Yes.

IndigoC · 21/02/2022 01:08

^In shops, anyway. I'm still avoiding the supermarket.

Topseyt · 21/02/2022 01:19

No. I don't. Hate the fucker.

I will now only wear a mask in a medical setting such as for a hospital or GP appointment.

I was in London on the tube the other day, and then on the train later. Very few people were wearing masks, including me.

@MostlyNormalSometimesOdd

Yes, for two reasons, 1 - I'm in Scotland and wearing masks in shops is still advised. 2 - it's sheer fucking lunacy not to
Don't be ridiculous.

Yes.

I don't want Covid, I know several people who've been really quite ill with it (and worse, in one case) and we know it's still rife, so I wear an FFP2 in supermarkets and shops, it gives some protection and causes me no issues. If I had Covid asymptomatically it would give some protection to anyone I bumped into and make some small reduction in the spread. An easy decision in my case.

Interesting there's so many yeses. When I go shopping hardly anyone has a mask on. Mumsnet never seems to reflect reality on any subject. Its weird.

I see plenty of people wearing masks and plenty who don't. Given that you just don't know how Covid will affect you, vaccinated or not, and that masks protect other people should you have it without symptoms I'll continue to wear one.

Presumably you don't go shopping across the whole of the UK.
MintJulia · 21/02/2022 08:07

I'd say we are down to about 40% of adults wearing masks in the local Tesco.

I go very early in the morning to avoid the scrum and still wear a mask. I'll stop when summer comes.
