Unexpected £383 from the job I did for just one month before starting local job....am thinking it might be a pension/tax correction? Nice surprise thou. Didn't tell dp as he thinks I'm overpaid enough anywayConfused. Put it away for holiday spending money.

blueteapot · 15/06/2015 22:40

Sorry collie I misread your post, thought you didn't know what it meant lol! Teach me to skim read ;) ipsos sounds like you have things under control.

pass - woo hoo!

Can't remember who asked about old ladies hips but it's a combo of degeneration of the joint itself, muscle weakness and the fact that the hip joint sacrifices some of its stability for an increased range of movement - ball and socket with a relatively shallow 'socket'. Not that that's got anything to do with frugality lol :)

blueteapot · 15/06/2015 22:55

Well sure ipsos they'll have a wee look tomorrow and see what's there, can swab if needed :) horrible when your kids are poorly :(

SpottyTeacakes · 16/06/2015 05:39

I think it would be worth doing a swab if the antibiotics aren't hitting it.

Should be nsd off to work in a bit.

Unescorted · 16/06/2015 06:22

Pointless I will give it a try then.

Spotty Happy birthday for yesterday. I had a run around day yesterday so didn't get a chance to log on and send wishes yesterday.

Ipsos hope he recovers soon.

Pass good news. I wouldn't tell my dh either - he would spend it on bits for his bike.

I am working from home today - my car is being delivered & didn't fancy driving a car for the first time in rush hour traffic on a busy motorway. If it arrives early then I can go and watch ds in the inter schools cyclocross competition. It is working honestly!!!!

Yesterday was spendy - I dashed to the spice shop (again) and I always find things I want to try. I have also got DH to order me a spice grinder and Prague powder #1 & 2 so I can get cracking with my salami and bacon making.

Aaaargh been awake since 3 with cystitis, in agony and drinking water like it's going out of fashion..... No idea what brought that on.

Owwww.......

babsmam · 16/06/2015 06:43

Hope those with poorly people get better soon. You are doing a super job caring is so hard .

Creme good luck with the move. It is very stressful and that's what is putting me off. Well apart from money of course.

Nsd today as haven't got time to go to a shop although the first batch of clothing should start to come through.

AuditAngel · 16/06/2015 07:22

Sorry, a bit late now, but Happy Birthday Spotty

60p parking to see DS in the school's music festival, really enjoyed it. Had a coffe, but friend paid (I tried, honest)

£14 in Tesco buying lunch, lunch for today, plus some bits for packed tea on Saturday when we have a cabaret. (Tea will be provided for the kids, but not chaperones, plus, the kids, en masse, seem to never stop eating, so really packed late lunch/afternoon tea/early dinner/snacks for the journey home). Will get some more things later in week, but saw some lovely cheese straws on special offer, plus gorgeous chilli biscuits for cheese. Will get myself (not the kids) some lovely mini cheeses to have.

Yesterday:

£104 in Next on clothes for DS and another £10 in Sports Direct - all needed and have been building up a clothes budget in YNAB so it's OK. Still some budget left as he will need a suit and other things before the end of the summer.

A few quid in Sainsbury's on food.

About £4 on a music book for DD.

Avoided spending anything on me, am trying to make the most of what I've already got - am wearing a necklace today that is very pretty but I haven't put on in years.

Gave £10 to DS for cinema, he won't be back at school until September! Am going to have to manage his expectations.

Peppapissinpig · 16/06/2015 11:57

infection diagnosed and a course of antibiotics- thankfully didn't have to pay as already on a pre-paid prescription. Feeling slightly better.

£2.39 on bread & milk, but have to pay DD's £30 Brownie subs tonight have put off as long as decently possible

Hello everyone, long time no chat, it's a very hectic time here, between end of year reports and meetings at work and DH's 30th birthday party I haven't had time to even switch the PC on! Went completely over budget (Car repairs and a new bed for DS €€€) so have had to move some savings into current account (took money for DS's bed from his savings account though so it's officially his bed forever)! We have lots of food left over from the party, lots of which I've frozen, so hopefully the rest of the month can be quite frugal.
Ten days to payday.

Now going back to read what everyone's been up to.

girliefriend · 16/06/2015 17:27

Hi all, sorry Spotty missed that is was your bday! Hope you had a lovely day and ate lots of Cake

Ive just had a sausage roast for the 2nd night in a row, with my homemade gravy - stuffed now Grin all my clothes are feeling tight so am going to try and be good and not eat again before bedtime!!

Today has been a NSD Smile
