Wow, I bet you get loads of snow in winter Yank!
Sorry to hear you are struggling fuzz, take care of yourself.
Spent £50.47 on weekly shop (not bad) plus £20 on a friend's birthday present.
Made lovely dinner of baked tofu & sweet potatoes with ginger & soy, brown rice and stir fried veg. Meal plan for rest of week:
Tomorrow - something from freezer with interesting salad.
Thur - cauliflower & lentil curry
Fri - pasta, tomato sauce & garlic bread
Sat - lasagne using Bolognese from freezer with sweet potato wedges
Sun - some sort of roast/veggie alternative
Mon - out for DH's birthday.
I've also made a big pot of carrot & lentil soup for lunches.
Think I have tonsillitis again.

Knitting I am joining you in needing to lose a stone, I weighed myself tonight Shock in the last 6 months i have put on 10lbs! That would explain why my clothes have been feeling a tad tight Blush

My plan is to up the exercise and stop eating all the Cake

Checked my account tonight - i have £6 left till pay day on Friday!

Ipsos · 23/02/2016 21:30

Good day today. Ds had three playdates after school, and I did 100 minutes of writing work so finished the day with more money than I started. Score!

I have also sold our shed, which will help with the garden fixing later in the spring. That was £130 on ebay, so not bad at all. Yay!

Sending Flowers to Fuzz. Hope the typing gets better soon.

Ememem84 · 23/02/2016 21:30

rafa knitting yep. It's because I have an offshore account. Because I live offshore. And therefore can't have an onshore one. Because I'm not uk resident.

It wasn't just me it was pretty much everyone here. But it still annoys me that they're so stupid. They should be looking at people like my clients who live in Aruba. Who bank with them offshore pay no taxes/minimal uk tax. all totally legal promise

And rafa better a crapaud than a donkey!!

I do love Guernsey though. It's very pretty.

Dh spent £73 in the shop.

colliepirate · 23/02/2016 21:35

Glad the doctor apologised wreck

I also need to lose weight. Calorie counting on my fitness pal helps me realise how calorific things are. Blush Chocolate

Bit early but my March goals are:

  1. to not use overdraft
  2. meal plan around mycoupons to increase Nectar balance
  3. save for holiday - £100 if possible
  4. reduce gas / electric DD with weekly meter readings. Save £30 a month.
  5. get the car serviced
  6. buy no toys or clothes for DS. (I am terrible for buying toys!)
  7. DS needs shoes but will buy them on eBay
  8. Make £40 on eBay
Pointlessfan · 23/02/2016 22:03

Frugal win - just found £3.50 in a handbag I haven't used for a while Smile

babsmam · 24/02/2016 06:34

Nsd and off work today as can't see out of one eye.
Fuzz Flowers
I have been reading but can't see well enough to type.

Ememem84 · 24/02/2016 06:51

pointless love when that happens!

WreckTangled · 24/02/2016 06:53

Hoping for a nsd. I've got to have my smear today yuck. Luckily the nurse is fabulous and she's done my two post natal checks and held my hand whilst I had my coil put in. She's also the diabetes nurse so I know her really well. Also need to sort some contraception really can't decide what to get.

Dd said she prefers porridge to ready brek - win!

Girlie I have £23.50 left and tomorrow we're off to a farm so that'll be gone! Got my payslip yesterday though so at least I know what I'll be getting....

Pointlessfan · 24/02/2016 07:20

Hope you feel better soon babs, do you have conjunctivitis? There seems to be a lot of it about.
Have had 2 cat-related frugal wins! His blood tests came back clear, the vet called last night and said he is extremely healthy for his age (14). Also they didn't have the flavours of expensive branded cat food for elderly cats left in Asda yesterday so I bought chicken flavour own-brand and he loves it. That should save a few quid.
DH's birthday next week, have got present but I need to get a card and a couple of treats e.g. nice beers, chocolate so might drag myself to the shops later, still feel poorly.
Got our monthly energy statement and it's much higher than usual, think having a week off sick and half term week off means we've had the heating on a lot more than usual. Need to rein it in a bit!

Ememem84 · 24/02/2016 07:29

Getting nails done today after work £35. But I think I'm at the end of my loyalty card so should get 25% off.

Have thought of a few more things I can eBay.

Unbelievable period pain today. Super rubbish. Want to stay in bed. Sad but unfortunately I don't think work will accept period pain as an excuse. if only we were allowed duvet days must suggest that to senior management

Homemade chicken noodle soup for lunch all packed up in my soup cup.

babsmam · 24/02/2016 07:44

Yes conjunctivitis. I can barely see out of one eye it's so swollen.
Hope your throat is better soon pointless.
Em boo that pain sucks. Hope it eases soon

colliepirate · 24/02/2016 07:51

I forgot to mention in a previous post about tax, pensions etc - that the figures included the minimum pay rise that DH will get. Hopefully he'll get double that but the company he works for are a bit odd about pay reviews & bonuses. You just can't rely on them.

I was going to go into town today but I'm being frugal and staying at home. Sad boring!

colliepirate · 24/02/2016 07:52

I hope everyone feels better soon! babs your eye sounds so painful Flowers

WreckTangled · 24/02/2016 07:56

Oh babs that does sound nasty!

Em that's rubbish lots of painkillers needed.

babsmam · 24/02/2016 08:04

At least it is sunny here minus2 so I can wear sunglasses on the school run. Look like a twatbin the yard or look like I've been in a fight, hmm tough choice.

Ememem84 · 24/02/2016 08:26

babs hope it clears up soon. Not cool. Except the sunnies in February. That is cool.

needastrongone · 24/02/2016 08:59

collie What happened with the interview? I think I missed that.

Babs Your eye sounds really sore, bless you. Also makes the good eye ache after a while too I would imagine.

Poor you em, tis awful, period pain.

I am home today too. So, going to tidy up for the cleaner tomorrow, strip beds etc and go to Aldi.

Stuffed peppers with Halumi (sp) and olives tonight. DH is away for 2 days.

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/02/2016 09:02

babs That sounds awful. You dont wear sunglasses all year? mine never leave the car.

Em I've been thinking about your love of beauty products. Those serums wont prevent or reverse aging. Only retin a cream (you can buy it super cheap off ebay from thailand) and sunscreen every single day no matter how cloudy or rainy is going to help. You cannot use retin A unless you are not trying to conceive. It's something that even in cream form will seriously harm a baby.

I've been using clinique city block 40 (higher antioxidant levels than 25spf) for years and get told I look 25.

Solgar magnesium citrate, never oxide, reduces period pain right down. Cramping smooth muscles like magnesium a lot.

WreckTangled · 24/02/2016 09:15

I got told I look twenty by a patient at work the other day who was shocked to see that I was wearing a wedding ring. Grin

Mmm I love halloumi. Live stuffed peppers too.

I've done a load of washing, made all the beds, emptied and refilled the dishwasher, taken the dc to school and might squeeze in another coffee before I have to go to the Drs.

I asked pre school if ds could do another full day but they said they're full apart from Thursday afternoon Sad then she said that ds was down for Thursday morning anyway after Easter (which is a mistake) so turns out he can do all day Thursday! We decided she must have had a premonition! It's funded so I just have to pay for lunch club and fruit and then I can start my extra hours.

colliepirate · 24/02/2016 09:20

need nope you didn't miss a thing. DH just gets a pay review at the end of March in his current job.

BUT I just heard that he got offered the job he interviewed for last week! Yay!!!!! Grin

WreckTangled · 24/02/2016 09:23

Great news collie! Need must have also had a premonition!

colliepirate · 24/02/2016 09:26

I was just thinking that too! Haha. Fuck I'm SO happy! Grin

Pointlessfan · 24/02/2016 09:33

Great news collie Grin

babsmam · 24/02/2016 09:45

Yeah collie dh.
Good news on the extra hours at nursery wreck.
I went for sunglasses. I do wear them all year for driving as I'm fair and my eyes are sun sensitive just not in the school yard. I let a couple of people see my eye and they recoiled so twas a good choice.
