Does anyone have covid at the minute?

I think I might have covid - I've been feeling so weak since Saturday with bad headaches, slightly sore throat, really hot and sweaty, feel sick and generally feeling exhausted. Struggling to sleep and shaking too.

I don't have any covid tests so I've not tested.

Do these symptoms sound like covid?

Yea I have Covid for the first time! It started with a scratchy throat rather than sore then quite quickly really high temp with achey legs and hands strangely! I’m on day 6 now I have no taste or smell and a head cold with bad mucus cough.

Yes that's how it manifest with me, I would say I was shivering rather than shaking though. I also developed a really painful and immobilising neck pain. Was starting to worry about meningitis however the nhs website lists myalgia as a symptom. The neck pain has worn off, I've improved a bit but still feels like a really heavy cold.

Weird, mine doesn't feel like a cold at all. It's the sweaty claminess and generally feeling unwell that's bothering me.

The first time I had covid was around April last year and I just felt unwell but it didn't seem to last long. I initially thought this was stress but I am leaning towards covid or flu. Only other issue is I'm self employed so I haven't really been around people so no idea where it's came from!

Just clicked on that and that is exactly how I am!! I had weird dreams last night like night terrors and the sick feeling is this queasy hunger. It's so odd!!

I'm just getting over it.

There's a thread on here called something like "How is covid presenting now?" where lots of people have described how it is for them currently.

It's slightly complicated because there are two or three variants circulating at the moment with slightly different expected symptoms, and we can experience them differently.

For example the brain symptoms are anything from the usual loss of sense of smell and taste to brain fog and some people get joint pain or gastro symptoms and some don't.

Fatigue was probably the worst symptom for me. And the general befuddlement.

I am in bed at the moment at 1.30 in the afternoon. I was just on a thread on here, saying I've never had a symptom or positive test! 3 days ago,dry cough, funny throat. I couldn't sleep at all. Following day, ache all over, pyrexial, blocked nose, shivering, feeling sick, dreadful heartburn,so I didn't want to take analgesia,by last night every tooth and jaw ached,could hardly walk to the toilet.

Someone mentioned trying eating banana bread lying down. I've had the sick/queasy/hunger thing for 18months now, so going to try it too.

DH says I fell asleep on the loo.

I remember feeling exhausted and thinking I could just lay on the bathroom floor rather than make the long walk back to bed.

I'm on day 9 and still feel wretched. I hope you feel better soon OP. I had all your symptoms.

2 DGC Mum and other DGM ill last week fatigue cough sore throat dodgy tum both DGC sent home but didn't tested. 3rd DGC sick yesterday and tested due to previous pneumonia needing hospital admission positive as was Dad. I've tested positive today. Flu symptoms which have steadily increased a horrendous blocked nose hot and cold and nausea . Cleared the nose a bit with large amount of vapourrub {thank you lovely neighbour. Just taken a Lemsip and hoping to sleep. I have asthma so regularly checking breathing and heart rate whi h seem fine Def worse than first time round in early 2021

Yep. All those but with snot / sore throat. The worst of it didn't last long.

Weirdly it's also given me insane brain fog. I can't think of words and even forgot which car was ours!

My temp spiked up to 39.7c last night. I normally sleep on my stomach, but I can't lay down,nose blocks and headache/jaw ache/toothache gets much worse. The heavy duty paracetamol with caffeine didn't touch it last night. I can't sleep, normally with viruses, your body craves sleep, not mine! My head is muzzy and I have bad tinnitus in both ears.

Temp here spiked at 38.6!!!

Yep, have it for the first time ever .
Day 5 here . Started with temperature of 39.1. Aches, pains, very bad headache, the worst blocked nose I've ever had , sore teeth & gums and I'm exhausted. Fall asleep every time i sit down. Also having very vivid dreams . Woke up this morning and the only symptom i seem to still have is the blocked nose

Add the shits to the list of symptoms! Thought I was going to pass out, light headed dizzy.

I only slept about 3 hours last night, and not in one go, I was awake most of the night.

Thankfully my covid insomnia has passed now,it was truly awful,I was so wired and wide awake.

I'm not the only one wired and awake then. Just as one symptom eases off, another one takes its place! Could kick myself I gave my nextdoor neighbour a box of Covid tests last year (should have just given her one) now everyone has sold out.

Luckily my insomnia was only one night has now moved on to hacking cough!

You can get tests on Amazon, if you want to check? It does sound like the current strain, I know a couple of families who've just had it and it sounds rough.

Yes I have all these symptoms and have tested positive. I thought was just me with sore teeth and gums... Both times I've had it have had sore gums and teeth just on the right side of face...weird!

Cold symptoms have cleared a bit just have aching body and bones and extreme fatigue. Plus hot flushes alternated by chills.

I'm pretty confident mine is covid - I've had restless sleep for two nights now, I'm breathless and just feel so ill.
