ipsos I brought in a sample apparently what I managed to gather into a bottle wasn't watery enough to check for rotavirus so I've to get another sample but they sent that one off as well for analysis. If it comes back clear they will check for possible coeliac disease but because he's not undernourished and it only became an issue 4 weeks ago it almost certainly isn't that. Good luck with your appointment.

collie good luck with your appointment

babsmam · 23/11/2015 14:34

Collie good luck and ipsos

50p in the charity on a book and £1 on chocolate as I was craving ripples Blush

blueteapot · 23/11/2015 14:54

Hiya everyone! Haven't read all the way back yet. I've been a bit absent as we've had a busy few weeks and haven't really been keeping great track of spends. Too many to confess

I go back to work at the end of this week so just resigned myself to sorting out the work wardrobe after mentioning it months ago. Very little fits so I'm feeling a bit down in the dumps about being so overweight (I may now have to admit that I've gone up to an 18 bottom half, have never been this big before). Some emergency smart clothes will be needing bought so I'll have to browse pinterest for plus size capsule wardrobes.

Lilac could your DS maybe have the temporary lactose intolerance that sometimes follows gastroenteritis?

Sorry to hear of all the sick folk, the lurgy is finally gone from this house

Good luck Collie. Have you tried polishing shoes or ironing something? I find those help a lot with nerves.

Lilac it does sound quite virusy. Hopefully it goes away soon.

lilacclery · 23/11/2015 15:50

Maybe blue but he's been off dairy for 3 weeks now and there's been no improvement at all.

Being overweight definitely gets you down doesnt' it?

Come polish my windows if you wish collie not making light of your situation btw.

SpottyTeacakes · 23/11/2015 15:55

Good luck collie Smile it'll be fine

Collieputthekettleon · 23/11/2015 16:00

Haha! I love polishing shoes and cleaning windows Blush my appointment was a breeze. My new doctor and nurse team deserve cuddles. They're a credit to the NHS.

lilacclery · 23/11/2015 16:03

Excellent - great news Collie SmileSmile

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/11/2015 16:31

Lidl free instore vouchers for xmas stuff

1.99 on a hot water bottle for the cat overnight.
79p on ranitidine for xmas when I've drunk too much
1.59 on stuff for dh.

2.49 on a massive Fox's xmas pud in B&M. It's only in date until April 2016 so it must be last years stock. I had one years ago and really liked it. More importantly it's milk free.

Another half an hour and I can put the heating on.

ipsos · 23/11/2015 16:35

That's great Collie Smile

I think I have got lucky and have nice new people come and fix my hall next Monday Smile I have painted lots of skirting boards.

I just rang up the dishwasher people for the fourth time today and finally got through. They are sending me a much snazzier dishwasher than our old one in the next few days. The machine is £200 more than our old one in the shops but we paid only £100 to upgrade, and because we did the upgrade we get a new two year warranty. That's a bit of luck isn't it?

Fluffy will be pleased to hear that it is very efficient for both water and electricity: Bosch SMV69M01GB

Hi all, Lila my dd had similar issues with loose stools that went on for ages and the Dr couldn't decide what it was, stool sample came back fine and they wanted to check for celiac for dd wouldn't let them take blood! Anyway it eventually righted itself and she is completely fine now Confused it may have just been a virus that dragged on or even stress though God knows what 9yos have to be stressed about Wink

Been at work all day, its flipping freezing here! Have turned the storage heaters up - can't cope with feeling cold. Spent £45 on petrol but no there spends, my Morrisons delivery should turn up tomos which i am quite excited about

Pasta pesto for tea tonight with veg that needs using up!

lilacclery · 23/11/2015 17:17

Brilliant going ipsos That's excellent. Our new dishwasher washes the dishes, even burnt on roast beef ones, so happy, my old one didn't even wash clean dishes!

€86 in l'occitane too Blush but this is 3 persons gifts sorted plus a lovely treat set for myself too

I brought €200 cash and came home with €35 as Christmas gifts are already budgeted for in the joint account. I did put Penneys on Credit Card but I will pay that off in next two weeks so it's ok

lilacclery · 23/11/2015 17:22

ds is 2 so I would wonder what he'd be stressed about too Grin most likely a virus that just isn't clearing.

I got €10 of diesel today as I thought that's all the cash I had turned out €25 was stuck in with a receipt. It'll do the next couple of days anyhow.
Anything exciting ordered from Morrisons girlfriend I'm making a tesco online order at the moment and have it up to €70 going through the special offer sections so will have to go home and make a list and cut that right back tonight!

Pasta with parmesan shavings for me tonight I'd say or carbonara, have a stuffed joint of pork on for everyone else though.

I'm completely hoarse so will be curling up on sofa with my big basket of clothes to be folded I'd say and going to bed early

Pointlessfan · 23/11/2015 17:49

It's been a long day. DD fell face first against the edge of a table yesterday and split her nose open. Had an ambulance ride to a&e and was there for 11 hours waiting to see ENT specialist. Got home at 5am and had to get up again at 8 to go back and see a plastic surgeon. Fortunately they are not going to do surgery but she's going to have a scar. I don't think it's sunk in yet, I'm just exhausted and have a banging headache. Just reheating last night's dinner that we never got to eat.
Had to pay for hospital parking and also bought 2 kit Kats in the hospital at 95p each - bloody rip off! Will catch up on the thread later.

SpottyTeacakes · 23/11/2015 17:57

Oh pointless how awful for you and dd!! Remember their skin is very young and heals quickly. The scar will move as she grows too so may be in a less obvious place (I've got a skin tag scar from when I was a baby it was on my cheekbone now it's just above my jaw line!).

Ipsos great news on the dw Smile

I've got to be up at five for work tomorrow yuck.

Pointlessfan · 23/11/2015 18:00

Thanks spotty, the doctor we saw today said that the scar will stay the same size bur she will grow so it will be tiny when she's older. She's not a happy girl though.

SpottyTeacakes · 23/11/2015 18:01

I bet, it's awful when they hurt themselves.

ipsos · 23/11/2015 18:07

Gosh pointless what a night you've had. So sorry to hear about the scar. Well done for managing all that. What a trouper you must be.

lilacclery · 23/11/2015 18:23

Poor pointless's dd how frightening for you both.
How did you survive on just Kitkats?
Bio oil or capsules of vitamin e oil are great for scars once it starts healing

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 23/11/2015 18:28

If it helps at all, pointless, my sister did this more than once as a child. You can't see the scar now unless you know it is there and are looking for it.

You must have both had a bit of a shock.

Off to catch up with the rest of the thread now

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/11/2015 18:39

Pointless You deserve a long sleep after all that. Poor little thing though, I bet your stomach dropped when you saw that. Yy to vit e capsules pierced open for the scar.

Ipsos I am so pleased for you, the free warranty is a bonus too. Wash wise the Bosch I had and the Miele are not too different. Cutlery racks are fabby.

Ememem84 · 23/11/2015 18:39

£27 on books for dh for Christmas.

Girlfriend36 · 23/11/2015 18:47

Oh Pointless Flowers that must have been scary and a very long night, you poor thing. My mum swears by Bio oil for scars, my dd managed to flip over her scooter when she was about 4yo and land on a road sign. She honestly could not have done it if she tried! She now has a scar on her forehead, as she gets older it def gets smaller and less noticeable.

Ipsos i have a Bosch dw and I love it Smile
