Hey guys! LSD today (45p for tea at work). Might get spendier though. My Matalan C&C Is in store so will be popping out once DD is in bed to grab that. Will try my best to resist all the beautiful Christmas stuff in there. Then got to pop and get dog food.

Am sending DM to Sainsburys for me, to get wooden play food for DD for Xmas. Hopefully if im not actually there, she won't spend too much on my behalf. Also want a little live pets mouse house thing for DN bday next week. Hoping that's in there cheaper than £20.

Casserole for tea using up all my veg. Got to pop to asda when at matalan to get a pizza for DPs shared work lunch tomorrow. It's going to be a manic evening. Can't wait to get my matalan order though. It's my Xmas stockings!!!!

SpottyTeacakes · 21/10/2015 17:47

I love German shepherds. My friends dp has been attached by three different ones though Shock

Pointlessfan · 21/10/2015 18:04

Sorry to hear that Fuzz.
Managed an NSD, returned a top to Next and did a Quidco survey for 88p so I've ended the day with £15.88 more than I started with!

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/10/2015 18:04

badders it could have been so much more expensive if you didnt have the NHS though. Its a small mercy.

ana I think he needs telling to do one.

adora Good grief do they only take cockapoos or something?. Did you bring the Bear too? or just Teddy?.

£25 on fuel but got loads of nectar points
£4 in sains, got marked down veg and 6 massive pork chops for that as well as the milk I originally went in for. Dh has speshul milk to stop him drinking 2 pints a day. I blame the excessive milk consumption of yesteryear for his diabetes.

59p for zoflora
£4.59 on wine. Healthier than milk.

Are these babies showing any sign of arriving soon?.

Badders123 · 21/10/2015 18:10

I don't have an NHS dentist fluffy.
This tooth has cost me £490 so far....

AdoraBell · 21/10/2015 18:15

Wow, three different attacks, hope it hasn't left your friend anxious.

Unfortunately some owners make a GS dangerousHmm

Hope DM doesn't over spend bing Grin

CremeEggThief · 21/10/2015 18:26

Ouch, baddersSad.

£7.70 travel, £6.40 Costa, 75p Greggs (bottle of water) and £2.99 Holland and Barrett.

SpottyTeacakes · 21/10/2015 18:27

We've decided he must have a weird smell that only GS's can smell Grin

bobblypop · 21/10/2015 18:32

evening all
spendy day Hmm

new jeans for ds2 in asda for school disco ( he has suddenly shot up and all his trousers and round his ankles!
then also purchased a tunic/dress and new knickers for myself while there ....
then as if that wasn't bad enough I have ordered some pear shaped trousers from evans (thanks for recommendations!)

I have spent a lot on clothes this month...although I haven't really spent anything on clothes for over a year ! (hence having pretty much nothing to wear to work!)

have some more money coming into account tomorrow that I wasn't expecting for another week or so , so that is a bonus! Will put some of it on credit card though.

boo for nasty dentists and non showing car buyers.

and lol at wine being healthier than milk!

Mmmm beef stew and dumplings in the slow cooker!

Sorry to read about the crap car buyers and expensive tooth problems. I cracked a tooth last year and spent almost £700 fixing it! Root canal + crown etc. No NHS dentists here :(

Initially it was a nsd. Then we popped into Sainsbury's for 1 pint of milk. And then we saw the toy sale - so ended up spending £20 on a huge, perfect toy kitchen for DSs birthday. Very pleased! It's perfect and we saved about £25. (It has come out of a seperate DS Birthday Fund so hasn't impacted our tight monthly budget)

I lost my Nectar card last week and they've sent out a new one. But theyre very very slow. So haven't been able to collect any points or use mycoupons etc. I'm keeping receipts so that when the new card is here I can get the points added on. Especially on the fuel!

AdoraBell · 21/10/2015 19:09

I saw that toy kitchen Collie great bargainGrin

Fluffy it's because GSs are viewed as being a risky breed, if aggressive they can do a lot of damage. And Teddy is the BearGrin he's huuuuge and cuddly and soppyGrin and YY to wine being healthier than milkGrin

Sorry to hear about your tooth badders

Love the sound of that dinner electrolux

babsmam · 21/10/2015 19:18

Well done Electrolux dd.

Bad news fuzz, car sellers and tooth aches.

Spent £6 in home bargain and £42 in sainsbury. The toy aisle was mental but got outstanding birthday presents needed for this month. It has been better though

Girlfriend36 · 21/10/2015 19:24

Hi all, don't post for 24 hours and there is a shiny new thread Grin

Managed a NSD again, tomos need to do a massive shop as the fridge is almost completely empty, have done well though as managed to make use of what we had for 10 days.

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/10/2015 19:25

Is he the one who thought your dh was going to throw you in the swimming pool?.

This aldi shiraz is rubbish. We've drunk the whole bottle to make sure and it's not getting better.

Pointlessfan · 21/10/2015 19:36

I'm going to make Need's Thai red curry and sweet potato soup next week, it sounds delicious! (it was on the old thread).

needastrongone · 21/10/2015 19:38

Wine IS healthier than milk, it is proven to reduce your ability to give a shit Grin

adora our neighbours have two GSD. They are very well trained, but one is nervy. They are the only breed that makes me nervous. Have no idea why. No issues at all with any form of terrier, and it's totally unreasonable!

electro You are really good and using up food, really admire that.

needastrongone · 21/10/2015 19:41

pointless It's mega easy, promise. The only thing I wouldn't have done, and that I am glad that I did, according to the recipe, was roast the onion, garlic and sweet potato, rather than sweat them, which I would have done with a soup I cobbled together. It did definitely bring a depth of flavour to the soup.

annatha · 21/10/2015 19:55

blue we had a quote of £80 from a local scrapyard but then car buyer 1 offered £250 and buyer 2 £150 so we were hoping for a bit more for it. It runs, but needs two belts and a throttle body (?) replacement that we know of, possibly more if we ran it through diagnostics. Cost will be more than the cars worth to fully fix up but we want to sell it honestly unlike the arse we bought it from but all these Facebook buyers just seem dodgy and I imagine it'll be sold on for £££ without a mention of these issues as they aren't on the MOT.

31weeksgone · 21/10/2015 20:00

Thanks for the new thread. About £7 today on goods from the bakery, but hey I'm a pregnant lady Blush and £6.57 on the cats insurance. 1 week until payday. Well, OH payday.

annatha · 21/10/2015 20:01

Adora such a shame that breeds like GS get a bad name due to irresponsible owners. My in-laws have a rottweiler and he's the softest, most gentle dog I've ever met, he's huge but really affectionate. They've had no end of problems with people having a go at them when he's off the lead (in proper dog walking places, not on the street or anything like that) and they now live in France and have to keep him muzzled at all times due to the laws there. Big softy got attacked by a Yorkshire terrier once and just stood there while it bit at him.

needastrongone · 21/10/2015 20:04

Mind you, my spaniels would drive folk insane too Smile

AdoraBell · 21/10/2015 20:40

Yes, athana and a lot of it is down to TV and films. They portray certain dogs as aggressive and, as with many things, enough people don't question what they see on film. And a bad owner can turn any dog into a dangerous animal.

We had friends in Chile who had a Doberman and a Lab. The neighbour's dogs used to attack and everyone blamed the vicious Doberman. Then I saw the Lab laying down with his snout right up to the fence snorting until the other dogs responded, and the Doberman woke up, crossed the garden, and went to see what the fuss was about. Hey presto, "your Doberman is dangerous"

Fluffy yes, that's the one. DH is learning to behave himself Hmm the trainer we had really put him in his place.

574ejones · 21/10/2015 20:48

Family and friends railcards are currently £10 off until 27th Oct. Thought we needed a new one but don't, but a bargain if you are heading out with DC this half term.

Fluffy - Grin at Shiraz.

SpottyTeacakes · 22/10/2015 06:34

Should be nsd not doing anything until swimming lessons and I've lost my voice Hmm
