Another nsd, ended up staying on late at work due to an emergency with a patient, couldn't be helped but means I will have to pay additional childcare.

Working extra tomos to put in the Christmas pot.

Pass I am really trying to think about what dd liked age 5 and its struggle - it was only 3 years ago Shock Blush Has she got things like a scooter or roller skates? Also I think around that age playmobil and sylvainain families started to get quite popular, along with bloody moshi monsters. Aqua beads are alright and not too messy Wink

Dd is full of cold, am hoping she is not going to get too poorly with it as not a good week for her to be off school.

confusedandemployed · 01/12/2014 19:53

Spotty hope your DD is OK. Mine has a chest infection too, we were at the doc's this morning. Little madam doesn't seem to be settling down to sleep it off though Angry

£5.75 today on sweet potato and some custards, plus a coffee and some fruit toast at the Asda cafe. Not bad.

NPower took an unauthorised £124 from our account today (NPower are BASTARDS), but I rang the bank and they refunded it, plus have put a block on NPower touching our account again. So that was a win. There was a time when I'd have just shrugged my shoulders and let it go.

needastrongone · 01/12/2014 19:54

DD at 5 liked the animal hospital figures, and My Little Pony. Any small figures really, that she could weave into a story and talk to. Seemed to be a popular thing when she had friends round too, role playing with the little figures.

574ejones · 01/12/2014 20:00

LSD today on food and spent my £5 Tesco Orchard voucher on finest meat. Yay for December!

SpottyTeacakes · 01/12/2014 20:03

Dd's in bed. She's asthmatic too. Chest infections seem to wipe them out more than ear infections etc (or do with dd). Her lips are all cracked, she's pale, her skin around her nose is sore and she's only eaten two biscuits all day. Oh and an advent chocolate Grin hope your dd makes a quick recovery.

confusedandemployed · 01/12/2014 20:08

Sad your poor DD. Mine is completely fine, save for an awful productive cough so save your sympathy Wink. She was poorly yesterday and off her food, but she seems to have started fighting it off herself before getting the penicillin.

Sixforgold · 01/12/2014 20:14

Get well soons for all the poorly little ones :) so horrible when they're unwell, especially if it stops them sleeping.

£15 food shopping (including a few Christmas treats - advocaat and mince pies!) and £25 on stamps Shock !!

A bit spendy today.
£3 bus to and from work as I was still feeling a bit ill to walk
£1 on a bunch of bananas
£1 crumpets
£2.30 sandwich
£9.60 on some groceries

We over shopped last week so I am going to do a cupboard audit and see how far we can go this week without a major shop.

LSD - £7.50 on lunch with an old friend. Free dinner at a meeting I had to go to.

Poor little DD has a cold that won't go away - she was very sorry for herself having to do PE at school today, but she's not ill enough to keep her off school, so we were hard-hearted and sent her in.

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 01/12/2014 21:27

Spendy today, got presents for more family. Have booked myself a ticket to see Frozen tomorrow Grin plan to have a coffee in the cinema and see what all the fuss is about!

AdoraBell · 01/12/2014 21:30

Spendy day here.

Started off with £6.50 on feathers, then -
Roads £1.20 as I went into town
Coffee £1.50
Xmas gift on behalf of DSis, £4
Stocking fillers £22, still need a couple of bits
Supermarket £18

Fuzzpig sorry, yes the feathers are for a costume. DD1 didn't need the other paint colours after all but does £5 for pizza in school tomorrow, because everyone knows parents have money dripping from their fingersHmm

Still need to get a token gift for DH, will get him a proper gift while in the UK.

Passthecake30 · 01/12/2014 21:46

Another one with a poorly dd off school. ...she has a cough and cold, and unlike ds who gets it on his chest hers are always very snotty/productive at least. Went tescos as she "needed" ravioli and more tissues (one blow and she won't reuse). She has to be better tomorrow as I have meetings and it won't look good with redundancies coming.

fuzzpig · 01/12/2014 22:43

Adora the money requests seem endless don't they! There's always something. In fact you've reminded me DD still needs a tracksuit top for PE. I should use an old £5 tesco giftcard if I can haul my arse over there.

We've also agreed that DD needs a new school bag as her cheap one is falling apart (thanks Argos!) but that can easily be a Christmas present... I've found an amazing Totoro one which she will be in love with.

Spendy day today as doing some present shopping and made the mistake of Giardinos for lunch Hmm. Also, although I am not tracking DH's spends, it was a bit spendy for him too - bus pass had run out, then due to work craziness he had to take DCs back to work with him after school, which means bus fare for them, a magazine each as entertainment and ready meals for dinner!

£7.50 card game (not sure if that's coming out of my 'pocket money' or my Xmas/birthday money from my GM, but either way it's accounted for)
£4.30 little einsteins DVD for DS for Xmas
£3.50 bus
£9.85 Lunch
£17 Thorntons (should really go back to £1 advent calendars next year... then I won't be tempted by other chocolate in the shop! Blush)
£6.87 Milkshake x2 when I briefly met DH before I started work :)
£17.70 Calcifer tshirt for DS at Xmas, including shipping - never spent that much on one but OMG he will love it and it should be baggy so hoping it'll last well!

SpottyTeacakes · 02/12/2014 04:53

Enjoy MissA!!

Should be a nsd I'm off to work in an hour.

574ejones · 02/12/2014 06:21

Fuzzpig where did you get the Calcifer t shirt? I love Howl's Moving Castle!

fuzzpig · 02/12/2014 07:05

It was on teetee.eu but it's one of those sites where they only put it up for 24/48hrs and I think the time ran out already :( There's another site called teefury which does similar.

redbubble has loads of anime designs although it's American so not sure if you'd get it here by Xmas!

And a fellow ghibli fan :o DD has Kiki's delivery service on DVD as one of her presents this year.

RobinEllacott · 02/12/2014 07:09

I posted too soon yesterday - £30 on Christmas decorations and £160 on Christmas presents online just before bedtime, so a very spendy day. We've done everyone except DH's brother and my god-children, though, so feeling quite pleased with myself.

Just bought very last of the Christmas presents, DH will sort MIL and our goddaughter on Sat, he always buys theirs for some reason! I will wait until online purchases arrive, have a mammoth wrapping session on Sunday and post it all on Monday. Xmas cards are about half wriiten, hoping to finish those today and post tomorrow. I just want to be at that stage where I can sit back, relax and know it's all been done.

Oh no collie hope you're ok now! I am Envy of your DH - we've decided our once in a lifetime trip would be Japan. I am really desperate to see the two most recent ghibli films (princess kaguya and when marnie was there) but can't find uk release dates yet.

MissA you're doing brilliantly, I can't believe you're so organised after what you've been through lately! How are you feeling?

confusedandemployed · 02/12/2014 12:11

MissA I am in awe. I still have most of mine to do.
Collie hope you're feeling better.
£3.49 on lunch and milk for work today. I also need to get veg at lunchtime, so off to the market. I have a budget of £8.50 and I need to get enough to last us til Sunday. Should be quite easy I hope!

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/12/2014 12:13

It's a good job you fainted at the gp & not in the street. I hope they know why it happened.

I sat in bed for a week after a minor op MissA, GA makes me feel like I've been drugged.

NSD. I bought shampoo and conditioner from boots but used points from all the stuff I bought at the weekend to pay for that & had a coupon for a free pizza.
