MissA when I read the first like about the pain I was going to suggest trapped wind! Can you drink? Peppermint tea is meant to be good. I can't believe you've had this all your life! At least the throat tube is out now that must be a relief.

needastrongone · 22/11/2014 18:53

MissA - good to see you here after the operation. You have come so far. It's bound to be painful and sore, so soon after the operation, and there may be more tough days ahead, but hang in there Smile

Glad the day went well spotty (Mrs Spotty!!)

Good that you have a lovely birthday girlie

We are having a take away tonight, had a table booked at a local restaurant but we are all knackered!!

Been a touch spendy, but mainly Christmas pressies. I have bought teenage (15) DS a 4x4 off road experience for Xmas, instead of a pile of plastic crap. Also a portable charger for his phone, a punch bag laundry bag and a christmas jumper!!

Some extra bits of posh stuff from M&S with vouchers, those bits you get at Christmas only. Lovely biscuits, chocolates, etc.

And two One Direction advent calenders from the pound shop for the DC as a joke, they are DISGUSTED!!!! Grin

We get paid Tuesday, but I am on course to save that extra £250 for the MOT for the horse box, in addition to saving £750 for my other pots of 'things I need to save for'.

Also bought DH some Black Label on the pre Black Friday deals from Amazon for a good price of £19.

Feeling quite organised Smile

needastrongone · 22/11/2014 18:55

gripe water worked for DS!!!

NK5BM3 · 22/11/2014 20:21

£74 at sainsburys. Shock Think it would have been under £40 at Aldis argh. Did buy stuff that would not have been sold in Aldi so I guess that saved some time and effort?

Then had drinks at pub after a friends child's birthday. That was nice as hadn't caught up with them for a long time.... Dh paid for those, so I don't know how much. Maybe £20?

NK5BM3 · 22/11/2014 20:22

Oh and good luck MissA for your.. Wind. Grin I would second peppermint tea. That's what they told us to drink post baby.... Xx

LL12 · 22/11/2014 20:33

Fennel tea is good for wind

Iamnotanugget · 22/11/2014 21:12

£11 on nappies that I'll collect from Boots tomorrow. Getting about 40p cashback but more importantly they are one of the 12 retailers I need to visit to get a £50 bonus from quidco.

Dh and I were very tempted by take away buy I cooked.

SpottyTeacakes · 22/11/2014 21:15

We were going to get take away too but I cooked Smile

Little bit spendy today but was expecting that.

£12 hat and gloves
£4.99 tights for dd's nativity.
£28 primark for dc mainly

Dp bought me a new coat Smile

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/11/2014 21:34

Ahem, DH now Grin

574ejones · 22/11/2014 21:43

£18 on bits and bobs including 2 timer switches to use on my slow cooker and heated airer when I'm at work. My eldest DS is home quite often but he is not reliable enough to trust to remember to turn things on and off!

I think trapped wind is normal after an operation, but horrible nonetheless. Did you find that having the nasogastric tube taken out was like vomiting out through your nose MissA? I hope you have a comfortable night.

SpottyTeacakes · 23/11/2014 07:15

I'm never going to remember that fluffy!

lilacclery · 23/11/2014 07:23

Been so long since I posted I'm not even going to recap on spends. Will start again today.

Congrats spotty and miss a delighted that op is over you & you're down to one tube. Sdd Had a pregnant belly of wind post op she just had to wait for nature to take it's course.

We really need a food shop but ive loads to do here, going to try persuade dh to go & take kiddos with him.

Childcare was expensive this week, finishing up with childminder tomo so had to pay 6 days & I was working yesterday so had to get babysitter so must pay her too.

fuzzpig · 23/11/2014 09:09

Yesterday - didn't go out so just some Xmas shopping online: £12.48 on 3 items.

Expensive tesco shop (laundry stuff included) due today, sigh.

lilacclery · 23/11/2014 09:29

fuzz just think of all the extras you would have bought in-store Grin

fuzzpig · 23/11/2014 10:47

That is true! I was relatively restrained.

The odd time I go to asda in town rather than shop online, OMG I get so much crap Shock

needastrongone · 23/11/2014 11:21

Looking like a NSD here Smile

lilacclery I will be round at yours for about 1pm, and stay the day, with that menu Smile

OhForFoxSakeYourPullingMyChain · 23/11/2014 12:05

Miss A - I had that after a c section with twins, hope your bearing up okay
Glad you had a great day, post a pic of you looking fab :)

574ejones · 23/11/2014 14:18

£30 on 3 presents and a hoodie in Saltrock's half price sale. Cooked a Thai chicken curry and cottage pie this weekend for easy mid week dinners. So close now to finishing my Christmas shopping now!

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/11/2014 16:00

£10 petrol
£10 meal in a Carvery.

Sixforgold · 23/11/2014 16:50

spotty well done for cooking! Surely you are perfectly within your rights to still be wafting around in newly wedded bliss scoffing take-away!

£8 on Lindt for work colleagues small pressies and that's me done. Just stamps for cards which I aim to have ready by the end of the week.

Bought my wedding dress today! £150 Monsoon sale :)

574ejones · 23/11/2014 16:59

Wow six that sounds like a bargain!

NK5BM3 · 23/11/2014 17:09

Went to church, but dh paid for the tithe. Then to waitrose for free coffee (but did buy some vouchers for a colleague, £40 but I'll get £20 back), and dh paid for cookies for the dd.

Came home, had lunch here. Kids went to birthday party and I stayed home to batch cook. Made brownies, banana muffins and lasagne.

We are having Indian takeaway from sainsburys tonight... Kids will have lasagne and we will have lasagne tomorrow too.

Happy Sunday evening everyone. Make the most of it till Monday rolls here. Blush

fuzzpig · 23/11/2014 17:16

£70.17 tesco delivery. That's it.

One advantage to the shitty weather I guess Hmm
