NSD. Brought food into work. V busy day today. Am knackered. This prep for our version of ofsted is unbelievable. I have a meeting set up on Thursday. Heads will roll. Argh.

NK5BM3 · 19/01/2015 19:01

Good luck spotty. And girlie - hope the meds work soon.

Iamnotanugget · 19/01/2015 19:18

Fantastic news about your mortgages pointless and jones. I think fixes rates do have some benefits but it's frustrating over paying like that. Our mortgage is about £300 less than it used to be even though we owe more money now!

£14.99 on bits we didn't get from Tesco, playgroup and long handled duster as cobwebs are making me Blush now.

Hope things pick up NK, girlie and spotty.

Iamnotanugget · 19/01/2015 19:23

Advert has just flashed up which has reminded me I spent £70ish in House of Fraser Sale Last Night but I desperately need a new purse and over the years I realised cheapy ones are a false economy so I've picked 3 as it's free delivery when you spend £50. I only need 1 so the other 2 are going back as it's free returns.

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 19/01/2015 19:26

gone a bit over budget this week...

sat £14 in Aldi, £3.50 in Sainsburys and £36 on night out..

Sun nsd

today £11 in primark (much needed pants and a minion top For dd2) 59p charity shop (book for dd1 she loves and always wants to borrow from library and gets upset when we return!) £9 Poundland (bath toys, fruit flakes, toothpaste, polos, lunch pots and lightbulbs) but upgraded dp phone so is £5 less per month.

total spent this week (excluding budgeted amount for nights out) £76.59 Blush gone £11 over budget and still have dd GB and busfare to pay. so other than those I must not spend till Thursday...

RobinEllacott · 19/01/2015 19:30

NSD - hurrah. Hoping for another tomorrow.

MissMysticFalls · 19/01/2015 19:42

Bad news: tax bill is a whopper! Having to borrow money from DM to be my "interest free overdraft" so I can pay it while I wait until I get paid by clients.
And no more money coming in from clients until at least end of February. Got just enough money (with DM's loan) to cover my expected outgoings.

Good news: yesterday was a NSD, and the homemade cake in place of a bottle of wine or flowers went down well with brother-in-law's family when we visited for the day. Also, the garage fixed the noise from the steering (!) and some other minor things for under £100 and has said if we get the windscreen wipers fixed we should pass the MOT next month.

DS's birthday this weekend and luckily got his presents sorted and cheaply. Should be able to make the family party tea quite cheaply and we're not at the party bag age yet (3) so his cousins can make do with a balloon and a piece of cake.

Does anyone feel like they get closer to their DP/DH when they have to get serious about finances? I find that we talk a lot more and make decisions together when money is tight - otherwise we tend to do our own thing a bit.

AuditAngel · 19/01/2015 21:04

Yesterday 65p on sweets for DD1 at the pool as she didn't like the ones I bought on Friday (she likes them enough to pinch some from her sister though).

Today NSD, but mainly because I got a panic call from my mum, my dad died last night. Rushed over there, but nothing could be done. Mum, sister and her fiancé currently staying with us.

fuzzpig · 19/01/2015 21:08

Haven't updated lately, still ill. Doctors tomorrow.

Here's my last three days... at least I've not really spent much myself as I've barely left the house!

17/1
£23.20 Chinese takeaway... DH's idea but I didn't even try and say no :o that's two weekends in a row which even for us is a lot.

18/1
£50.13 Tesco weekly delivery. Quite a lot was laundry stuff.

19/1
£7.97 DH in Coop
£1.50 Nail varnish remover

fuzzpig · 19/01/2015 21:09

Thanks Thanks AuditAngel. I'm so sorry, what a horrible shock.

Good luck with the interview Spotty. Hope you get it.

I put in a bid for some ski gloves on Ebay last night, hoping to be able to keep cycling in cold weather if I can finally find the right gloves. Auction ends tonight so this won't be NSD if I win. (May not be NSD anyway as I need to top up the Oyster card. )

needastrongone · 20/01/2015 08:13

Audit Flowers What horrible, horrible news. I don't do well with words in times like these, but my thoughts are with you.

Good luck spotty

Should be a NSD at the very worst.
