rafa there is a sense of pride in spending when you know you've the money saved up for it isn't there. And cleaning stuff is non perishable and not like food where if you buy extra you eat extra!
I actually liked buying the christmas presents this year as I knew the money was there & I could take advantage of sales as they arose.
A couple of weeks ago I was going to buy a hoover and one that got good reviews was on half price at argos, I ordered argos vouchers from my shop and scan which was making the hoover free but they didn't arrive on time so I didn't purchase said hoover for €67.49. Now a hoover that looks to be a better buy and also has good reviews has come up on harveynorman for €54.99 & my work christmas bonus vouchers will work there. Plus harveynorman have a one day sale starting at 9.30am today, I don't expect a hoover that cheap to get any cheaper but I will wait to make sure
I got €150 in these vouchers and remainder can go against my car insurance I discovered yesterday if I choose to go with a particular company in February, had I realised this earlier I would have gotten more of my bonus in these vouchers.
I got €350 in dunnes vouchers will buy dd's christmas clothes there and remainder I will use for clothes for myself during the year. They have a good sale just after Christmas so I may visit that! This is a department store so when I feel the need to spend I have this as my back up plan for 2016.
I'm very cross with myself for using the credit cards in last couple of weeks. I know that I will have gift money from subcontractors at work and from my father for Christmas to pay it off but I'm still cross.
Pointless stop twitching
