My PCR results aren't going to be back in time are they :(

Had a PCR two days ago as have a cold and wanted confirmation before Christmas with all my family. Came back void the next morning. Went for another PCR as soon as I could which was yesterday afternoon and I just feel like I know it won't be back in time for when we were supposed to head down to my families tomorrow. I hope I'm wrong but I feel like I'm just sat around staring at my phone waiting to see if my Christmas is cancelled or not anyone in the same boat

DD did hers 12.30 yesterday, still waiting, E Mids.

I had mine at 3pm yesterday and still nothing but we’ve just done laterals and they came up positive straight away. I am devastated and absolutely terrified

Keep an eye on your emails OP. I got a negative result via email just before midnight last week, but the text didn’t come through until 6am. Fingers crossed for you!

Mine from Tuesday came at 8:40pm tonight. Posted at 12:30pm on Tuesday in South West (wiltshire). Negative thank god!!

Still no results. Just gone up to bed and went to brush my teeth and saw our LFTs from earlier. They were negative at 30 mins but look like this now. Oh no 😭

I second this. If Flowflex (white and blue box, nasal only), they are renowned for throwing up a positive if read beyond 30 mins

Thats why the info states to check in 30 minutes only

Not flowflex, was a throat and nose swab this is my second box of these and I've never had a line come up at all, even days later

After 30mins the test is inaccurate. I had same problem a few months ago and had a false positive. You have a cold !

Well do another one, check after 30 mins and go by that.

Mine took 36 hours - test yesterday at 12 and results came thru at 8pm tonight. So ver relieved. They are very busy. Hopefully yours will arrive soon.

Do another one tomorrow and chuck it away after 30 min so you aren't tempted to look at it later.

Four of us tested yesterday morning and we all got our results today. Fingers crossed your hear back asap.

I had a positive LFT last Saturday, after symptoms started on Friday. Went for a PCR the same day, and I still haven’t heard anything!
All my subsequent LFTs have been negative though. With the reduction in isolation to 7 days I might be out of isolation before I even know if I definitely had it 😂

I would of put money on it just being a cold. I was genuinely going to go tomorrow if the results weren't back. Im so shocked. My Christmas is cancelled 😭

For those still waiting check them NHS app if you have logged into it - mine were on there with no email and no text (test was over 48 hours ago)

Have you done another LFT and checked after the correct amount of time?

I reckon you will get it back for Xmas day! I have a pcr every week for work, they get sent away too and this week I had it Tues and back Thurs do 3 days.

Take another test in the morning.
And Google " pregnancy rhinitis "

They've been telling people results will take 48+ at our local test drive through. Said they're really really busy so not to expect them in 24 hours.

I did a walk in one on weds and got results in less than 24hrs. Did the test at 8am weds got results at 6am thurs.

Oh OP, I’m so sorry. At least you know for sure before seeing your dad. I know Christmas feels ruined, but maybe try and make it special for the two of you. Hope you get well soon.
