Italian, such sad news, hugs to you...
Collie- hope January improves for you...
Spotty - my twins had the same swimming costume issue Smile
Wow! This thread moves fast, three LSD spent £12 on bits like milk, bread crisps for pack up. Walked dog and drove somewhere nice to read my library book near twins school for a free "me" treat today rather than going to town shopping like I normally do on Friday (charity shops mind). This month is passing so quick!

Pointlessfan · 15/01/2016 19:33

I remember when your friend list her child italian, I don't know how anyone gets through that. Hope you are ok, or as ok as possible.
Sorry to hear about your month collie, hopefully the rest of the year can only improve.
NSD, that's only £1 spent in 3 days. Going to watch tv and eat chocolate tonight.

lilacclery · 15/01/2016 20:04

Collie we used to book cheap flights for end Jan & go for a weekend away & make it our Christmas present to each other. Made January so much more bearable with something to look forward to. Haven't done it in a few years now but I saved the entire of last year to treat us to this for our 10th anniversary.

Need as creme said don't need chargers for phones. You can select your phone on their website & tell them it's condition & they'll tell you what it's worth. Can get it in Argos vouchers, PayPal or into your bank account.

spotty that's great news about extra work

lilacclery · 15/01/2016 20:07

Jeepers what did you make the cat food from?

Ipsos · 15/01/2016 20:25

NK5 I just typed in all the ISBN numbers and all the rubbishy books that I'd always regretted buying were worth a fiver and all the really good books weren't wanted, so it was easy in the end.

Well done spotty!

Well done on the housework need. That was a lot! Great to have the weekend to yourself. SmileBrew

fuzzpig · 15/01/2016 20:43

Collie sorry about how the year has started for you :( Thanks

Ah Italian I remember that. God bless everyone.
Collie sorry you are having a rubbish month Flowers all round

AdoraBell · 15/01/2016 22:00

Hope things improve very soon Collie

NSD here.

SpottyTeacakes · 16/01/2016 06:34

Going to lidl this morning hoping for a cheap one though. Take away at a friends tonight for her birthday but I'm going to use the £25 from fb sale for that.

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/01/2016 07:47

Italian I remember the baby passing away, I'm so sorry. Suicide is truly the worst.

Spotty Great news on the hours.

Jeepers does the cat food have enough taurine in it? They get heart failure if they don't get enough. It's what puts me off raw feeding is I'd worry about getting enough in him. That and dh insisting it's not normal for cats to eat raw Confused

£46 new jeans. Prob return them though. Feel guilty buying them. Def returning them.

£11 aldi.
£2 morrisons but got two jars of luxury mincemeat for next years mince pies.
£2 sains for dairy free ice cream for tonight's suet pudding.

colliepirate · 16/01/2016 07:56

Thanks everyone. Yestrrday was a fab day so Im feeling brighter! The good news is the car won't cost us a penny. Thank goodness. Otherwise I'd be sobbing.

girlie we decided not to relocate just yet. The company that offered DH a job has a crap reputation. The MD sounded like a complete prick too. But DH has already been headhunted for others. Smile its exciting!

NSD today. (It's a no spend weekend here!)

JeepersMcoy · 16/01/2016 08:07

Lila and fluffy, I did a lot of research and ended up buying a vitimin and mineral powder called Fellini complete that is specifically for adding to raw cat food. You can get it online at zooplus. It's about £25 (inc p&p) for a tub that will last a few months for 2 cats.

I have then done a mix with pork mince and chunks of chicken thigh and one mix with salmon and prawns. I have frozen portions in plastic cups so just need to take a couple out to defrost the night before.

I had thought about getting a mincer and doing the whole bones and what not but it seems very complicated to get right and a decent mincer is pretty expensive. I thought I would start out with the simple option.

So far one has dived into it and one cat took a little longer to be convinced. They both ended up gobbling all the pork mix but the fussier one is not sure about the fish yet.

JeepersMcoy · 16/01/2016 08:10

Your comment about your dh made me laugh fluffy. I can just imagine my 2 boys frying up some dead mice in the garden Grin

JeepersMcoy · 16/01/2016 08:11

I'm glad things are looking up collie!Smile

needastrongone · 16/01/2016 08:59

Thanks for the information about phones. I am going to dig some out. One of my NYR is to sell 2 things a month, so this will help.

Fluffy Why on earth are you feeling guilty about keeping the jeans? You shouldn't!

I've just spent £40 on Amazon, linseed oil and ground black pepper for the pony, to mix with tumeric. Good for joints.

AdoraBell · 16/01/2016 09:01

Grin at MrFluffy.

Glad you are feeling better today collie and well done to DH on being head hunted.

Not sure about today, might stay home or might pop out to Sainsbo's/Lidl.

fuzzpig · 16/01/2016 09:17

That's good news Collie :)

Hmmph. The food storage things arrived and 400ml is much smaller than I thought! Oops. They will still be useful, but I think I'll need bigger ones. Unless I literally do individual portions of everything, in which case I'd need to defrost more than one at a time I guess.

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/01/2016 09:31

Jeepers Oh good. One of dhs colleagues raw feeds his cat and its pudding shaped now. He isn't giving it taurine and I worry he's not active because he has no energy. Our cat was on cooked chicken for 6 months and perked up when I found a proper food he could have without being sick.

Obviously wild cats have cookers & that bunny the cat disembowelled on the lawn last year was a fluke.

The floor tiles arrived at 8am. My arms are like jelly. We've moved half a ton of porcelain between us.

SpottyTeacakes · 16/01/2016 09:55

Fluffy keep the jeans! It's a rarity to find comfy jeans imo.

£54.26 lidl
£15 petrol.

Ememem84 · 16/01/2016 10:21

£25 riding lesson. That will be it today.

Whataboutnodetox · 16/01/2016 11:09

£35 on utensils - Christmas money

DH has taken ds1 to soft play £10

And I've dropped my slow cooker. The bowl has smashed. It was a cheap tesco one and I can't get a replacement bowl so I'm looking for a new one. I use it several times a week so I need to replace it. Gutted I fumbled it.

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/01/2016 11:36

Whoops. Was it a 6.5l? Aldi are doing replacement bowls for oval 6.5l with an internal divider so you can do two different dishes at once but it's no good if you need it for roast meats.

Pointlessfan · 16/01/2016 12:01

That's a pain what
NSD so far today, no plans to spend any money later either!

Whataboutnodetox · 16/01/2016 12:03

It was a 3.5 so I'm going to get a bigger one :-)

needastrongone · 16/01/2016 12:13

That's a pain what. In a way, as least it's a bit better that it was a value one, rather than something more expensive. Although, I have a Morphy Richards, and the pot isn't ceramic, you can use it on the hob to brown the meat, so you couldn't break it if you dropped it. Called Sear and Stew.

I've been productive. Made carrot and blood orange soup. And made a maple syrup cake. It's a bit flat. My baking tins are either really small or really big, I need something in between ideally.

Just going to tidy round, strip another bed and get the horse box to clean out.
