Me too!

NK5BM3 · 15/01/2015 22:03

Hello everyone! Thanks fluffy.

Girlie - £7 is a bargain! Where is this? I'm in the south east and the grotty one that's part of a large chain (well, grotty according to tripadvisor, 'tired' according to dh who brought ds to another party there recently) is going to cost £10.75 for a game, shoes, food.

Another one that's recently opened up has a list price of £12.75 ....!

Laska42 · 15/01/2015 22:03

I just e-rposted my Spanish Tortilla recipe on the frugal recipe thread (which I reckon we should all support ) if anyone interested in making it ..

Laska42 · 15/01/2015 22:05

"e-rposted"..= re-posted = sorry, fat fingers! (or Winefingers Blush)

girliefriend · 15/01/2015 22:12

Thats in South West and called Hollywood Bowl NK5 link although on checking it was £7.95 per child and only for one game (it must have just felt like 2 Wink)

Thanks for the new fred Fluffy

CremeEggThief · 15/01/2015 22:13

Wow, part deux already!
Thanks FluffySmile

Passthecake30 · 15/01/2015 22:27

Thanks!

Found a similar job to my old one in another local authority. ..will apply.

fuzzpig · 15/01/2015 23:40

Thanks for the thread fluffy!

Laska the tortilla recipe sounds gorgeous. Can I ask though, the potatoes - do you mean you cut raw potatoes and cook them in the pan with the onions? Or is it that they're already cooked when you do that?

Robin, so sorry about your colleague, how awful :( Thanks

Today:
15/1
£3.85 bus fares - had to do school run by bus as I hurt my foot!
£14.74 Wilko - DH popped in for birthday party presents and got loads (as well as sweets and drinks) - need to divide the gifts up as some can be put aside for other parties.
£5 smiggle - as above. Uber sale in there ATM, tempted to stock up for DCs' party bags (June/August) if the sale is still on next time I'm in town (can't go ATM as not well).

mortil2 · 15/01/2015 23:48

Spent 7 pounds in pound land
All my cleaning stuff (and dog treats)

SpottyTeacakes · 16/01/2015 06:55

Should be lsd at least. Have a hospital appt £4 parking unless I park at tesco and walk over. This will depend on weather/time/how much pain I'm in

SpottyTeacakes · 16/01/2015 06:55

Thanks fluffy Smile

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 16/01/2015 06:58

We booked ds1 5th bday party for August at beg Jan as was half price if paid in full so £99 for 25children for Spiderman bouncy castle party Inc hot food n squash n ice lollies at local play centre.

We have had all prev parties at home in garden but 1st yr of school thought he could have big party and anymore than 10 in garden n traipsing in n out my house is stressful esp as parents bring toddler sibling as see no issue as its a home party where as for a booked place I can put on invites we are restricted to numbers.

Morning! I am still reading and lurking.
Last night I meal planned for the next 4-5 days, stuck it all in to mysupermarket and it came out under £26, including milk, fruit pots for DD, a few luxuries etc. I may even sneak in a bottle of wine it's so cheap!
Off to Aldi I go then. Hopefully no other spends today.
Happy Friday all

babsmam · 16/01/2015 07:58

yesterday spent £30 in Iceland and £10 in Aldi £4.50 in sainsbury should be enough food to last the week, also included a few treats - yoyo bears with the new cards in and some crisps from Aldi Grin

dd1 isn't very well today and off school so not sure if I will be going out tonight... will have to see how she is later.

Thanks for everyone going through hard times at the moment.

lilacclery · 16/01/2015 09:53

collie I'm also in the same boat with clothes, my aim is to lose the excess weight first and I'm away in April for a weekend by myself so I intend to buy a few staples then. I've fallen into habit at work of jeans(same pair) 3 days and trackies other 2 days which is fine as we've a very laidback dress code but does nothing for my self esteem. Weight is starting to move due to removal of Implanon which made it static.

Today is a NSD, was going to go to butchers but left pin for new card at home so will leave it until tomorrow instead.

fuzzpig · 16/01/2015 10:10

I bet none of you are as frumpy as me! I just don't see the point in updating my wardrobe yet as I'm gradually slimming (supposedly anyway) so I'm wearing the life out of my old stuff for the moment.

lilacclery · 16/01/2015 10:16

I've got long sleeved primark black top on today for a change with a sleeveless cream cardigan that buttons at the neck and flows open then with blue jeans and desert sand boots - trendy isn't the word!!
Have been eyeing up boots with sheepskin lining on aliexpress though, they will be bought when I can afford them on not on credit card.

needastrongone · 16/01/2015 10:19

Will post my spends later as I will have a bit of a spendy day I think.

In completely irrelevant news, I have finally blown up at DH (I am very tolerant generally) and his complete lack of tidiness and (to my mind) thought around the house. Yes, he works a lot more hours than I do, so I don't mind picking up the slack to quite a large degree, but starting to get really pi**ed of with cups left everywhere, wet towels on the bed, milk out, tea bags in sink me being the only one to feed the dogs or top up water bowls and the like. Or does that sound petty? He's lovely and all, but so damn untidy. Smile

As I get older I care less about fashion, so seem to buy things that are classic, but will hardly set the fashion world on fire.

needastrongone · 16/01/2015 10:20

Thank you for the new thread fluffy

And Laska, I love love love your recipes!
