Oh bloody well done Creme.

CremeEggThief · 01/12/2015 21:23

Thanks Fluffy. I am so looking forward to having a bit more money to live off than my current £745 a month, after rent.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 01/12/2015 21:28

Well done creme. Just one subject across all years, or are you staying with one class?

babsmam · 01/12/2015 21:34

Well done creme.

Great news Creme. Smile You'll be glad to have more money than that, definitely.

Well done Girl. That's great. I'm burning a ton of energy now as I need to dry the plaster out. (Ooops)

CremeEggThief · 01/12/2015 21:57

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate the support you have all give me, when I have been low. Wine Mainly in Nursery, Rafa, which is my very favourite.

Colliejollychristmas · 01/12/2015 22:02

Well done creme :)

girlie wowzers that's fab!

Colliejollychristmas · 01/12/2015 22:03

Love how I still call girl, girlie Grin old skool!

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 01/12/2015 22:07

nursery is lovely, enjoy. I'm being very good and ignoring the amazon recommendations for Pie Corbett's new Early Years book. I don't need it and I refuse to twitch and get it anyway. Grin

Whataboutreindeer · 01/12/2015 22:45

I have spent my evening auditing the Christmas presents I have already bought and ordering some gap fillers. Almost all done now. After that I've been sat making snowflakes and watching capital, very pleasurable evening.

Ememem84 · 01/12/2015 22:49

rafa I love that thread. Brilliant. its true. Some things mainlanders just don't get.

Here I can't buy flowers on a Sunday. It's not allowed.

fuzzpig · 02/12/2015 02:06

The new title totally threw me :o

I really need to go to sleep. Messing about on the computer in the small hours = shopping.

Think I'm nearly done with the Christmas shopping though. Nearly.

babsmam · 02/12/2015 06:21

Gah ds has toothache been up since 3!

Sorry fuzz [santa]

SpottyTeacakes · 02/12/2015 06:30

That's great news creme!

I'm sending ds to pre school today as he seems fine. It's only three hours anyway and they can call if he feels unwell.

Should be a nsd.

Pointlessfan · 02/12/2015 06:44

I like the festive new title! Yes that was me that got a new bin collie, you have a good memory!
Supermarket shop this morning and might do a bit of Xmas shopping too. Going to buy new fitted sheets for our bed as the elastic has all gone in ours and I have spent well over a year complaining about them. Supermarket ones are really not that expensive, I don't know why I have waited so long!

Whataboutreindeer · 02/12/2015 07:11

I think I might brace sainsbury later and look at some clothes. I allowed DH to use £37.50 of our nectar points to buy a new computer game. We've been saving them for ages and I couldn't find a cheaper way of him havjng the game. I'd like a dress for Christmas Day and Gabriel needs a nice Christmas onesie.

I need to find some cheap multi photo frames, we are giving photos of the children to grand / great grandparents as part of Christmas present. Cheapest on Amazon is £7 and with 5 to buy I'm feeling a bit twitchy. I need to take the photos today I think, hopefully Gabriel is well enough. I'm still reeling from his sats being in the 80's and requiring oxygen etc. Babies are so worrying!

I also need to pop to pound land for some tiny baubles for the kids Christmas tree and some more minion crisps.

Looks like it might be a spendy day!

ipsos · 02/12/2015 07:20

Glad he's on the mend What. Babies are indeed the antidote to calmness.

I'm having more adventures in energy saving today. The walls of our hall are changing colour from coffee, to chocolate, to salmon pink as the plaster dries out, and its suddenly incredibly obvious just how cold our external walls are. I hadn't really realised what a huge difference it made before.

It's costing me 10p an hour in gas to keep the hall at 17 degrees and dry them out.

Colliejollychristmas · 02/12/2015 07:48

pointless Wilko do some lovely and soft fitted bedsheets. Had to order mine online as we don't have a Wilko & was really pleased when they arrived.

what hoping Gabriel is on the mend. Enjoy buying him a Christmas Onesie. Sainsbury's had some very cute baby things. Including Christmas Pudding booties.

I bought a cheap multi photo frame thing from Amazon last Summer and a few bits had broken slightly in the post (I think DPD delivered it!). I was really disappointed because it was obvious that someone had placed something heavy on it as the photo frame arrived bent as well. It's currently lying under my bed as it can't hang flat against the wall. The Range have a fab selection if there's one near you.

So today's spends are at least:
£3 bus
£10 eye test
£10 in Sainsbury's TU
£4 in Body Shop

And magic beans in Next or M&S on a couple of thingies. It's going to so busy isn't it. Xmas Sad I have to hang around in town for 2 whole hours for my eye test.

Colliejollychristmas · 02/12/2015 07:51

I'm ridiculously excited about my eye test! Xmas Blush I cannot wait to have new glasses.

Whataboutreindeer · 02/12/2015 07:51

Collie we do have s range! And I do need some Christmas pudding booties, I have a sling I carry him in and always need foot solutions. It allows me to get things done with Wilfred. Spending opportunity galore!

Oh come all ye frugalers, joyful in December, oh come ye, oh come yea and chat
MrsSimonNeil · 02/12/2015 08:03

Morning everyone thanks for the welcome. Great news on the work hours creme fingers crossed it leads to more.

Hi fuzz I've seen some of your posts in the HE section, I'm fairly new to it. We've only been he'ing her for about 2 months so we're still finding our feet.

Yesterday ended up being slightly more spendy as I brought a few selection boxes and some Christmas cards for the kids to send to their friends. I did get my secret Santa gift in New Look reduced from £7.99 to £3.99 so I was pleased with that. They were lovely reindeer slipper socks. I'm quite hoping I pick my own gift out of the bag now Grin

I need to go grocery shopping today - I'm hoping to get it under £70 in aldi. I've been finding it quite difficult lately to keep it low. I've also brought something from a friend for dh so that's another £10. It's part of his Christmas present though.

MrsSimonNeil · 02/12/2015 08:06

I know what you mean collie I love having new glasses, I'm desperate for some new ones as my lenses are all scratched. I think I'm due an eye test in April. I can't wait!

SpottyTeacakes · 02/12/2015 08:08

Oh what I really want a snuggly baby in a wrap!

lilacclery · 02/12/2015 08:24

Definitely know what ye mean about new glasses, getting my Christmas bonus in work in vouchers and using some of it combined with my lensmail discount to buy new specs. Going to go shopping for them without the children too!

Love the referring to vouchers as magic beans!

My magic beans didn't arrive in time to buy my hoover in argos so I'll wait until the sales in January to get one.

ipsos I hope you get your new dishwasher asap, ours has made such a difference. It washes things that my old one didn't even get clean when it was brand new. Aldi had 70 dishwasher tablets on offer for €5.49 when I was doing shopping on Sunday, 40 is €4.49. This should do us up to about mid march.

whatabout are you near IKEA by any chance they've great photo frames. Any of the £ shops should be good too.

My ds had bronchiolitis at about 6 weeks, it's frightening and they get so much worse before they get better.

My ds doesn't want to go in his wrap anymore, will try him again at the weekend. It's so convenient, you still have a hand free for your other child then.

Girlie that's brilliant about your standing order coming down

AdoraBell · 02/12/2015 08:55

Well done creme Wine

And well done on those energy bills Girl

Welcome to all newbies

Love the new title Xmas Smile

I need to add £33 to yesterday's spends. Had to change what I am buying for DD2 because she requested something that we've already decided DD1 needs but doesn't have yet. I can't give it to one for Christmas and the other just because. So I've ordered the professional pencils that I had previously said were too pricey, that's why she decided on the other thing! Also bought their guide to using them to best effect.
