Hello All,
I've taken the liberty (again!) of starting our new thread for August. The merrily sort of ties in with Christmas and keeping an eye on any bargains out there, if you're super organised and like planning ahead.

Today's spends were £5.10 on travel, £1.20 on 2 bottles of water, £4.20 on 2 hot chocolates and £17.25 on a meal out (long story!).

MissA have you seen the prices that they are on other websites? I found one and was aghast to see some books for £90! I'll see if I can find it and give you a link.

AuditAngel · 28/08/2014 09:58

MissA this is the site I found previously:chalet books for sale they also buy books so perhaps ask them first?

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 28/08/2014 12:23

Shock my god I am being robbed! I'll definitely ring them, probably too late for those books already listed Sad mug that I am Thanks audit

Iamnotanugget · 28/08/2014 13:13

missA just finish the bidding early on ebay. Until they've sold they're yours to do with as you wish.

£14 on ice cream and rides at park yesterday. Sort of nsd as today as entertaining dc using Groupon I got ages ago.

Badvoc123 · 28/08/2014 13:39

Missa.....just end your listing.
It's easy.

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/08/2014 15:12

I end listings if its not selling. You'd be surprised how much stuff I damage Wink

AuditAngel · 28/08/2014 15:12

I hope I helped, rather than just disppointing you Sad

AuditAngel · 28/08/2014 15:28

audit definitely helpful to know I might have a chance of making more money!
ohhelp they're old vintage children's books set in a school in Austria and later Switzerland in the 1920s-1950s. They're bonkers in a good way.

SpottyTeacakes · 28/08/2014 17:38

I spent £3 something getting dp some man flu remedies Hmm

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/08/2014 17:58

55p on the mirror.

Got a £43 shop from sains coming tonight, had a late night delivery because its cheaper.

There's a code for £20 off a £60 spend on hotukdeals.

fuzzpig · 28/08/2014 18:01

Hope you've cancelled those listings missA!

Booked a movies for juniors showing for Saturday - wanted to do something as it's his birthday and DH is working. He will probably choose macdonalds for lunch.

I spent a tenner on socks today - 2 packs of five pairs for school. Still need to get tights FFS.

CremeEggThief · 28/08/2014 18:20

Oh MissA. Seems such a shame to break up your collection, but needs must, I suppose.

£77 on hair, nails and waxing; £50 on having my living room, hall, stairs and landing carpets professionally cleaned, £7 on a haircut for DS, and £5.50 on bus fares. Tres spendy!

Rushing towards end of month now aren't we? After a spendy month I've managed to reduce my debt somewhat. This was due to covering a couple of extra classes & watching food budget. Even managed to save towards car tax due end Oct.
After quick discussion with dh have decided to pay money I saved towards new car against my credit cards & restart savings as he wouldn't be able to catch up to match it. This suits me very well.

Frugal win for today electricity bill has really come down thanks to plugging out chest freezer, by 20%!
Found a sale on small slow cookers so have reserved one for me and one for my mother. €5.99 for 1,5litres.

CompanionCube · 28/08/2014 23:20

I went to the cinema (for free) yesterday and we met later than usual so we didn't have time to wander around the shops like we usually do. So it only cost me bus fare.

I have just had a Tesco delivery so apart from DPs birthday (which money has been set aside for) I shouldn't need to spend any more this week.

CompanionCube · 28/08/2014 23:21

Shocked that plugging out the freezer saved that much!

lilacclery · 29/08/2014 00:20

companion cube the most annoying part is it had been on for 6 months storing a pork shoulder & some baps belonging to stepdaughter! Could've bought a whole pig for what we paid on electricity.

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 29/08/2014 06:23

oh no lilac we just bought a chest freezer thinking it was going to save us £££ on food Shock

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 29/08/2014 06:30

I've just ended all the chalet books with no bids - two have bids on, I feel bad about ending those? Am I even allowed to or will I get bad feedback Sad

SpottyTeacakes · 29/08/2014 06:58

No they can't leave feedback if they haven't won them Grin
