audit Thanks for the tip... the bikinis on that site look good.. I like the Lascana ones a lot ..
So ill remember them for next time , anyway for now i have re-tried on a couple of my old ones (Panache and Lepel) and they are not so bad. (Wine makes everything look better!) so im going to take them . ..

Im going to Greece.. Pelion (mainland) .. where are you going?

Sporting - my dh works from home and like you, other than clients he hardly sees others. He's joined this business networking group which meets weekly and they've been great, both in generating business (a lot of it) as well as socialising. So they do things like Christmas parties etc.

He also goes to the pub once a week for a quiz. Which is quite a bone of contention for me occasionally when I'm grumpy (like now). I've figured that he goes to the pub about 45x a year roughly. But I don't see my friends 45x a year - and other than a couple of people I don't count my work colleagues as proper friends!! Grr.

NK5BM3 · 17/06/2015 21:12

Hair cut and colour £85. Car park £4.90. Bloody rip off (the car park, not the hair cut).

£10 aldi
£2 homebargains

AdoraBell · 17/06/2015 22:18

£39 spent today, that included a tenner on laundry detergent. I'll be trying laundry gloop once we've moved.

blueteapot · 17/06/2015 22:42

Toddler groups are £1 a family round here! £5 a time is madness - DS goes to a different one every day (we don't make them all every week!) so I'd be out over 100 quid a month where you are collie!

needastrongone · 17/06/2015 22:45

£6 - Aldi (cheated and bought pizza for tea as was going training and DS needed to make his own). Plus floor wipes.

£25, competition and training fees. Didn't need to pay the competition fee but had the cash (rare) in my purse.

I used to work from home quite a bit, but I have to say, I like the buzz of working with others, so do understand that it can be quite a lonely feeling sometimes.

Think wearing a bikini is a confidence thing? I retreated to swimsuits for years after the DC. I am a size 6/8 and didn't suffer from stretch marks etc. I still felt 'wrong' getting my mummy body out in public. DH used to think I was insane and that I should look around me. I understand.

blueteapot · 17/06/2015 22:46

There is a smoky smell in my utility room :( noticed it this morning first, while both the washer (old) and dryer (relatively new) were running. Fridge and chest freezer are also in there. Fetched a few fallen socks from behind the dryer and ran it alone, the smells still there! I thought it would be the old washing machine (which needs replacing anyway but still, I'd rather not for now!). Not sure where the smell is from. Going to let it disperse overnight then leave the utility closed for a while tomorrow with just the fridge and freezer running.. If no smoke smell, run the washer, if no smoke smell then run the tumble. Detective work Angry

Passthecake30 · 17/06/2015 22:51

70p Greggs Belgium bun plus £34 asda topping up beer, coke, juice etc. Argh. ...why can't people just drink water? ?! All good deals though.

I am also trying to get bikini/tankini ready. My moto is there is alot worse out there. ... I'll probably end up doing a zillion sit ups and then be jealous of the curvy ladies.

Laska we'll be spending the first weekend in Athens (until DH comes on the Monday) then driving about 45 minutes dopwn the coast to a little village. The kids can come and go (apart from the big road to the beach). DS and DD1 can have some freedom, not available here.

Although that does depend on what happens there in the next month.....

blueteapot · 18/06/2015 06:58

Yep ipsos we have smoke alarms that a whole engine full of fireman came to put up when moved in (free!)

DD at the moment but will sneak downstairs after and reassess. Been eyeing up washers because I just don't trust the ancient one we have (even though it may not be it's fault!). Any tips?

blueteapot · 18/06/2015 06:59

Feeding rather!

Peppapissinpig · 18/06/2015 07:11

Audit, we're also off to Greece in a few weeks. Am desperately ignoring threat that the whole country will collapse before then....

Pointlessfan · 18/06/2015 07:39

blue the fire brigade fitted our smoke alarm too. The look on DH's face when he arrived home from work to find a fire engine parked outside the hall full of firemen was a picture!

Really hoping the Snapfish order I did will turn up today otherwise not going to get to my dad in time for fathers day!! My fault for not being organised enough.

Need to get a card, a friends son a bday present and some cake or chocolate to take round to a friends house later today!! Tomos will need to do a lidl shop but food seems to be lasting quite well this week. Can't believe how much longer apples last in the fridge, I have had some in there for a month now and they still seem fine!!

SpottyTeacakes · 18/06/2015 10:16

£2.80 on posting my sisters birthday present. So expensive! That should be it for today

northender · 18/06/2015 10:47

No fire engine full of firemen fitting the smoke alarms here, disappointingly it was a middle aged man in a van employed by the fire service to do home safety assessments!

Having more stress with dd over school Sad. It's been an emotionally draining week so far but fairly frugal.

Need to send renewal forms off today for dc's passports. Hope I haven't left it too late, we go away in 8 weeks. Going to change bank accounts today to one which charges a monthly fee but includes worldwide family travel insurance, mobile phone insurance, extended warranties for any new electrical appliances and breakdown cover (inc Europe). Set against what we already pay for a couple of those things, it is a significant saving.

Have just booked rail travel and accommodation for going to London in August to get ds' chest braces fitted. I've done as well as I could, accommodation near the clinic as we have to be there at 0900 on the day. Self catering rather than hotel to keep costs down as then we won't need to eat out and we've opted for 2 nights accommodation as the train fare was much cheaper that way and it gives us a treat day out in London before the brace(s) is(are) fitted. Need to look for an insulated back pack now so that we can take food out with us and keep it (relatively) cool. Dh and I have managed between us to have the whole week off work afterwards as they have warned us that for the first few days it will be extremely painful for ds so need to make sure he stays positive and gets established with it.

Pointlessfan · 18/06/2015 16:04

NSD today, laid up with my knee again, think I might have gone back to work too soon as I am on my feet a lot. Bit down in the dumps today. Bit of cabin fever and I'm reading the most depressing book in the world about the Jewish ghettos in WW2, the news seems especially bad today too. Have almost succumbed to internet shopping but resisted!

SpottyTeacakes · 18/06/2015 16:48

Dd's logo cardigan is £24. Hence why she has one from m&s Grin

I've got a massive pan of bolognese on the go I think it might be one of my favourite easy meals Smile
