£8 on Hotel Chocolat for DH (I blame Pointless for mentioning the Quidco deal Grin)

Peppapissinpig · 15/06/2015 13:51

Hope you're not in too much pain Pointless Hmm

SpottyTeacakes · 15/06/2015 14:08

Thanks everyone.

My hip gives way sometimes when I'm standing. I fall straight down Blush I have the hips of a 70 year old Blush

I bought a dress for the races it was £7.99! Also I accidentally stole a bag from Claire's which dd will love the shop was so ridiculous I knocked over all the displays walking in with the pushchair and it fell in the bottom. If I had a wheelchair I would have been fuming at the lay out of the place.

Pointlessfan · 15/06/2015 14:48

Oops! Sorry Peppa!
Spotty I accidentally stole a bag of compost a few weeks ago!
The painkillers seem to be doing the job but I'm very sleepy...

blueteapot · 15/06/2015 15:17

Promised DS a treat from the site shop... wheeled him all the way up there in his trike with a handle, wearing (heavier than I remember!) DD in a sling (DH forgot to leave me the pram from the boot of the car). Bloody shop was shut! At least he got a run round the playpark but I am pooped! Inadvertent money saving / exercise lol.

Oh dear, I'm only 35!!! My joints must be old before their time Sad

SpottyTeacakes · 15/06/2015 15:31

I think it's weakness in the muscles that surround them. I have bilateral hip dysplasia and so mine are really weak. I can click them in and out its my party trick Wink

Oh dear Ipsos that sounds terrible Sad your poor ds (and poor you as well!)

I didn't manage a nsd but a lsd, popped into the co-op as it was my turn to buy biscuits for work, also picked up some porridge oats spend £3.20 ish.

Have just heard that my hours have been agreed to go up Smile so will be working 30 hours a week which in theory should mean I am quite a bit better off even with more childcare and drop in tax credits. I'm hoping to have £200 more a month to play with save. Am pleased, hoping this can start after the school holidays, will speak to managers tomos Smile

Happy Birthday Spotty Cake

Girlie Does the increase make you more likely to get a mortgage in the future?.

Ipsos That sounds awful for him. Poor boy.

Pointless All knees are crap design. I don't know what nature was thinking when the human knee was designed.

£10 lidl.
£89 new microwave. Bought it off John Lewis in case this one breaks too. I seem to kill microwaves Confused

SpottyTeacakes · 15/06/2015 17:40

Did they swab ipsos?

Girlie that's great news Smile

babsmam · 15/06/2015 18:01

Good news girlie. Thinks eased up a lot for us when I went to 30 hours.
Frugal fail. Need a dress for an award ceremony and have nothing suitable . Have ordered loads from bhs in the spectacular . May need to go shopping next Monday. Unbudged for Sad

girliefriend · 15/06/2015 18:07

Fluffy yes it does, at least it will on a shared ownership property! Thats what I am hoping for anyway, it will be scary to give up the council flat but be so much nicer to have our very own home Smile Thankyou by the way for direction to the litter tray, was interesting seeing what they were saying, have been feeding it back to my mum!!

Just remembered not such a lsd as had to pay £25 deposit for dds school trip today as well!

Peppapissinpig · 15/06/2015 18:46

£30 on Nespresso capsules. Frugal win that I didn't have to pay delivery as split the order with a friend.

Cheaper capsules a false economy IME

Pointlessfan · 15/06/2015 19:11

Great news Girlie. Hope your DS is better soon Ipsos. I know what you mean about spending when you are stuck at home, the internet has kept luring me all day today! Tried to just look on MN and Pinterest though.
Used some very stale bread to make an experimental bread and butter pudding in the slow cooker, it should be ready in a minute.
The pickled cucumber is a hit btw. I just put cider vinegar in a jar with peeled garlic cloves, a few mustard seeds and a tsp each of salt and sugar. I was pleased to find a use for the cider vinegar that's been in the cupboard for ages. It's a bit sharp so I might try adding a bit more sugar.
Hoping I can go to work tomorrow.

needastrongone · 15/06/2015 20:04

Happy birthday spotty. Hope you are having a super day.

I hope your knee is ok pointless

girlie Good news about the house. Good news on the hours increase!

ipsos Hope your DS is ok, must be worrying.

£2 today for DS to buy chocolate for a stall at Explorer BBQ.

Stonking headache, so will be an early night.

CremeEggThief · 15/06/2015 20:06

Pleased for you, Girlie.
£4.70 on travel and £5.18 lunch out.
Extremely stressed about money and the impending move right now. I am not in a good place.

needastrongone · 15/06/2015 20:39

Creme - Moving is incredibly stressful, and often, incredibly expensive. Just keep a note of spends and take each day at a time re the move. I was exhausted for weeks after we moved. I am not in a rush to do it again.

CremeEggThief · 15/06/2015 20:40

Thanks Need.

blueteapot · 15/06/2015 21:53

CDH = stands for congenital dysplasia of the hip. Pointless did you injure your knee at any point? You could try a few quad strengthing exercises maybe to increase the stability? Ipsos has he had swabs confirming scarlet fever? Hope he feels better soon :(

Poor DS now has a non-specific looking rash which I suspect is viral. Some amount of calpol going on here between him and teething DD. OH brought the anbesol and calpol from home so that saved a few pennies :)

Well done girlie! Grin
