Whoa!! What a beast Em

Colliejollychristmas · 06/12/2015 21:22

We also used pillowcases instead of stockings when I was a child. I loved it! I think we will be using pillowcases this year. Grin

Pointlessfan · 06/12/2015 21:24

Fabulous tree em!

Ememem84 · 06/12/2015 21:43

Thanks! I 💚 It. It's the most beautiful tree ever. Cannot wait until it's decorated

am slightly worried that it might start multiplying and my living room tomorrow will just be tree

MrsSimonNeil · 06/12/2015 21:54

So sorry to hear your troubles luxy hang in there Chocolate

creme well done on eBay! Great that people have paid so quickly too. I have made about £30 over the last week on there. People must be buying gifts

Lovely tree em it's a whopper Xmas Grin

I managed a NSD day, it was quite productive too. I got quite a lot of course work done, dh cleaned the van and we even got a bit of work done on the van interior. (We're converting it into a camper Grin) I've spent the evening labelling the tombola items for our pre school Christmas fayre...there was a LOT of stuff

AdoraBell · 06/12/2015 22:37

We always had pillow cases Spotty and when DDs were babies I was at a friend's house and the whole family had stockings with their names embroidered on them Xmas Shock

Hope you sleep well Luxy

Glad your eBay buyers have paid up creme and I hope that day's pay will come through soon.

lilacclery · 06/12/2015 23:19

ipsos · 06/12/2015 23:47

Em You are very funny. We could do with more of that. Keep it coming. I'm still laughing at the jelly snakes.

CremeEggThief · 06/12/2015 23:48

Thanks everyone. Adora, I am supposed to get it through this month, but we'll see. This is about the 5th or 6th time Payroll have messed up my pay in the last two years. They think I like working for free!

CremeEggThief · 06/12/2015 23:48

Loving the tree, Em.

AdoraBell · 07/12/2015 00:23

Ta da!

Today may or may not be a nsd. I need to get some bits from tesco and might go this morning.

Dh got paid two days ago but hasn't put the money in the joint account yet, however we haven't maxed out overdraft yet which is a great improvement!

Colliejollychristmas · 07/12/2015 08:43

Beautiful tree! spotty

I'm feeling weirdly down in the dumps & a bit "meh" today. A NSD is planned but I may take DS on a bus somewhere later as he loves buses at the moment.

Colliejollychristmas · 07/12/2015 08:44

Actually I won't be going anywhere because DH took all my change for the carpark. We don't have any cash machines nearby. So we will be staying in all day.

AdoraBell · 07/12/2015 08:59

We have a large artificial tree but no space for in this house so I have this beautyXmas Grin have used a coffee mug for scale.

I'm stuck at home too, DD1 isn't well so is off school. Is there nowhere you can go for a walk Collie or do crafts to pass the time?

Your tree looks lovely Spotty

Oh come all ye frugalers, joyful in December, oh come ye, oh come yea and chat
ipsos · 07/12/2015 09:15

My carpenter has the lurgy too so is off ill. Ds is back at school today. At least that gives me a bit more time to paint wood slowly. :-)

Colliejollychristmas · 07/12/2015 09:39

Adora your Christmas Tree is fab! Xmas Smile

Enjoy your painting Ipsos it sounds therapeutic.

If the weather remains calm and dry we'll pop out for a gentle walk. Smile

Girlfriend36 · 07/12/2015 09:51

Adora your tree is beautiful and Em Shock are you sure there isn't a few squirrels or bears hiding in it?? My cats would love that tree Grin

I still think it is too early for trees so ours will go up next Saturday, its the same one that comes out of the cupboard every year!!

Feel knackered today, slept badly last night for some reason. Am ready for this mild weather to be over, doesn't seem like winter at all - my bulbs are coming out and just seen another bee Confused

Glad its my day off, planning a very quiet day. Going to get the presents out and check i haven't forgotten anyone!!

SpottyTeacakes · 07/12/2015 09:53

I love it adora Grin

Oh collie that's rubbish I hope you can find something to do. I've got loads of tidying and cleaning to do Hmm

Spent £30.33 in tesco but got dw tabs (it seems all the daisy powder they had last time was stock clearance), radio times, coffee etc so it all adds up.

Colliejollychristmas · 07/12/2015 10:14

How much was the Radio Times spotty? I really want it. It reminds me of my Grandma. How ridiculous!

SpottyTeacakes · 07/12/2015 10:24

£4 Shock but there's a voucher for a free stick man activity book in it.

MrsSimonNeil · 07/12/2015 10:58

Lovely trees spotty and Adora Xmas Smile

The radio and tv times also reminds me of Christmas as a child...not sure I can stretch to £4 for it though. Do you remember when the radio times only had BBC channels and the tv times had the others so you had to buy both Xmas Confused

I'm taking dd1 to a home ed Christmas party today, £2 plus some party food. I'll take a pizza and a mango because we have those things in.

Colliejollychristmas · 07/12/2015 11:18

£4 is very pricey Shock. But it is better than using my ridiculous built in channel guide on my TV. I think I'll "earn" £4 via Nectar Surveys and mycoupons before splashing out on it though. Grin I just earnt £1 by doing 2 surveys.

INeedSomeHelp · 07/12/2015 11:23

My Mum only ever used to buy the Radio Times and TV Times at Christmas so it was always very exciting when they appeared in the house. Took quite a few years for us to persuade her that she only needed to buy one when they started publishing all channel information!
