I noticed a load of grey hair tonight, really annoying!! Neither of my parents went particularly grey but me and my brother seem to have gone grey quite young Confused

Not fair

Laska42 · 03/06/2015 22:01

Ive bravely shared a couple of photos (last year on holiday) so you can see how i have my hair .. im making home made lemonade inthe second! - a bit of a holiday ritual as the place we go to has loads of lemon trees in the garden (and now you can see that yes I am old!)

Live XL 001 hair colour is my friend.... its the best ive found and leaves it in very good condition, but as its so short , it never has time to go brassy or straw-like before it s cut off again !

Laska42 · 03/06/2015 22:07

laska You look lovely. I love your hair.

Hi MrsD

Glad the work life balance is better pass

I am so grey it's untrue!! Like MissA, I am dark naturally (pale skin and blue eyes), but started to go grey in my early 30's. Now, I have to have my roots done every 4 weeks. Luckily, being rural, local hairdresser is cheap!

I am naturally very slim though, so feel the grey horrible hair is pay back for being skinny! I was very pleased to find my friends at PC thought I was in my 38 tonight, I am 43 Grin

Been so busy last few days, apologies for not keeping up. I am doing extra at work to keep up, but have finished for the week now, so can catch up with chores and this thread.

We pony trained tonight, total spends for the day £5 in training.

So many eggs to use. My chickens are working overtime. Egg recipes are gratefully received......

AuditAngel · 03/06/2015 23:12

Spotty have you ever tried taking travel sickness pills when you feel sick? I find it works for me also helps if you have a massive hangover

NK the holiday camp I use (a chain) give an early bird discount, check out their website for offers. Also, ask for a sibling discount. They can only say no. My boss booked his son a sailing course as it was cheaper than holiday club.

AuditAngel · 03/06/2015 23:17

Forgot to post my spends Blush . £25 on Lego for my great nephew's birthday (I don't feel old enough to have a great nephew. He'll be in the same school year as DD2!). Ordered from the Hut, will get a free Lego gift worth £10, hopefully that will be suitable for someone ele's birthday/Christmas.
£5 for DD1's karate lesson, plus £20 for her grading next week. Also need to renew her licence (includes club membership and insurance) £19

AdoraBell · 04/06/2015 01:34

I'm 47, Spent the first few months of this year convinced I was 48 úntil DD1 explained very slowly Blush bloody stress and I started going grey when I was 23. Hair is auburn, now with quite a lot of grey, I don't dye it. Once had a hairdressers tell me "your hair is so beautiful with all the colours, even the grey" and after I got over the comment I decided he was right about the greyGrin

I also remember Annie LennoxGrin

Today I Spent £4.40 ish on eggs, leeks and oranges. Tomorrow will cost me £6 on packed lunches because after traipsing around getting bloody art materials DH couldn't face shopping for dinner.

lilacclery · 04/06/2015 05:31

I remember Annie Lennox & I'm 32!
8 years ago I'd 3 grey hairs then I'd a very stressful job for 3 months & got about 20 more! Haven't got anymore since.

I've blonde highlights so its the black roots rather than grey that wreck my head. Rural hairdresser so not as expensive as it could be. My theory is I don't smoke, or go out & rarely drink so this is my treat.

Had hair short like laska a few years ago, now shoulder length

My wages from last week still locked in an online account, have new fob ordered but it'll be next week now.

I owe joint account €80 on top of my usual contribution so my spends weren't too bad as my car is full of diesel from this too.

Have applied for an 8k loan to do boundary wall gates etc

This week I hope to bring down my credit card debt by €200 3 times normal monthly payment. Getting there.

babsmam · 04/06/2015 06:14

Hi sorry been missing the last few days being trying to get fit and it's been dh birthday.
Tuesday £30 in Pizza Hut for birthday tea. Something In morrisons but I forget how much. £25 is dos I got cash back maybe. Blush
Yesterday 50p on a yoghurt.
Need dog food which is £28 either today or tomorrow. Also have some points coupons for £30 spend in morrisons, dam it being walking distance from work and doable at lunch time, so will get my weeken fresh stuff from there instead of sainsburys on Friday.

babsmam · 04/06/2015 06:16

Welcome back Mrs d
Laksa I remember Annie Lennox too. I have short hair with a handful for grey but don't need or want to start colours yet. Hoping to get well into my 40s before I ha to.
Colin and girlie good news.
Pass a 20 min commute is awesome. Mines about 15 mins and I love it.

AuditAngel · 04/06/2015 06:44

I'm 46 and started dyeing my hair just after having DS who is almost 11. My hair is fairly long (mid shoulder blades), and really quite grey, especially around my temples. Also, after so many years IV dyeing it, my natural brown seems so dull an dowdy. I dye close to my natural colour, but it just has a bit more vibrancy. Have to do it about once a month. needs doing again now

blueteapot · 04/06/2015 06:53

Laska the Annie Lennox look suits you! I went short short once... disaster! I have shoulder length dark brown hair, which has had increasing amounts of bright white hair through it since I was in my mid 20s (30 now). It's in desperate need of another dye job but I've never done it myself, maybe I should bite the bullet... my mum went bright white at 24 and I think finally decided to stop dying it ash blond at 50 or so. It looks brill and like she has dyed it that way lol.

£32 in asda yesterday on kids essentials (socks etc). £10 to mum to help with the booze for dad's 60th party to save her carding it when she had nearly enough cash. £12 lunch for me, mum and DS. £50 tesco delivery coming today of which 30 is food for the party. Splitting the party costs with mum as they help us out so much. Just need to get to the butchers now for some meat for it. Should otherwise be a LSD (although now I am tempted to go buy a home hair dye, any tips??)

SpottyTeacakes · 04/06/2015 06:55

Pass glad you're enjoying your new job.

NK looks like the closest to us is forty minutes away

Thanks I had a chicken and avocado wrap. Has put me off for life.

Today will be £4 for hospital parking.

lilacclery · 04/06/2015 07:15

Just googled price of my highlights to see if it's as good a deal as I thought. Seems it is 25-30% cheaper than everywhere else. And its a cosy salon at back of her house plus she does late evenings.

Spent €8.73 on timotei golden highlights shampoo & conditioner 250ml shampoo & 400ml conditioner usually get 2 400ml bottles for €4 on special offer but it hasn't come up in months & my hair looks desperate with other shampoos, got a spit from till I earned enough points for 5% off my shopping or €10 off my electricity bill.
Chose money off my electricity bill as the shop is expensive. Sper Vlu for the Irish here.

Finally a day off! Must update my finances and sort my house, do my shopping, clean out car, do the garden, clean the chickens, walk the dogs, bake. Sat browsing on Mumsnet Grin

However, the sun is shining, hooray!

NK5BM3 · 04/06/2015 09:32

I love your hair Laska! :) and of course I remember Annie Lennox. I'm not entirely sure I'm brave enough to have that hair cut, but maybe an elvin one....

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 04/06/2015 10:22

Love your hair Laska I always imagined you with short dark hair but the blonde is really nice! Grin

ItalianWiking84 · 04/06/2015 11:25

Looking good laska...
I'm 30 but also know who Annie Lennox is/was?
My hair is pitch black and no hair color ever tried refuse to stay in...
So I just stay black hi hi
Luckily I'm partly Italian and luxembourgish so I have fairly dark skin and very brown eye colors

ItalianWiking84 · 04/06/2015 11:26

Bought new slippers for dd. she needs new ones for her baptism and also bought a pair the next size up. Her food is very slim so only one brand we can use and they only sell in store in Copenhagen where we live fare from or only

Peppapissinpig · 04/06/2015 13:56

Laska your hair is lovely! I often wish I was brave enough to go really short as I have long hair and its a real PITA. But with short hair there's nothing to hide behind!
