I tried keeping ice cream cold in a cool box with ice packs, it went melty at the stick end.

AuditAngel · 24/05/2015 21:08

Lovely day out at the science museum. First we went into a butterfly experience at the Natural history museum. A family ticket was £22, I spent about 20 minutes with a butterfly on my trousers (bottom of course so I couldn't see it! Had 2 at one point). DH paid. Also bought DC a butterfly sticker book £5.

"Donation" of £20 for science museum. Supposed to be voluntary, but someone is standing over you! I paid for this. Drinks at the museum plus 2 portions if potato skins £28 (DH paid).

2 bottles of water £3.40

We took some picnic food, but drinks are so heavy to carry.

Home for stew.

makeawish2 · 24/05/2015 21:08

They look ipsos !! Worth getting a few ..for (hopefully) more hot days :- ). And healthy using apple juice!! Have to say I'm addicted to Iceland's (non healthy) nobbly bobbly lollies.large multipacks.. I ate most of them in a few days Blush

makeawish2 · 24/05/2015 21:10

Thats a shame fluffy about the ice creams...was hoping it would have stayed frozen for a while. Audit that sounds a great day out :).

Peppapissinpig · 24/05/2015 21:19

1st NSD of the month ??

makeawish2 · 24/05/2015 21:22

Thats good peppa :-). Its hard isn't it having a nsd. Things always seem to pop up

Peppapissinpig · 24/05/2015 21:32

I just don't know where to start or where it all goes. Have tried several times to do spreadsheets but never maintain them. It always seems to be the random things that drain our money. Eg £65 school camp, £50 brownie camp

Pointlessfan · 24/05/2015 21:32

Bad luck about the iPad Fluffy hope you can get it fixed.
I've had a really boring day but did get a few bits we needed in cheap shops in town, spent about £15 in total including 10 birthday cards for £1 in Card Factory - just got a stock of kids' ones.

Unescorted · 24/05/2015 21:32

Evening All - I have been distracted by watching the boy track North across Scotland. He has been over taken by most people - but a lot are dropping out. Possibly because their ego's won't allow them to be beaten by a 10yo boy, even if the boy had a day head start. A lot of teh chasing pack have gone out really hard.

I spent 4.70 on the pub for me and DD as we wanted to see the art exhibition they were hosting. The lad who runs the pub is new in - and seems to be making it into a lovely mellow place. Proper Sunday afternoon with the papers and a pint place.

TeWiSavesTheDay · 24/05/2015 21:40

Italian - I'm so sorry for your friend, and glad that you are there for her.

Make - hope my cats do the same!

petrol and travel sickness pills so far this weekend. Need to do a reccie at Ikea tomorrow so will have to stay strong!

makeawish2 · 24/05/2015 21:45

Peppa..I have so many 'systems' I've overcomplicated everything..lol.. I bought ynab which I love but need to learn more about it...I also write everything down on monthly columned list..which includes food..electric..gas..petrol.car repairs..home & garden..and yearly work out the average spends per group to forecast the next year...I bore my friends!! Lol..

Pointless those cards were a bargain..I must get to the card factory (and close my eyes walking past the works/and all clothes shops)..

Unescorted that sounds a lovely chilling day :-). Pre ds's I used to enjoy lazy Sunday breakfast in a nice cafe with the papers..and Sunday afternoon a glass of wine and a game of pool at the local...

Peppapissinpig · 24/05/2015 21:49

Thanks Wish. YNAB ?

Fluffy that's so annoying about your iPad, can you at least back up the info? I smashed my iPhone when the packers were in, doing too many things at once and it ended up on the stone floor face down instead of the worksurface. It still worked so I did a sync but now the PC is packed and I still don't the info I need for a Dr appointment.

Peppa it's an app, You Need A Budget, no idea what it costs or whose it is as I don't have it.

Another NSD for me, DH has gone out the get petrol and try to get a couple of bits in the supermarket, if they are still open

Will try to catch up properly later.

makeawish2 · 24/05/2015 22:10

Peppa..ynab/you need a budget is an amazing bit of software...u can read about it.u can get one months free trial..(its on the steam website usually for about £30..I was very patient and waited a year to buy it in the steam sale..it is very comprehensive and ensures u allocate money for everything including yearly expenses ..I'm not good at explaining it but lots of info avail.. Ipsos well done on the junior isa..

Collie not sure if your dr has suggested referring you to a pain clinic to help with managing the pain..or for them to determine what would help best?

girliefriend · 24/05/2015 22:50

When my back was playing me up I found you could self refer to the physio, she gave me some exercises to do and said it was common in women who had a c.section (dd was an emcs) to suffer with back trouble. I have a pilates dvd with some exercises very similar to the ones the physio gave me to do that I get out when my back starts playing me up!!

fluffy fingers x your ipad can be fixed, I would be gutted, I love mine too!

£7 ice creams, £7 slot machines. Dp spent about £12 in there too as was as hooked as ds on wanting to get a mega bar of choc out of the 2p machines. They did, but may as well have bought one in tescos! Never mind, kids aren't having many treats this half term as we're workingSad

SpottyTeacakes · 25/05/2015 02:13

Collie I don't know about your medical conditions but my physio told me to never to yoga but Pilates are great. Pilates help you strengthen whereas yoga is stretching which would be really bad for me as my joints are already screwed.

This weekend was a mixed bag thought it would be spendy but wasn't really. I filled car with diesel for our day trip of 200 miles. We went for the 'free' breakfast & left after 1 hour without being fed, dh purchased breakfast rolls & on way home some chips for him & kiddies. I had the burger from kids meal dd didn't want.

Sat ate lunch out after last swimming lesson dd didn't eat much so her chicken will go in special fried rice tomo, ds' baby bowl was free so all three of us are for €15.

Did food shopping €78 budget is ;€140 but this is run down the cupboards week. Hopefully won't spend anymore.

Takeaway last night €22.50
Presents for 3 kids birthdays €30, well spend all 3 loved their pressies & kids had a ball at playcentre for birthday party. Win win

Wrecked after weekend!
