If you could go back in time, would you still get the Covid jab?

I don’t really care if you’re vaccinated or not, but I’m interested if people would go back and change their decision?

OP posts:
Atethehalloweenchocs · 29/12/2022 19:03

OP, did the people who said they would not get it say why?

AnnieSnap · 29/12/2022 19:03

Yes of course I would 🙄

Newmama29 · 29/12/2022 19:04

Absolutely not. Since I’ve had it I have had nothing but viruses & poor health. Maybe it’s not related but it’s the only thing that changed & I hadn’t had Covid before the jab so it’s the shitty health isn’t “long Covid”

gluteustothemaximus · 29/12/2022 19:04

No. It messed up my periods so much, for several months.

And I got covid 3 times anyway.

DH also says no.

DS1 also says no.

My younger kids will not have the vaccine.

TheWatcherok · 29/12/2022 19:04

Absolutely not. I think it's a load of Hmm

Strawberriesandmelons · 29/12/2022 19:05

No I only got it so I could go on holiday

Georgyporky · 29/12/2022 19:05

"More than half are academics, one barrister etc."

Doesn't mean they have any common sense, or medical knowledge.

chocolateasaltyballs22 · 29/12/2022 19:05

Yes, I've had three. But I'm not having any more. The NHS are nagging me to have another booster but I'm done.

Gooseysgirl · 29/12/2022 19:06

Yes. In a heartbeat.

Forever42 · 29/12/2022 19:06

Yes, I'm happy to take any vaccines offered. We are so privileged to be in a position of having vaccines available to us.

Roselilly36 · 29/12/2022 19:06

I decided not to take the jab for a very specific reason, I do not regret my decision, it was the right decision for me.

XenoBitch · 29/12/2022 19:07

I never had it to start with. I did want it (unable to though due to a severe needle phobia), but now the pressure is off, I don't feel a need to. I am kind of resenting the fact I felt pressure to begin with. Pressure doe not make for proper informed consent.
I had Covid in the summer anyway. I was ill for a day and breezed through it. I did pass it on to someone who was very ill despite them being fully jabbed.

Scarecrowrowboat · 29/12/2022 19:07

First three yes, fourth I was ill for a couple of weeks so not sure. On the other hand I've never had covid so.

BlueBirdAmberBird · 29/12/2022 19:08

No. With the swine flu vaccine, it caused one excess death and they scrapped the vaccine altogether. With the Covid vaccine, there have been scores of excess deaths, and they kept it. They aren't treating it as they would any other vaccine.

sparkles82 · 29/12/2022 19:08

Apparently you get a free toaster with your tenth jab 😉

BeardyButton · 29/12/2022 19:08

This is such a bs thread. Agenda a mile wide. 9 people said they wouldn’t get it? If 9 of my 12 friends admitted this, it would make me think seriously about my friendship group.

MissingMoominMamma · 29/12/2022 19:08

I honestly don’t know. I’ve had Covid once, and it was horrible for a week, but so were both of the jabs I’ve had…

EmmaAgain22 · 29/12/2022 19:09

No. I only had it because I was genuinely scared I'd be stopped from seeing mum in hospital or care home - she's been poorly on and off a long time.

Then I had so much trouble (palpitations, BP) after the second one, I said no more.

I was very scared I'd be prevented from working in certain places and accessing normal life as well.

clarepetal · 29/12/2022 19:09

Yes

mummac4 · 29/12/2022 19:09

Me yes
DH unsure
DS no he was only 15 when he got his covid vaccine. He was offered it early because of my illness and disabilities. He has been ill since last sept. Missed so much school hobbies and couldn't sit his exams. Many many Dr appointments peds appointments we've been told it could be long covid he has. I'd like to add i did not force him in anyway. The letter came in on aug he decided in sept to have the vaccine.

KezzabellaB · 29/12/2022 19:10

Yes. All of them. Can't think of a good reason why I wouldn't tbh!

Me too

Never had the jab and don’t regret not getting it.

So many people I know are sick or have been sick, all got the vaccine. Those of us that didn’t get it, aren’t ill and haven’t been ill.

Same, had covid symptoms in March 2020, wasn't particularly unwell. Never expected my age group to actually come up so was initially hesitant, then decided against it. Would do the same again. I know many people who haven't had it and they are all in good health for their age, none are ill. Some people I know who did have it have since had health issues. Could be coincidental of course.

Nikla · 29/12/2022 19:11

No, I wouldn't have bothered.

I had 3 but I didn't actually want any of them. In all honesty, I only had them in case I wanted to go on holiday. I also felt a pressure from people around me to have them.

I always had a worry in the back of my mind that there may be some side effects years down the line and we will all look back and regret having it.

knittingaddict · 29/12/2022 18:51

That's got to be highly unusual and an indication of the demographics of the people you mix with. I don't know anyone who hasn't had it.

Are they all telling the truth though?

if I'm asked, I say I'm vaccinated. I don't tell them I've not had booster number 32 or whatever.
