Getting flashbacks to trying to get an online supermarket delivery slot March last year.

Fuck.

Anyone else been in the queue? It says about 10 minutes wait but that hasn’t changed for quite a lot of minutes already.

Can I ask, if you have a booked appointment but then get an earlier walk-in jab, to be sure to cancel the booked appointment so someone else can use it? Every shift there are no-shows; we text the booker to see if they have forgotten or are running late, and the answer is very often 'Oh, I got a walk-in'.

If closer centres are not showing on the system it is probably because they are small and overwhelmed. Our volunteers have dwindled over the last year to a solid core of mid-lifers fitting in shifts between sorting out their teens and aged parents , and retirees working pretty much a full week unpaid, week after week after week,

I tried the online booking system after midnight and hot straight in. However it let me choose a time and date then got stuck inna loop of going back to the beginning.

I'm trying to phone my walk in centre but that buy too. I really cant be arsed to keep on trying. Surely there is a simpler way than this

@SomebodysMum

Thanks everyone.

NHS sure has unsurprisingly crashed now. I will try again when my 3 year old wakes me ridiculously early in the morning tomorrow. I’m not usually grateful for the 5am starts but maybe I will be tomorrow!

Good luck op hope you get it at that time

I had a walk in and tried to cancel my original appointment and it had automatically cancelled already
