:28

Oh dear Girlie that's a pain, but it'll just be a niggly cold or something. Wise to keep an eye though of course.

Thanks for the recommendations! Need to try and return lots of books so I have more room on my ticket. I'm not borrowing more fiction for a while as now I've got a case for my kindle I'll be reading what I've got on there.

We have plasterers around today. I'm toying with the idea of going food shopping. However it can wait. We are not desperate. I just like it, woops.

I always set myself challenges when food shopping like how much I'll spend and how long I take, and how quick I pack my bags (in aldi), I try to beat the cashier lol.

I'm 23 and really need to get a life lol.

Colliefeatures · 25/04/2016 07:48

Hope DD is OK girlie

Our cups of tea are tasting awful recently. Same Sainsbury's teabags and kettle as always. Could it the kettle? It's so horrid! I can't describe it. The kettle is a few years old.

It should have been a NSD but DS urgently needs some collared t shirts or something as his head gets stuck in standard neck tops. Poor thing!! He needs quite a few so I'm on the look out for multipacks.

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/04/2016 09:41

Dont That's totally normal Aldi behaviour though isn't it?. What are they plastering?. I'm TRYING to find a tiler, it's not easy.

Collie Limescale? Has anyone else noticed?.

How is DD Girlie?.

DontLetMeLetYouGo · 25/04/2016 11:36

Fluffy they are plastering our back room. It's quite large as we're having a new fire place put in too. They'll be here the next couple of days. I've fed them bacon butties lol.

Spent £13 on dbs update.

I'm still looking around for car service deals. Vauxhall want 153 for an interim.

Colliefeatures · 25/04/2016 11:44

fluffy Yeah DH has noticed too. No limescale inside the kettle (well, a little spot by the spout).

I'm wondering if it's the teabags. It's truly disgusting. I bought some Twinings for our trip away so am going to try one of those & see how it tastes.

DS is being one of those "I'm SO tired and grumpy!" toddlers. But when you put him down for a nap after copious amounts of yawning - he doesn't go to sleep. Hmm then he's a grump ALL afternoon.

I tried skipping the nap completely and he was an emotional mess. Quiet time isn't helping either. ARGH!

Its not frugal related but it might be if I end up going bankrupt due to a chocolate and coffee addiction. Grin

DontLetMeLetYouGo · 25/04/2016 12:02

I've found a service for 121. So I will book it in at Halford autocentre. It's a saving of £33. Win win, money in my pocket. I've spent all morning searching for best deals. I've looked on cashbook sites and can't see anything.

Happy with that though.

Colliefeatures · 25/04/2016 12:27

I've just found out on another thread that Tesco are stopping their Clubcard Boost!

Confused
WreckTangled · 25/04/2016 12:34

What collie?!

Aiming for nsd still. Ft dd a drs appt for 4:15 as she has a sore bottom (front and back she's always suffered)

WreckTangled · 25/04/2016 12:40

This means I won't be able to get the merlin passes I was going to get because the money won't be payable for another four months Sad
