Hello All,
I've taken the liberty (again!) of starting our new thread for August. The merrily sort of ties in with Christmas and keeping an eye on any bargains out there, if you're super organised and like planning ahead.

Today's spends were £5.10 on travel, £1.20 on 2 bottles of water, £4.20 on 2 hot chocolates and £17.25 on a meal out (long story!).

Oh im oh so skint. Is it me or is the end of the August hard ?! Spent so much money through the holidays aswell as more on food as dd has been at home and school uniform arrgghh It's all at once.

Looking foward to getting back on track for September.

Yeah! Weirdly looking forward to starting sensible september! Despite today being the final day of a great summer of fun I'm ready for a return to routine.

Our bank balance is near to zilch but I'm feeling like it's all been money well spent - it's been a summer to remember!

See you over on the new thread everyone Smile

A nsd for me, plus a no cook day too as was away at a workshop all day and knew I'd be tired when I returned home so did bacon in slow cooker last night, and the mash & cabbage was also cooked last night.

needastrongone · 31/08/2014 21:00

Tis planning it all isn't it lilacclery? We had roast chicken tonight, which means I'll do a risotto tomorrow as I have some bacon and leek which need using, plus the chicken. Which will work well as I am at work, then at the consultant, so home late. I'll make a stock then and freeze or do a soup.

I also bought a gammon from Morrison's on offer, so will bung in the slow cooker, which will do a meal and sandwiches for us all for the rest of the week and surely cheaper than shop bought sliced ham.

The dog is limping and feeling sorry for himself and following me round like a lost sheep Sad

misstired - just made DS try on the trousers which I only bought in June. They will be ok, but not for long. Uniform sucks.
