oh yes and I found £40 in my knicker drawer! (thats been there at least since last Christmas I reckon... DH usually gets an extra last minute ' cash wad' off his boss as a christmas bonus and i get some of that ..

Laska42 · 16/06/2015 23:38

we have bought Sesamae street Dvds for DGS - (2 1/2) Its quite surprising how 'hippy/ druggie' they are in their artwork .. I didnt notice that the first time round.. Anyway he loves them and they are very good for teaching letters and numbers etc ..

BTW any one remember Magic Roundabout? Now they must have been on something... Wink We also have The Clangers on DVD .. I love Clangers...) Thats whats so good about grandchildren (along with the fact you can give them back Grin.. you can get all the old stuff again! Im also enjoying reading all our old chidrens books to them - Quentin Blake, Meg and Mog etc..

AdoraBell · 17/06/2015 00:51

I remember the Mágica Roudabout Grin, they were Defo stoned or drunk.

Spent £9 odd in the súpermarket and £10 having lunch with a freind.

SpottyTeacakes · 17/06/2015 06:03

Dds birthday today. She gets to wear her own clothes to school Grin should be nsd. Got ripe bananas so will do some baking. Oh I don't have any eggs. Will have to get some.

AuditAngel · 17/06/2015 06:44

Laska I like the shirt, but I'm too fat for that style. The only clothes shop I have where I work is M&Co, I think they are expensive for poor quality. I'd rather order into theM&S Simply Food near the DC's school.

My cleaner didn't come on Monday, I now have a laundry mountain, so tonight I need to tackle that, including finding the girls' white socks (and getting them really white) for the show on Saturday.

Pointlessfan · 17/06/2015 06:51

Good find Laska!
I've just realised that going part time next year probably means I can do without any new work clothes for a while. I will probably need some shoes or boots for the winter but that's it. I reckon I'll also save a little bit on petrol. I'm desperately trying to convince myself we can afford for me to do this!

blueteapot · 17/06/2015 07:14

Pointless I am also going back part time (4 days plus 4/5ths of the oncall), been feeling very guilty about it even though the 5th day will be spent doing householdy / kids stuff which you can't put a price on!

Peppapissinpig · 17/06/2015 07:27

We're also off on hols July and decided on hand luggage to cut costs. However didn't reckon on my parents also being away so need to buy our own cabin casesConfused

Does anyone have any suggestions on cheap trolley type cases that are cabin sizedand roomy ?

Watching with interests re cabin bags. Blue I find my day off work is my busiest day.
Nice skirt, may be a trip to new look on the horizon.
Bhs didn't charge me the sale price on my dress and I was in a rush and didn't check until I got home. Will come back from work that way and sort it one day. Annoying!

Been off thread a bit but mostly a bit spendy just on a top up shop. Weekend has mostly been NSDs and am supposed to be working today but lacking a bit motivation this week. I need to get my mojo back though as no work means no cash!

Also considering a bit of a diet as my wine consumption is having an impact and I also have a pair of trainers that I bought for running currently unworn and guilt tripping me everytime I see them! Also I guess consuming less wine will be great for the budget too.

Bit down because we now can't go on holiday as DH can't get any holiday from work during the summer the earliest is late October now so pointless going as weather won't be good, so planning for next year. On the plus it'll give me time to lose weight and save up too! Feeling a bit isolated as homeworking all the time now and outside of clients I don't really see anyone. Any other homeworkers out there with tips?

Rape seed oil is supposed to be a good cheaper alternative to olive I think?

sportinguista · 17/06/2015 13:51

ipsos My DS is like that, really enthusiastic. Gave him a load of salad leaf seeds that I thought were too old to grow a couple of years ago, guess what we still have the leaves coming up every year as they grow huge and then seed themselves, he still refers to them as his seeds.

SpottyTeacakes · 17/06/2015 14:21

I have made:

Bananas flapjacks
Banana muffins (egg free)
And that lasagne

Haven't hoovered and I'm using the tumble drier Blush ds is asleep on the floor.

Nsd a success. My sister gave me a fat face voucher for my birthday and I'm going to buy their elephant trousers! Love them!

Peppapissinpig · 17/06/2015 14:39

Have bought big pack of mince and hoping it will make as many meals as poss like spag Bol, lasagne etc

Any ideas how I can pad it out? (All veg must be made invisible Confused) and def no lentils.

SpottyTeacakes · 17/06/2015 14:42
