Sounds good Creme!

Dh just made us all pancakes for pudding yum! Plus I do all the cooking so it's nice to have something made for me for once.

CremeEggThief · 17/10/2015 18:13

Oh I bet, Spotty. I don't begrudge myself the occasional coffee in a café or nice lunch. As they're the only times somebody ever makes me something, it's worth paying for occasionally.

Why did I do that? - just had a look on M&S website and there's two coats I like, one for £100, the other £80. Will have to have a serious think, the £80 might be a good replacement for one I bought from there ages ago. Like the colour of the £100 but it's similar to a long one I have.

I've just bought some Tesco tampons, they work out 4p each, so will be interesting to see if they're okay.

Badders123 · 17/10/2015 18:26

Co op San pro is great, and on 3 For 2 ATM!

needastrongone · 17/10/2015 18:37

pissed.com.

Been at a beer festival this afternoon, hic. Local village. Spent £20, which is fine, but now ordered pizzas as too fuddled to cook Grin

creme Your lunch sounds absolutely lovely, and totally worth it.

DD and pony had a new saddle fitted this morning, which cost us £470. Budgeted for, but still a HUGE expense, But not willing to see her bounce on her head again.

NK5BM3 · 17/10/2015 18:44

Will read in a bit, but just had to say we went to sainsburys as wanted to get petrol and we get 10x points for it... So £45 on that. £15 earlier at another petrol station. £4 at an abbey. £126 at sainsburys doing weekly shop!!!! Shock I'm going back to aldi next week. Sure we bought a bottle of wine to thank a friend for taking care of kids during half term for a day. Sure we got 2 DVDs for £13 and sure we got a 10 year guaranteed griddle pan for £20. And sure we spent £10 on a mega box of washing powder but still????!! The trolley wasn't even full. Grr. Mental.

Ememem84 · 17/10/2015 18:47

need was in my riding lesson today - one girls pony was cantering then bucked her off. I've fallen myself before but never seen anyone else come off. She was ok but it totally threw me off my game.

Hope the saddle works out for df and dpony.

CremeEggThief · 17/10/2015 18:48

Need,!it was, thank you. I'm still thinking about it now!
I 'll second Co-op S.T.s.

Thanks fluffy!

Still reeling from the £126 Sainsburys Bill....

Collieputthekettleon · 17/10/2015 19:05

ipsos sounds exciting!

Watching Location, Location, Location. It makes me want to go house hunting on Rightmove! Grin

Selling stuff on eBay at the mo and making quite a good amount! Really happy. DS started walking strangely so we took him into Brantano to get his feet measured. They haven't grown but they've become wider. Confused so, came home and bought a pair of shoes for him from eBay in the right size. I can't justify buying him brand spanking new shoes when he'll probably need another size in 6 weeks. Again. Plus they'll just get destroyed at nursery and playgroup. So we spent £6 on those.

Also bought him a numbers book for £4 as he's completely obsessed with counting from 1-10.

SpottyTeacakes · 17/10/2015 19:09

I always spend a fortune in sainsburys I don't know what it is about that place! Even if I just go in for a few bits I spend ££££

TheOnlyPink · 17/10/2015 19:27

creme your lunch sounds gorgeous. And like your thinking about never getting anything made for me! I do all cooking, mainly because I'm a sahm and that I'm better at it. But sometimes just don't want to cook!

Plumber was €100, not too terrible. Went to in-laws for the afternoon, so no other spends.

SpottyTeacakes · 17/10/2015 19:32

Same here pink. I generally enjoy cooking but OMG it gets so tedious!

annatha · 17/10/2015 19:33

Ooh need v jealous, haven't been to a beer festival in years and sadly can't see it happening anytime soon while the dcs are tiny.

Dh brought KFC home so £15 on dinner tonight. Yummy, but he'll moan when we're having cheap eats all next week. We withdrew the food money to try and be more strict so naturally he bought it on card Angry

babsmam · 17/10/2015 19:49

I like your cafe thoughts creme. Cooking gets boring and tedious so it's nice to have a treat. Much as I like cooking and baking sometimes it just becomes functional

toobreathless · 17/10/2015 20:07

Lunch out with mum and DDs today, was £14 but she paid & I got coffees later (£6)

Clarks shoes for DD1 £36! But she should wear them for a good few months as her feet aren't growing that fast at the moment- she is 4yrs.

And came home to letter telling me I have overpaid tax and to await a cheque, same as one of the previous posters for ....£306!

So a good day! (Still no blinking baby though)

blueteapot · 17/10/2015 20:24

toobreathless :D

Creme I am actually feeling a bit cyber jealous of your lunch lol. DH is making me poached eggs as we speak though so can't complain!

We do homemade 'KFC' sometimes, I would never eat in the real thing as our local one got the lowest possible hygiene rating bleurghhh. Always used M&S breaded chicken but I have since discovered the lidl frozen southern fried chicken mini fillets at £2 something a pack and they are lovely, DH actually thought I had ordered them in the last day! We use a breville halo health frier which makes lovely HM chips amongst other things, one of the best purchases we have made really. I'm pretty sure its paid for itself in terms of oven chips / takeaways already lol.

Passthecake30 · 17/10/2015 20:35

£100 ish weekly shop. Owch. Kids keep eating. ..and growing! £12 on a zombie costume, rather pay that than spend precious time trying to be inventive when I don't have an ounce of imagination in my body! £11 ds barbers.

I use smartprice panty liners and sanitary towels (11p) round the house. I use own brand ultra towels and tampons, I used to use always but they were too plasticy/perfumey. I cannot stand perfumed sanitary towels, I obsess that people can smell meBlush

Had a medium (£4) roast chicken tonight, am now reminiscing when we could get 2 meals out of it....every morsel went!

AdoraBell · 17/10/2015 20:50

One of mine has turned into an eating machine too, currently tucking into half a full size baguette of garlic bread.

NSD today, tomorrow I'll need To buy bits for packet lunches, and quite posible moré breadHmm

NK5BM3 · 17/10/2015 20:53

creme your lunch sounds great.

In the spirit of frugalling, I thought I should share that we have had our energy supply come from utility warehouse for several years now. And they have by far been the cheapest and consistently too.

You can't find them on the comparison websites but as a frugaleer I thought I should share this information. Smile

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/10/2015 21:06

pass Same here. I object to the EU putting 5% vat on them too. They are essential items.

£6.50 on beer and poppadoms. Dh bought an indian takeaway.

Ememem84 · 17/10/2015 22:07

Have just accidentally been to the shop for snacks while watching the rugby. £6. And have also accidentally somehow drunk almost a whole bottle of red wine during the second half.
Disclaimer. I went to the shop at half time. Before wine.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 17/10/2015 23:43

Went for lidl own brand towels rather than always in the end. 74p. I'm not sure if they're going to be much good.

£16 in lidl, so not too spendy.

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/10/2015 23:52

It's just cotton wool wadding with a plastic layer on the bottom. What can go wrong?.

SpottyTeacakes · 18/10/2015 06:56

Was going to be a nsd but think dd might have worms. Not seen any but she was awake crying with itchiness. Anyone recommend a cream to soothe whilst the tablets take effect? So will be washing and drying all the bedding and towels plus hoovering and damp dusting handles. Anything else? Dd had stopped sucking her thumb but she's started again Angry
