Creme they are strong antibiotics. I would advice a probiotic on top of them! Hope you feel better soon.

I'm in a bad mood tonight, so much to buy a so little funds.

Whatabout · 17/08/2015 19:04

Collie we always used to put Evap on porridge or fruit cocktail from a tin!

pink - I'm thinking coeliac and will be chatting to the dietician with that in mind. He has fairly severe asthma, eczema and hay fever so he's an allergic child.

Thanks for all the lovely comments, I'm really touched.

Frugal win - my mother in law is donating a big chunk to buying our new double buggy. We've been squirrelling for it and waiting for a bonus to pay for it and I can now put that into emergency fund instead. Phew.

Ursulatodd · 17/08/2015 19:09

collie I'm getting into home-made Bircher muesli and read this week that the original recipe used evaporated milk rather than yoghurt! spotty I know the feeling - what's top of your list? A new sofa is top of my dream list, a small bit of retailing in the utility room top of the boring list! whata I have a little scrap of a thing too and have always been told not to worry as there was no rapid decrease in weight. Hope you get answers soon. McDs on prescription?!

£41.64 on food shop at Aldi. Much more than I thought I'd spend (went in for a small top up, came out with a trolley load) but I think with another £20 I can stretch to two weeks.

SpottyTeacakes · 17/08/2015 19:16

Dd needs uniform and there'll soon be ds' pre school fees
New flooring for the kitchen and bathroom going as cheap as possible
New curtains for the sitting room

But generally I would just like to able to do something without having to 'budget' for it. I'm not getting my hair done because I've decided it's not necessary.

CremeEggThief · 17/08/2015 19:24

Spotty, believe me, I know that feeling. Thanks
I'm going into town tomorrow, so I'll have a look in Holland and Barrett for some acidophilus. Thanks for the tip. I have never even heard of these antibiotics before.

Collie, hopefully it will be a 2 year warranty. My mattress was about £125 and that had 2 years guarantee.

AuditAngel · 17/08/2015 19:28

£11 in M&S. Went in to collect DS ordered trousers, plus wanted burger cheese that I missed off the Tesco order. I also bought a lavender plant and condolences card for a friend whose MIL died. Funeral was today.

574ejones · 17/08/2015 19:36

£4.50 on parking for my new job. Feel pretty shattered now, but have managed to finish pickling my onions tonight.

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/08/2015 19:43

Creme Eating bananas and porridge oats help bowel bacteria too. They are pre-biotic. Do not ask me how I know.

It's active on vaginal bacteria too so best get a thrush tablet cheap while your out.

Dh took them recently when he had his wisdom tooth out.

fuzzpig · 17/08/2015 19:45

Lost my post earlier! Thanks for the advice re: paying cheque in - I'll make sure I have plenty of ID with me on Wednesday.

checking in again, have just had time to sit down ( see below) . I had a great and relaxing weekend , with no visitors and no spending (and no going out anywhere! so lovely ..)

We are very lucky to have a huge garden and right down the end is an overgrown wilderness which used to be a fruit patch when the last people were here but has got infested with bindweed and bramble, which we have been intending to clear this out for a couple of years .. Anyway , this year seems to have been amazing for fruit . we discovered we have greengage tree ( its never done anything in the 9 years weve been here) , elberberry and tons of sloes , Dh also said on saturday that he thought there might be afew blackcurrants down there . so yesterdau I donned my 'jungle gear' and investigated ..

Several hours later I had picked 13lbs !! ( 6kg) of blackcurrants !!. so last night and this evening I have made lots of jam, and started a couple of liters of blackcurrant schnapps ( it will take at least a year to be good) also have frozen lots.... I also picked about 4kg of tomatoes from the greenhouse with more to come - most of these will have to become sauce for the freezer and I have just come in from the salad patch with 5 cucumbers!!. (lucky I like cucumbers!)..

Phew.. theres lots of apples also (chutney here we come!) ..

Today spent £55 in sainsburys (but 30 of that was on vodka for my blackcurrants schnapps !! )

babsmam · 17/08/2015 20:49

Tell me to step away from the winter good food show site. Will cost about £150 before spending and I can't really justify it but loved the summer one.
Harrowgate is nearer but I lufs Christmas. Anyone been lucky enough to go? Is it worth it?

babsmam · 17/08/2015 20:51

Wow laska good result with the pickings

Whatabout · 17/08/2015 20:56

Laska that's fabulous! What a haul! I'm too knackered and pregnant now to pick the rest of my soft fruit so I'm leaving it to the birds!

£32 this evening on cat food, should last six weeks. Did manage to get DH to cancel his gym membership by standing over him! That's £16 a month we will be up.

I nearly bought a weekend in Bath for DHs birthday ( not until February ) but am now thinking Bologna.. Would be cheaper in fact .. Bath is soo expensive, (why?) and the weather ought to be better in Italy.. anyone been to Bologna?

AuditAngel · 17/08/2015 21:53

Just spent £39 on anne labels and shoes lanes for DS and DD1. This is necessary top ups to the store I keep for all 3 DC.

I have serious concerns about DS losing stuff at secondary so will name everything (possibly including him!).

£5.12 in Tesco as DH wanted onion rings and we needed salad. (I was trying not to buy any freezer stuff as need to defrost the freezer. I have no idea what's in it and wanted to audit and defrost)

babsmam · 17/08/2015 21:59

Rumor is sainsbury 25% off clothes from tomorrow

Oly5 · 18/08/2015 00:26

Bologna is lovely, I highly recommend! Fab food too
