Brinner is when you have breakfast for dinner. Ie a full English

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/12/2014 19:47

£38 on food shopping and some nice marked down flowers for the table.

£15 petrol.

Got my £75 cashback cheque off plusnet, I'm thinking of having a moan to old suppliers of my bb to see if they will refund some of the £42 I had to pay to leave contract early. It won't cost me anything to go to the ombudsman.

Ohhelp email the ceo, that's shocking service. See how much they give you Wink

I hope MrSpotty comes back soon, happy wife, happy life.

I think some people use wrights cake mixes in sc Need

They took your money, didnt supply the order, cost you money in interest & kept you on the phone for nearly an hour.

No need to feel guilty. They don't kick a kitten for each goodwill payment offered Smile

Yesterday
18/12
£1.15 drink/snack for me and DS (discovered the social club is sooo much cheaper than the cafe - might stick to that for our weekly treat now!)
£13.75 t-shirt for DH's birthday next month
£8.90 onesie for DD
£5.95 knickers for stocking
(Really hoping the last two arrive in time. I was an idiot not ordering them sooner!)

I still went to breakfast as planned but my friend insisted on paying as a belated birthday treat which was brilliant :)

I don't think I've ever been happier that it's the end of term. Exhausted doesn't begin to describe it!

RobinEllacott · 19/12/2014 08:19

LSD yesterday - £8 on lunch but nothing else. Did a bit of online browsing but didn't actually buy anything. I'm sorely tempted by the Pure Collection sale: they have some lovely things.

trainersandaches · 19/12/2014 08:40

NSD for me yesterday - works Christmas do so I enjoyed the free food and wine! Early payday today too...

£2.40 bus fares.
£20.50 on meal and drinks with old work colleagues.
£3 DS pocket money.
£87.90 total.

NSD today Grin.

SpottyTeacakes · 19/12/2014 17:26

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/12/2014 17:37

£4 3 packs of tesco party food

£8 pink baubles pound stretcher
£4 co-ordinating dark pink bead garland & icicle baubles asda
£3.75 pink sparkly tree topper & silver baubles tesco.

The second Christmas tree theme is "Barbie, the homemaker years". I just need led hut to have a sale on Christmas tree lights & it's finished.

Spotty that's awful, why is it going off?

SpottyTeacakes · 19/12/2014 18:01

Oh it always does where we live. Was off for 24 hours solid last Christmas Eve. Today it was only two hours then it's gone off for five/ten minutes a couple of times since. 'Tis the wind Hmm

girliefriend · 19/12/2014 18:23

Right spent £65 in morrisons but had £35 of vouchers so actually spent £30!!! Felt like I was robbing them walking out with a shopping trolley full of goodies for that Grin

Also spent £45 filling the car up.

Going to a kids Christmas party in a min, should be fun Hmm

Can I join? Been haemorraging money over the last 6 weeks and need to rein it in. I've not even started the Christmas shopping yet. Can probably get away with doing that for under £50 tomorrow though. Then hopefully can get away with NSD or LSDs for the rest of the month. Followed by very frugal Jan, Feb and March.

NowBringUsSomeFuzzpiggyPudding · 19/12/2014 22:32

19/12
£2 bus
£3.84 breakfast
£3 present for friend
£28 dress for DD - taking it out of money my parents have given me and will wrap it from them. Would not normally spend so much on one dress but she absolutely fell in love with it a while ago.

DH got dinner etc at coop though, admittedly he only offered because I was really ill today, still I think I'll need to ask him to start writing his spends too in the new year. It's certainly helping me (Christmas related spending aside...) :)

lilacclery · 20/12/2014 07:22

Just cancelled my Tesco order for 23rd because I don't really need €50 of groceries then & that's what I need to spend to avail of free delivery. We need a few bits today so will go to town today instead. Have a €20 voucher for super valu & €10 for TTesco so will use both of those plus €10 for butchers that I saved & hopefully not spend much more on groceries. Have last of presents to get also.

SpottyTeacakes · 20/12/2014 07:36

We're doing some last minute shopping today too. That's an annoying min spend I'm sure tesco is £25 here.

NowBringUsSomeFuzzpiggyPudding · 20/12/2014 08:17

Welcome rafa! Good luck with your Xmas shopping today :) I'm hoping to step it up a bit frugality-wise after Xmas too.

NowBringUsSomeFuzzpiggyPudding · 20/12/2014 08:19

I wonder if it's a different minimum spend depending on whether you have a delivery saver plan? It was £40 but now it's £25 for us.

Thats the minimum spend in Ireland for delivery pass. It was easier to make it up before because ds was on formula which was €11.50 so I could use that to bulk up order.

Dh has agreed to do some of the bits that I can't do with kids in tow after an argumentdiscussion! I'm just succumbing to a cold so I was fairly irate! Taking day & night nurse capsules since last night so hopefully will conquer it soon.

I came across a chocolate suicide recipe this week, choc cookie dough on base, Oreo cookies layered on top topped with brownie batter so that's my Christmas dessert & trifle!

Nigellas ice cream cake recipe sounds good too, butterscotch sauce is the business

Yesterday was a nsd until I got a fried chicken supper for us, this was from a cash gift at work so I'm ok with that. It was delicious. And supper for 2 fed 3 adults & 2 kids for €14 plus there's leftovers for dogs tonight too.

SpottyTeacakes · 20/12/2014 11:59

I just got one of those elc keyboard/microphone/drum things with stool for £10. Our elc is closing and I got the display one. Pleased with my bargain.
