If you could go back in time, would you still get the Covid jab?

I don’t really care if you’re vaccinated or not, but I’m interested if people would go back and change their decision?

This is from this morning.. no doubt people will be crying about it being the sun but it was in every paper. To quote the noble Dr, the vaccine was 100% at stopping covid. Why haven't we heard it before asks Phillip....well maybe because it was a load of bllocks? This is just one eg of rubbish we all heard to get the vaccine*

Don't watch This Morning or ever read that scumbag paper ( Liverpool) . Never seen that before.

But I still got the vaccine.

sunglassesonthetable · 03/02/2023 00:16

What's the point, any link that doesn't go along with covid being the black death gets taken down and post deleted with accusations of being an anti vaxxer. It's a waste of time and effort unless the article comes from the Guardian or BBC.

Well you're the absolute don of the sweeping statement I'll give you that. 😁

RafaistheKingofClay · 03/02/2023 00:50

To quote the noble Dr, the vaccine was 100% at stopping covid.

At the risk of being accused of shouting you down, your own link doesn’t say that the doctor said the vaccine was 100% at stopping covid. She says it was 100% effective at preventing death from covid. Which is not what I think you were trying to claim.

An invitation to the people on this thread..
Just take a step back for a second and imagine what the militant vaccine fans posting here look like:
Are they in an office?
Are they with other people?
Why are they spending so much time on this forum telling off scared people who have been effected by the Covid response and vaccine rollout?
Why would they do that?
Why would they go online and spend loads of time saying how wonderful these products are and how great the government is?

Does the article you linked to mention the word transmission?

I'd like another one if it's going

MinkyGreen · 03/02/2023 07:30

The vaccines are most effective at reducing serious illness with COVID-19 and admission to hospital. They will also reduce overall transmission by reducing the total number of cases and serious cases, so reducing the likelihood of being exposed and exposing others.

sunglassesonthetable · 03/02/2023 07:35

Not sure who you're telling off @FieldsOfRoses but you're not @statementstate in disguise are you?

sunglassesonthetable · 03/02/2023 07:46

Some anti vaccine types bearing grudges and absolutely off on one on this thread.

"lizard person" 🤦‍♀️

Mycatsgoldtooth · 03/02/2023 08:50

I think looking at the rate of refusal for boosters nationally would be the best way of seeing how people felt about the vaccines. Also, deaths are high across all the vaccinated countries post vaccines, and funnily enough not in the the unvaccinated countries, in younger age groups too.

Some people on this thread being very selective about the debate on all this. During covid people who were against some of the crazy measures were abused by the majority who supported them. It hardly went both ways.

Where does this information come from? I would like to see a source.

What a comment - I reckon you get the gold star today!

Ring the bell...

MinkyGreen · 03/02/2023 10:11

I would say 13 billion doses administered is a good way to show how people feel about the vaccine. And the fact that we can now live with freedom. Thanks to the high uptake. 70% globally.

Low uptake is in some of the poorest countries. You need to look at comparable European countries. For example Sweden had one of the highest vaccine uptakes and lowest death rates.

It’s the misinformation that is frustrating. Not the debate.

It absolutely did.

Hmm thanks but loads of better comments than mine!

CountryLifeIsTwigsAndShit · 03/02/2023 10:42

I’m not sure if I would. I haven’t had a booster for over a year because I’m not entitled to one. I had covid at the start of the pandemic anyway. I’m out and about as normal now, I have tested positive for covid twice since. I think I had the vaccine out of anxiety and being swept along with the hysteria, rather than knowing the facts, and I do wonder what the long term effects might be from the vaccine as it was very new.

It significantly reduced hospitalisations and deaths.

Research has shown the vaccines help:

reduce your risk of getting seriously ill or dying from COVID-19
reduce your risk of catching or spreading COVID-19
protect against COVID-19 variants
