Dd1 tested positive 8 days ago, dd2 positive 4 days later. OH and I zero symptoms, constant negative lft, we are both triple jabbed. I had resigned myself to definitely catching it.....But now, dare I hope we'll dodge it??

Yup. Sorry. Ds got it, we both tested positive on his day 8, then his brother the day after that!

APurpleSquirrel · 10/02/2022 18:54

We did. DD tested positive, 4 days later I did, another 4 days & DS tested positive & following day DH did too. But none of us isolated in the house (god I'd have loved isolating away from the kids for a few days!) & DH & I both work from home, so from the day DD tested positive we all pretty much stayed at home for the entire time.

Bwix · 10/02/2022 18:54

Got it from mine, sorry 😞

Mia5678 · 10/02/2022 18:55

First time I didn’t get it but my partner did. Then daughter caught it for a second time and I’ve got it and partner hasn’t.

You might stay lucky!

AllThingsServeTheBeam · 10/02/2022 18:56

Me and DP both triple jabbed got it. DC, neither have jabs never tested positive 🤷

feellikeanalien · 10/02/2022 18:56

I've had two jabs and the booster and tested positive on day 4 following DD testing positive. It hasn't been too bad but I could have done without it. Now on day 8 and still testing positive.

JaniceBingALing · 10/02/2022 18:57

As a teacher who covers 2 classes with 3 kids of my own in 3 separate classes and tonnes of covid cases in each class I was sure at least one of us would have had it by now.. but nope!

Margotshypotheticaldog · 10/02/2022 18:57

Oh. Yikes.
We've all been laying low since the first positive 8 days ago and for the first few days I was having phantom symtoms. But just today I started to make tentative plans to venture out maybe next Sunday or Monday... We're not quite out of the woods yet though it seems 😪
Anyone out there not get it from the kids? Anyone??

Nowhere to isolate from each other here either. Would have loved 10 days in a hotel on my own 😁

Yes but mine are 6 and 3 so always in my face with no sense of personal space! I had it mildly, just a sore throat and snotty nose, DH suffered a bit more. We tested positive on days 7 and 8 for first child.

Hillbillyhotel · 10/02/2022 19:00

Nope. Three positive kids and my dh,three weeks of COVID in the house in September,I stayed negative and still haven’t caught it.

Sweetie1980 · 10/02/2022 19:01

My ds got it ten days ago, dd got it 4 days ago their dad got it two days ago. I am still negative and have been with kids the entire time, very close contact. Keep thinking that I am going to be positive any time !

beeboop2018 · 10/02/2022 19:02

We didnt catch it off our 4 year old. We are Triple jabbed and she basically coughed in our faces for a week and we remained negative. Many lft done and 1 PCR for me. Amazing really that escaped.

TheVanguardSix · 10/02/2022 19:04

Last year, my former husband had covid and was hospitalised/ventilated- he survived... I say 'former' because I'm divorcing the assclown not because he died! And to think I cried and prayed over him last year... anyhow, back to the topic at hand:

None of us caught it, amazingly.
Roll on this December and I got it from DC who brought it home for Christmas from uni. Great present!
And then my two younger ones fell victim.
That's 4 of us over a period of a month, one by one.
I think I tested positive about a week after my son came home with symptoms. I'm not jabbed though (I have a high risk of arterial dissections, which is a fun little sword of Damocles to live under) and honestly, it wasn't that bad. It wasn't fun, but I could still cook, clean, do the laundry, manage life in a sort of 'walking dead' mode. Grin
You may very well just dodge it though, OP. Lots of people do give it the swerve. Good luck!!

LazyDoll · 10/02/2022 19:05

Nope. 4 x. No Covid for either my husband or I. There is hope!

Sweetie1980 · 10/02/2022 19:06

Same -ds sneezed over me twice and dd coughed in my face! Plus we have been in a heated room together..

missy111 · 10/02/2022 19:09

I did..my husband didn't! Both triple jabbed, but I am on immunosuppressants.

TheMissingMango · 10/02/2022 19:11

Both my kids had it within two days of each other. I caught it on first child's day 6. Husband never caught it.

Tiredmum100 · 10/02/2022 19:21

Well dc 1 is on day 9 and dc 2 day 7 and me and dh are negative so far.

ShouldersBackChestOutChinUp · 10/02/2022 19:22

Yes! I got it from ds1 aged 16. Then ds3, aged 9, got it from me.

And the remaining three members of the family evaded it. Don't know how.

BooksAndHooks · 10/02/2022 19:22

No neither DH or I caught it. Both times only the child in question had it none of their siblings caught it either.

Juanbablo · 10/02/2022 19:23

No I didn't. 2 of them had it but didn't catch it from each other. Dd got it first, then 7 days after her isolation ended, ds1 caught it from school. No one else got it.

camelfinger · 10/02/2022 19:24

Yes. Day 4.

Ricepops · 10/02/2022 19:25

Some people here are testing positive on day 7 or day 8, but recommendations are only to test for 7 days if you are a close contact. Would people recommend daily testing for longer? 10 days?

AColdDuncanGoodhew · 10/02/2022 19:27

We did, daughter first then my mum followed by me, son, mother in law, few days later my husband, few days later my stepdad.

Seven of us over the course of seven days. Everyone's fine now other than me which is just great. Kids are too young for vaccinations but the other five of us are all triple jabbed.
