Well I make May £63.67 under budget. We are overdrawn though so maybe I've messed up somewhere?? Hopefully it'll even out once dh has been paid.

LaChatte · 03/06/2015 09:12

Well, it's been a spendy few days here. Bits and bobs for the house, plants for the garden, summer shoes all round, a meal out, petrol and a small shop all coming to about €360. I've had to readjust the budget, it should be ok, I just hope I can avoid dipping into savings for DH's party, although it wouldn't be the end of the world if I did.

Peppapissinpig · 03/06/2015 11:40

Thanks so much Laska - have PM'd you.

Hoping for NSD today

ItalianWiking84 · 03/06/2015 11:48

Went out and feel sick. Really wasn't very nice. What a waste Sad

Peppapissinpig · 03/06/2015 13:23

Where did you go Spotty?

SpottyTeacakes · 03/06/2015 13:30

Just to the garden centre. It's usually nice but this really hasn't agreed with me

girliefriend · 03/06/2015 16:50

NSD

Saw the OT with dd this morning, was really interesting she agrees that dd does have some sensory processing difficulties and is going to write up a plan for us to hopefully help.

Worked an extra 5 hours today, keep reading the letter from Concentrix thread and its scaring me stupid Sad even though I don't think I have done anything wrong I don't trust them.

Hi MrsDeVereSmile

Well I just about managed to get the dc a slice of toast for dinner, apart from that and sitting on the loo I haven't moved from the sofa. I wish I would just be sick so I felt better!

SpottyTeacakes · 03/06/2015 19:09

Girlie I'm pleased the appt went well for you both Smile

OT= occupational therapist

Unescorted · 03/06/2015 19:39

Collie & Girlie glad you have both had fruitful appointments. I am now thinking that having information is better than waiting.

It is going to have to be NSD here for the next 10 days. I have to pay for bus fres but have no money for anything else unless dh manages to sell some stuff on eBay. All his fault for spending too much in Scotland. At least we have food in.

Pointlessfan · 03/06/2015 20:12

Spent £5.08 in Sainsburys. Only went in for milk and bananas but there were some packs of Indian snacks reduced at their sell by date so I got 2 packs for the freezer.
The 2 dresses I ordered on Monday arrived. I wasn't sure if I would like them but I do although I haven't tried them on yet. They could work out costly if they both look nice on!

northender · 03/06/2015 20:33

adora oh no, I hope you get moved, it's been a long haul already for you.
Hope things improve for you with a diagnosis collie
Welcome back MrsD
I've had another lovely day with dd today. It's been a great couple of weeks for her but makes me sad at the same time that she is such a different child when she isn't at school.
Spent £10 today on drinks, scones and ice creams (no good for the diet but vv nice!)

girliefriend · 03/06/2015 20:40

Hi MrsD Smile

Yes O.T = occupational therapy, the lady we spoke to was really nice, she said dd has a few different types of sensory issues including issues with touch, pain, stimulation, noise and something to do with using her eyes to gage her body in relation to everything (tbf most of what she was talking about went a tad over my head!) but she reckoned there is exercises etc she can give us to do which should help.

Spotty thats rubbish, what did you eat?

Unescorted good luck with 10 NSDs (would that be a thread record?!)

Laska42 · 03/06/2015 20:48

spotty hope you feel better soon

im not managing ONE NSD let alone 10!!

hair cut today .. boy it needed it .. I was frugal with my hair last month as i couldnt afford to get it done, but the hairdresser couldnt believe how much it had grown ( i have a v short spiky cut usually).. The scary thing was once it was cut i could really see how greay I was ( and its not nice grey you can leave but in patches..) so im dyeing it white blonde again this evening..

Fluffycloudland77 · 03/06/2015 21:08

£1 sandwich (vile)
£7 fish and chip dinner for us.

unescorted I am following your lead and looking at sewing machines so I can do roman blinds, We have 14 windows to cover. I'm just working out the cheapest way to do it.

Welcome back MrsD

ipsos Where do you buy your earplugs from? I use ebay, you get such a wide selection The cats obsessed with them. If I cant find them in my drawer I just look under the bed and find dozens he's lost under their batting them with his paws.

Passthecake30 · 03/06/2015 21:08

Hi ladies, been at local job 2 days now and I am loving the closeness to home. Takes 20 mins in traffic but that's fab compared to 1hr 15 £20 train journey. There is a canteen there and no local shops so I have told myself I can splurge in the canteen on Friday. Job is good, work/life balance fab.

Laska I would love to have a nice grey too. Saw a lady today with short, mostly dark hair with a lovely fringe/crown of white today. ..if your patches look similar to that I'd leave it! I'd probably have white temples/horns!

Laska42 · 03/06/2015 21:17

sadly not pass .. anyway its done now.. am sporting the old Annie Lennox look.. (if you are old enough to rememeber..) people say it suits me and its easy to maintain..

NK5BM3 · 03/06/2015 21:20

At summer camp for the kids they have all sorts. I think a lot depends in the facilities they can get hold of so the one we go to has a pool (it's a private school) so they do swimming every day. well at least that was the schedule last summer.

This summer they've changed owners and gone with a chain and guess what. It's gone up in price. Like 100% increase. So last year ds did 2 weeks and it was something like £200. This year with dd it'll be £800 because the cost of each week has gone up to £180 per child! So I said to dh that we can only do one week. And he will have to do take them for a week. It's mad. Surely we can go to the med with that?! Or somewhere anyway.

If joy google summer camp it's all over the country. You can check what they do and how much!

Nsd

Pointlessfan · 03/06/2015 21:21

Pleased you are enjoying your new job, Pass the shorter journey will make a huge difference.

NK5BM3 · 03/06/2015 21:23

I have a lot of grey and a friend managed to grow it out at 41. I'm the same age but v dark haired so it looks really hideous. I don't think I'm mentally ready to go grey just yet. Hmm so it's off to the hairdressers soon to get it dyed and cut. It's been more than 8 weeks and it's already been through 1 bottle at home.

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 03/06/2015 21:40

I am 29 and hugely grey, have naturally very dark brown almost black hair ...am in despair as to what to do about it, HATE the grey but it grows back in so quickly I only get c.2.5 weeks max before there's roots that I can see and about 4 weeks before there's roots others can see.

It's grey at temples and along parting Sad Ironically it would do me good at work as I keep getting comments on how young I look (am very short).
