I froze dozens of courgettes last summer but they go so watery when defrosted. Not sure how I'd be able to chop them

northender · 17/06/2015 14:54

peppa I think if you defrost the courgette and then fry gently, the moisture will evaporate out and they would be fine to add to mince. I had a courgette glut last summer and roasted them or fried them before freezing.

NSD so far today

That's soooo expensive! I wouldn't pay that. I pay £2 for 1.5 hours with all you can eat cake and biscuits snacks for the dc and drinks.

CremeEggThief · 17/06/2015 16:53

Fluffy hope your cat is looking better?

Collie we are pretty rural but there's still a fair choice of groups within 15 minutes drive. Have you looked at libraries, leisure centres etc even one of the posh pubs here does a --yummy mummy- coffee morning.

babsmam · 17/06/2015 18:09

Fatface shoppers 15% off with national trust until 30 June. Full price items only I think.
NTRUSTSUM15 is the online code.

babsmam · 17/06/2015 18:09

The toddler groups round here are one pound each

Peppapissinpig · 17/06/2015 18:54

Yep Here it's £1 for a 2 hour toddler group

Laska42 · 17/06/2015 18:55

That tankini arrrived and it is going back!! The so-called underwired bra bit is nothing like and the cups are a weird shape ( or it could be my boobs) Anyway it makes me look worse than the old bikini (sigh) so am just going to wear the old one an am resigned to being a fat lump on beach Sad

However actually i think tankinis are the absolute work of the devil..

Spendy again ( although some is my holiday clothes money ive saved up especially)

Nice cream 'gypsy' top with lovely crochet yoke from Tkmaxx £19.99 and a cream cami from peacocks £3 to go under it ( will look good with my navy hareems i think )
£2.27 in Co-op on lunch
4.33 in Holland and Barrat on 2 big boxes of my favourite green tea with lemongrass for work ( buy one get one half price).. those will last me a good while

then.... £15.25 in Sainsburys on fags and wine (yes i know i shouldnt , but a bit down about the swimsuit thing .. it wont help I know

So podgy 57 year olds on the beach? Is a burkini the answer? Actually I know European women (esp Greeks and Germans ) dont seem to care so why do i so much ?

Ill be ok when i get there ..I often get a bit depressed before a holiday , Does anyone else?

SpottyTeacakes · 17/06/2015 19:11

Same here babs. It won't accept gift cards online but says I can phone, wonder if they'll honour the code over the phone.

Laska you will look fabulous! Could you get a wrap skirt/floaty top or something if you are worried?
NSD here but will have to do a quick top up shop tomorrow I think. Knee is still playing up so I'm going to see if I can get a supermarket delivery slot tomorrow to save having to walk all round the shop.
Used the slow cooker again today so that's 3 uses making it just over £4 per use so far and I expect that will keep coming down, I love it! My mum is already working out how many Xmas puddings she can make this year if she uses both mine and her own!

£5 for DD1's karate class.

My advice for cabin bags is to double check your airline's policy as they keep changing them. I bought DH one of these lightest for Easyjet, for them to change their policy, meaning that they no longer guarantee the size I bought would go in the cabin, although they did guarantee they wouldn't charge for it. However, as he was only taking a couple of days worth of clothes plus laptop (I took his stuff in cases with me) and iPad he wanted it with him. I ended up buying a Samsonite.

babsmam · 17/06/2015 20:35

i would ring up spotty as its in store too with a voucher from the latest NT magazine, its worth the price of a phone call to save 15% on FF stuff.

NSD today. Need to take a load of stuff back to BHS and do some food shopping. If we scrape the cupboards then we can last until Sunday. I need to go by Sunday as the voucher some one left for me at work runs out then.

AuditAngel · 17/06/2015 20:36

Laska my very fat 46 year old belly will be browning in a bikini in Greece. I bought 2 new ones last year after the previous ones all died the year before and I had to borrow from my MIL!

I bought from Curvissa where they do proper cup sizes, and knickers big enough not to roll down to under by c-section overhang.
