If you could go back in time, would you still get the Covid jab?

I don’t really care if you’re vaccinated or not, but I’m interested if people would go back and change their decision?

Yep.

sunglassesonthetable · 27/01/2023 19:27

stop spouting rubbish

sunglassesonthetable · 27/01/2023 19:28

sorry not you @Luredbyapomegranate

lilyflower1803 · 27/01/2023 19:34

Yes, I was 38wes pregnant when I first had covid, I dread Tor hunk how bad it could have been... who knows if the jab did anything, but it was a safety net and I didn't end up as unwell as I could have been.

@PartiallySage

I accept that’s your personal view, but your anecdotal evidence isn’t backed up
the global data now that approx 70% of the world has been vaccinated. I’ll keep repeating : the most reliable evidence is global consensus opinion. Not hunches, anecdotal observations or fringe studies that have no peer backing.

sunglassesonthetable · 28/01/2023 13:47

Dark times. The coercion and fear tactics were a disgrace.

Lots of talk about 'coercion tactics' creeping into the Covid/vaccine rhetoric. It feels like kind of a last resort argument.

I look at Afghanistan and think there's coercion and fear tactics. Or China when people were locked into houses.

Not Jean and Nigel missing their annual on the Brava. Or girls night out at the wine bar.

sunglassesonthetable · 28/01/2023 14:10

No. Definitely wouldn't get it. I know so many people who have had horrible reactions, from repeated doses of shingles to rapid onset of arthritis, to blood clots. All put their conditions down to the vaxx.

A very, very unfortunate cluster of family, friends and acquaintances. Would make an informative scientific study since it bucks all trends.

EsmeShelby · 28/01/2023 14:11

Yes. Why not?

sunglassesonthetable · 28/01/2023 14:13

Have you alerted the press? Or any scientific community? As it is very unusual.

So these were all medical professionals who might be able to assess causality? If not, they should be very careful. All of them might be hit by meteors as well. Tell them to stay indoors.

But this isn't bourne out by population level data @PartiallySage

The fact that billions of doses have been given has allowed side effects, even very rare ones, to be identified. This includes carditis, CVSTs, disturbances to the menstrual cycle etc.

Absolutely no evidence that the things you're listing are causally associated with vaccination, and it's bizzare you happen to personally know so many people who think this.

To borrow an oft used phrase - open your eyes to the evidence in front of you.

MajorCarolDanvers · 28/01/2023 14:58

I've had my 4th now and I will keep getting them as long as I'm offered them.

A sore arm for a few days v Covid or worse.

It's an easy choice.

What has the vaccine actually done??

Listening to reporting from China last week. Covid ripping through. One small village of 1,000 people had buried 400 people.

*Cos most people who are on their third bout seen to be fully vaxxed?? Meanwhile the rest of us are fine.
*
What, is that in your family? Your street maybe? Everyone in your office? The people you know from your kids school? Or do you mean the entire world of billions who have had the vaccine.

God alive.

I have clients in China. I work in the media - do you really believe what you see?

Yes. I ask the same question every time on these threads and not one of the people who 'understands' the vaxx is dangerous, nor any of the people who 'know' these dozens of vaccine injured (or dead) people, ever choses to answer: Since doctors are the ones who would see, on a daily basis, all these vaccine injured patients, how do you explain that they are overwhelmingly choosing vaccination and boosters for themselves and their families?

@Marmunia10661975

Why do you ignore every poster pointing out there is replicated independent analysis demonstrating vaccine efficacy and side effect profiles?

No-one needs to believe the media if they don't want to (and of course it's prudent to take reporting with a large pinch of salt) - but you can literally go direct to the first hand sources, if you could be bothered.

I work as a scientist, I am familiar with how you can report something cautiously and with lots of caveats, and yet the headline is totally unrecognisable.

Yes, it's safe and effective. 🙄I find that scientists and the medical fraternity have their heads buried in the sand. The rest of us think outside the box.

This reply make no sense.

There is evidence, that you can literally read with your own eyes, showing efficacy and side effect profiles of the vaccines. Some data sources/code are open access so you could even rerun the analysis yourself.

This is not a single trial from "big pharma", it's from hundreds of various data sources globally, conducted by independent research institutes, regulatory bodies, academics etc.

Why do you think the tens of thousands of scientists and clinicians who have been involved in evaluating vaccines are "unable to think outside the box", but you are?

bronzepig · 28/01/2023 18:32

Indeed, it's ironic that you blindly repeat claims from various anti-vaccine groups without applying any kind of critical thought @Marmunia10661975 , whilst accusing everyone else of being ignorant.

Clouds3898 · 28/01/2023 18:37

Meh, dunno. Only had it to go on holiday and because it felt like the right thing to do at the time to protect granny. Never bothered with the third one. Have had covid both pre and post vaccination and it was a mild sniffle both times. The vaccine made me very ill, scarily so after the second one so hard to say really. Can't see me ever rushing out to have anymore

BarrelOfOtters · 28/01/2023 18:55

Had all the jabs, delayed booster as caught covid badly after previous booster wore off. First time covid, no hurry to get it badly again…so just got boosted again as I’m over 50 and about to go away to the states.

BarrelOfOtters · 28/01/2023 18:56

Have one friend who hasn’t had his last booster, he’s convinced a detached retina was due to the booster, rather than his age…he’s 65 ish.

Excellent stuff 👍🏻

I don't disbelieve everything I see, is the answer.

Perhaps you do know more than any news agency🤷‍♀️ but seriously I doubt it. Not from what you write.
