Hi all, I feel your pain at summer clothes not fitting!! I seem to have expanded in the hips and bottom dept Blush seriously need to do my Davina work out dvd a bit more than once a month Grin my new floaty top from Debenhams seems to be quite good at covering the bumps though!!

Evil that is so naughty of your mil - did you say anything to her?!

It is baking hot here today, have got my summer uniform out as our normal nurse uniforms are hideous and make you sweat like a pig (euughh!) In the summer they let us wear white polo t.shirts and black shorts, it looks ridiculous (think girl guide Hmm ) but is so much cooler I don't care!

NSD today.

Day off tomos, taking my cats for their annual booster jabs and check up. Also need some sun cream for dd and some bits from the chemist...

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/06/2015 18:47

What is it with grandparents and kids hair? my mum spent ages growing my fringe out (fringes are not my friend) and my gran had it cut back in. We didnt see them for ages afterwards.

£35 petrol
£5 kiln dried sand.

Pointlessfan · 29/06/2015 20:09

Yes I'm another one who's skinny and carries weight on my tummy. It won't be helped by the pizza, pudding and glass of wine I just had! Came in under budget though, £12 Grin

I'm another who's skinny but with a tum. I only started having this tum that won't shift in the last year or 2 and that was when I turned 40. Hmm That's after 2 children, one c-section and one vbac. I'm a size 8 on the top with shrinking boobs and size 10 bottoms. Need shirts and tops to cover belly.

Today was a nsd. Received lovely bottle of champagne from one of the bosses and 2 boxes of choc. And a lovely box of Japanese cookies from a student. The Japanese are really good at presentation. The detail is amazing.

Also a big bag of hand me down uniform for my kids which is great. The m&s bag of clothes arrived and I think I will return the trousers as it's just right for dd now and they are the same size as 2 pairs that we got handed down a while back!

Love my new big pants! Grin

Peppapissinpig · 29/06/2015 20:38

£37.50 on Ynab activation. Reckon it'll pay for itself very quickly

Evilwater · 29/06/2015 21:14

As for MIL no I can't talk to her. It's a long story, and I don't have any number for her. I'd love to talk to her, but sigh.....

I've got two birthdays coming up, one for a 95 year old, and the other a three year old.
Any idears anyone, for doing it on the cheap?

girliefriend · 29/06/2015 21:22

Could you make the 95yo a cake? Otherwise pound land sometimes do some nice smellies/candles...

For the 3 yo The Works do some nice books and Poundstretchers do some nice puzzles, nice gifts for a £2-£4 budget!!

Also I get all my cards from Card WareHouse when they are on 7 for £1 offer.

Hope you have some of these shops locally!

Glad colliecat is well collie

Evil I would be angry too.

Today is an NSD, yesterday I got shopping, just under £60. MIL is ill so DH has dashed off at huge cost, last seat on the last plane always equals £££££. He used his CC and it's going to take a long time to pay as we have spent every penny we had already on the move and nothing is coming through for a couple of months.

needastrongone · 29/06/2015 22:17

evil I am not going to give any present suggestions as I am so unoriginal and useless Smile

pointless New pony is fab, but a step up definitely. Better brakes and extremely responsive, but much faster too, so it will be interesting!

NSD whoop whoop. Shit, no, forgot I paid the cleaner £20. Best £20 I ever spend a week though.

Lots of meal planning to be done, but definitely vegetarian for the next two or three days. Am borrowing a Hugh FW veggie book, and it's great for ideas, he's a touch pretentious though!

Glad colliecat is fine collie

Peppapissinpig · 30/06/2015 04:30

Adora thinking of you, must be very worrying for you all.

Adora sorry to hear that, both about MIL and cost of plane ticket.

Yesterday was sports say, took picnic, all food covered at weekend. £2.60 on an ice cream and bottle of water between end of sports day and collecting DD1. £5.60 in the bakers. Dropped the duvet in for a service wash. It is a super king, but only 4.5 tog, so they did me a deal and are charging me as a double!

I also hope Laska is ok, we are due to fly to Greece on 17/7. Yesterday DH said he wished we could cancel and go to Belgium for 2 weeks.

babsmam · 30/06/2015 06:46

Sorry to hear that about mil adora.
Need ooh new pony, sounds divine.

NSd as could not squeeze a trip to a shop if I tried. Have run out of washing powder though. Can only use Ariel due to allergies and the power hasn't been on offer for a while , the liquid is not as good. Daren't try Persil as it will be a waste if we still have a reaction.

Need to contribute to a baby pressie but can do that later in the week.

Peppapissinpig · 30/06/2015 07:06

Audit we also fly to Greece next Wed Confused

I opened our loft hatch up a couple of weeks ago and the house is cooler for it.

Well I'm not looking forward to 40 with all these tummy stories.

Will you keep the other pony need or sell?.

Adora your poor dh that must have been the longest flight ever.

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 30/06/2015 08:00

Evil I cut my brother's hair when he was 7 and I was old enough to know better. Did it with the blunt kitchen scissors. Not even the barber could sort it, he had to be sheared Grin

girliefriend · 30/06/2015 10:27

Grin MissA thats the sort of thing I would d0 to my brothers as well!! Although he did once exact revenge and scalped one of my favourite dolls Shock

Dd off school with ear ache, got drs appointment for her in a min...

girliefriend · 30/06/2015 12:38

Dr said both of dds ears are inflamed and has given ear drops for her, not sure what to do as she is meant to be going on a school trip to the Eden Project tomos. She isn't too bad in herself but am thinking it will be a really long day and is meant to be baking hot as well plus school won't give calpol....

So spends so far today

£3 on hamster museli

£19 in Morrisons, this was mostly spent on various things I needed in the chemist but also some capri suns (pack of 10 for £2) and suncream. I got the Morrisons own brand as it had a higher uva protection than Nivea, it was only £3.50. Suncream seems to have come down in price quite a lot this year.

I also got £6 off in vouchers at the till so actual spend was £13 so not bad plus Morrisons gave me another £5 off voucher which cannot be right but i just smiled and said thanks very much Wink

£3.40 in Morrisons cafe on drinks and cake for me and dd.

Was meant to take with my cats in for their annual boosters this morning but boy cat somehow realised a trip to the vets was on the cards and vanished pronto Hmm so only took girl cat. Vet said she has put on quite a bit of weight which is good as she lost lots when she was poorly recently but her mouth is beginning to look sore again have to take her back in a week. They rebooked boy cat for this afternoon so am hoping he doesn't vanish on me again!! Both cats are part of a pet plan which includes booster and annual check up so at least it didn't cost me anything today!

Peppapissinpig · 30/06/2015 12:59

£19 on swimsuit and socks from Tesco, unexpected £5 spend on swapping a duplicate CD for DS (new one more expensive than original!)
