Thanks so much for cheering me up, feel better today, but so cross with myself. I took photos straight away, and when she took my number she rang to check I hadn't lied, so I guess we're all as suspicious as each other!

I break out in itchy hives and get very repetitive ocd (endless checking) when I'm stressed, so I'm cross I brought it on myself. They used to leave me in charge of bloody great big oil tankers, and niw it seems I can't be trusted to negotiate a roundabout at sodding ikea!

Pointlessfan · 22/02/2016 17:48

Hope you are ok knitting, a bump in the car is always a shock.
NSD, I'm shattered and seem to be getting another lurgy, I ache all over and have a very sore throat.

colliepirate · 22/02/2016 18:28

It has been a really depressing day here.

But a successful NSD.

Knitting Wine what a shock, hope the nerves settle

Long and rubbish day at work. Dh didnt want a tea so i had some of last nights reheated leftovers. Lunch was an english muffin from the packet in my car on the way between visits. Roll on next Jan!!

The london trips sound fab! Used to live there. Ds now talking about the natural history museum so we may end up over for a weekend before the summer (best friend still lives there so cheap trip staying at hers!)

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 22/02/2016 19:38

Thanks all super glue now there's a plan. They will see how glasses help in 3mths then if no improvement patch they only consider surgery from about 4yrs and for comestic reasons really. I have a squint not operated on til! I was 7 and was not effective. I have worn glasses since I was 4 and patched throughout primary school I used to lie about which eye it went on as hated it!! I shall broach the optician on sat decided going to see what specsavers offer as they do pretty much any from the £65-85 kids range on voucher (hospital told me voucher was worth £39) for free and a second pair free and being a big retailer they must have a fair selection of baby glasses even if they dont sell the "saucy" tomato ones {£125+ a paiur}

Ememem84 · 22/02/2016 20:09

wreck who are you.....!!!

So far eBay thingies packaged up. Soup made. Flapjacks made. Outfit chosen. Just taking a break watching university challenge. finding out how thick I really am

needastrongone · 22/02/2016 20:12

Hope you are ok knitting, even small bumps shake you up. Be kind to yourself.

Had an Amazon voucher for some cookbooks, so NSD. Been a long day, as worked, and then took MIL to her warfarin clinic, which ran very late, so I got home very late, walked dogs, and just did the basics (swapped washing over, vacuumed, cooked).

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/02/2016 20:12

I know who wreck is

needastrongone · 22/02/2016 20:12

Em you are a busy bee Smile

colliepirate · 22/02/2016 20:28

Em wowzers you've been busy.

knitting hope the nerves settle soon. Flowers

pointless hope you start feeling better soon.

I applied for a job randomly yesterday. Today I received an email that said "thanks but you aren't even worth interviewing!" It was a recruiter from a job agency. The job was actually ideal for me. I've got years and years of experience doing the same thing. But I have a large gap on my CV due to taking time out to look after DS.

It's one thing being told you haven't been shortlisted. But to be told in a such a horrible, blunt way by a twat of a recruiter.

The salary was much less than I'd want to.

I just feel completely unemployable. Sad

End of self pity. Haha!

babsmam · 22/02/2016 20:34

I know too I know too.>

Collie sounds like a right twat.

Ememem84 · 22/02/2016 20:38

Tired now. And feeling v stupid. One question right on university challenge.

Should be nsd tomorrow. I do have to do a boots shop at some point but can probably wait until later in the week. Vouchers were sent to me for double points. I've uploaded to my card. Luckily it's all things I need/use - face wipes, vitamins, "girl things" (pant liners pads and tampons)

Have budgeted £20 for the shop. Will be able to get a lot for this so shouldn't have to stick up for ages.

Tummy ache now not because I've eaten too many just warm flapjacks might be period pain. But not sure. Off the pill now so waiting for something to happen....

Girlfriend36 · 22/02/2016 20:41

Lila gives a clue to wrecks true identity on page 33

Collie ugh that is horrible your dream job is out there but don't blame you for feeling despondent.

I have just taken the cabinets and towel rails down in out bathroom, it is getting ripped out on Wednesday - seriously can't wait to see the back on it! Will mean living in chaos for a few days though.

Have sorted out my meat into portions to freeze, suddenly had the bright idea that could separate bacon into separate portions and freeze as well. For some reason that hadn't occurred to me before and I always ended up with a couple of inedible dried up bits of bacon at the bottom of the packet!!

Girlfriend36 · 22/02/2016 20:45

Oooh Em am crossing my fingers for you!

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/02/2016 20:46

Good grief collie that's awful. I'm speechless at that one.

Pointlessfan · 22/02/2016 20:49

Collie that's awful, can you complain to anyone?
I watched uni challenge too Em, I'm sure I'd have done much better if DH hadn't kept talking over all the questions Wink

Lovetoknit · 22/02/2016 21:49

colliepirate · 22/02/2016 22:15

I feel slightly better. I'm so grumpy I'm actually laughing at myself periodically.

I think he's a lone ranger who works for himself. He keeps viewing my LinkedIn profile though. Wish he'd bugger off.

NSD tomorrow too! Smile
